How have more people not found this place? Sure, Tui-nai places are a dime a dozen in Flushing/ Queens but this place sets itself apart by doing the following: 1. Heated massage tables. Oh, yeah! Great during this damn winter. 2. Professional atmosphere. The masseuses are all dressed in smocks like you would find at a doctor's office. The entire area is well lit and clean. 3. Great massage if you like deep tissue. Some places charge extra for that. Not here. They also have the bars on the ceiling if you like your masseuse to walk on you. Finally, they incorporate elements of Thai massage to use your own body to stretch itself. 4. 10 visits and get one free. read more

Judy did my minifacial and Ada did my hour body massage. Both were absolutely incredible! Judy had the softest touch and made my skin glow. Ada made sure to ask about my problem areas beforehand so she could make sure to focus on them and make me feel my absolute best. Wow. The woman working the counter there told me to never come back here after i gave a 25 percent tip. This is sort of wild. Honestly, the massage was pretty painful and awful, but I felt bad so I tipped as i know a massage takes a lot of work. The woman running the counter was nuts and screamed at me for giving too little. I was like, are you crazy? I'm giving a huge tip. I feel like the workers here are monetarily exploited by the woman running the counter who i think is the boss. She literally told me to never come back because of the 25 percent tip lol ... So I haven't been to the Sense Beauty Spa in many months, but let me tell you (not for any reason just been busy). I called them about 2:30pm and I said can I get an appt. for today I need some lashes on my face asap my bday is coming up. They told me to come in at 4pm, so when I arrived they were just as pleasant as always and made sure I was comfortable, I was so happy with the results. I was coming home from work at 6:20 pm, and I decided I wanted to get a facial. I yelped and saw that Sense was open late and was really close to home. I got an appointment for 700 pm same day. I've been really stressed out lately and my face has been breaking out pretty bad. Judy did an amazing job. She worked on my face for an hour and a half. She extracted for a really long time, very thorough. She did a bunch of different things but she finished up with a cooling mask and a shoulder massage, I felt so relaxed after. Amazing service to match the amazing full body massage. We came due to a gift certificate from family. Service is outstanding. They let us reschedule our original time without hesitation. We were also late due to their google map address being incorrect-- however they didn't deduct from our 1 hour and gave us the full hour time. We had Nancy and Maria give us full body work treatment. I recommended this place to my boyfriend after he attended an athletic competition. He went in for a body massage for $40 an hour and afterwards he gave a $10 tip. Even though that's already a generous tip given that he wasn't completely satisfied afterwards, the ladies pressured him to give them more tip. Being his first time alone, he thought he made a mistake and doubled the tip to $20. Don't be lured by the prices here. They have no class or "sense". read more

My best friend was given two-one hour body massages from her boss' friend and decided to take me (Thanks gurlll) We made the decision to come on a Tuesday evening. Upon arrival Sense beauty spa definitely had a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was also very nice. My friend was already waiting for me in the common area. Once I stepped in and greeted her, the masseuse led the way. We got the same room. The room was very clean and had all the necessities. My masseuse was pretty awesome, she could tell where all the knots were and continued to work in that section to get all the kinks out. The entire body massage felt like a combination of a Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone massage. Best of all worlds? Haha. I definitely felt great after, like a new born baby. Thinking about going? This is place is very clean and the instrumental Disney songs in the background is pleasant and surprisingly very relaxing. This is my regular spot to get my eyelash extensions done and I usually get it done by Juju. I recently had Kayla and another girl doing my lashes and it has been done to the same standard that I am use to. I am unsure of their massages but their facials are really thorough (maybe too thorough?) but your face will definitely feel "brand new". read more

I would suggest not coming to Sense Beauty Spa unless you enjoy painful massages that leave your back hurting the next day. My masseuse wasn't too terrible, although the technique was painful and not exactly enjoyable. I went for this massage with my best friend and I did not like the way the masseuse was treating her. She was telling her to relax even though she was making pained sounds and telling her she needs a facial and trying to make her spend more money. I'm not a fan of business tactics that try to pool money out of people and are degrading. We will not be coming back, 1 extra star for cleanliness. I called about 6ish for a 6:30pm couples massage and luckily enough they have a 6:40am available to which we booked and arrived on time. They took us after a few minutes. This Spa has hostile therapists. They are not very caring and certainly not Senior friendly. It is a bit pricey when compared to other area Spas which is silly because the quality of service is poor. The rooms are hotter than they should be considering they do have A/C available. The technicians are not well-trained nor caring. They seldom miss a text message on their cell phones while on duty. It used to have higher standards several years ago. At that time it was 4 stars. Very sad to say it has declined and I am sorry to post this review but honesty is the best policy. I was recommended by a friend to get my eyebrows microbladed by JoJo. All the staff were very kind and sweet, and JoJo helped me a lot as well! She outlined my brows which came to my liking, and I showed her a lot of pictures of how I wanted my brows to look like. When she began the numbing cream seemed to have not worked for me because every pinch stung a lot for me, but I ignored it. The finishing result was not how I wanted it to be, and it was hard to communicate because of a language barrier as well but I explained to her how I wanted my eyebrows to have that straight Korean look and even showed her pictures but she kept saying that's how my brows looked like when in reality, they looked like tadpole shaped eyebrows. I couldn't say much more because they truly were kind but the outcome was just not to my liking. Also, they told me the price was 400 when clearly on the phone they stated it to be 350 and my friend said it was 350 as well, and still not liking it I felt bad and tipped them 20.. might have been a mistake to do that. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I called and made an appointment for my daughter to get a 3 wk eyelash fill. The woman I spoke to when I made the appointment was very friendly. I explained I was making the appointment for my daughter (who is 21) and she had he lashes done in California but lives here and needs a fill. The woman was very nice about it and I felt good about this place. My daughter showed up for her appt a few minutes early and while explaining to the woman (I believe it was the owner) what she wanted the woman started to yell at her. My daughter got very nervous and tried calling her sister who had taken her to get them done originally just to make sure she was stating the correct information but the woman didn't seem to care about anything my daughter was trying to tell her. My daughter also had the eyelash package from the original lashes that were used and the woman yelled at her that those aren't what's on her eyes. She also told her she would have to remove the original lashes and do a whole new set and it would be $100. All the while yelling the information. A fill should only be $45-65 so I feel like she was trying to intimidate my daughter so she would allow her to do unnecessary work so she could charge her more for it. Funny how she was yelling at her to hurry up because she was busy but there was NO ONE ELSE IN THE SALON. My poor child tends to get very quiet when in confrontational situations and said she didn't know what to do so she left. I feel at fault since I'm the Yelper that found this place. I found it on Yelp and thought "ok Bayside, it's got good reviews, should be a good place" HOW WRONG WAS I!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! Disappointed in the way they massaged- I still gave a tip because they were awkwardly waiting behind me ! I would never recommend anyone to come here as during my massage Jennifer, my masseuse kept telling me I needed a facial and to relax. Well I can't relax if you keep talking to me! They didn't deserve our tip and although the front desk lady was very sweet, she didn't know that these ladies can't massage at all. Very disappointed as almost all of the asian spas I've been to have never asked me to get a facial or tell me to relax or beat my body up even though I asked for a Swedish massage. And Ive been to so many! The room was beautiful and clean but the massage was terrible! They also have no training because they kept pressing hard on my lower back! It's pretty obvious we don't do that in Swedish massage and it was hurting my spine! I'm sure they have better services but do not come here for a massage! This is not a testament to their spa services, but rather to their customer service and how they sell their products. I had scheduled for a regular facial and as soon as I walked in, the lady who greeted me, started commenting on my skin and saying how a regular facial would not be good enough for my skin and I would need to get the acne treatment instead. I understand that my skin is not the best, but if you are trying to sell a service or product, please explain to me how one product is different from the other. What would be the benefits of getting the acne treatment over the regular facial. Explaining it in a way that makes sense to the customer. Simply saying that you have too much acne and that the acne treatment will be "good" for your acne DOES NOT count as selling the service. If you can't explain your own service or product and how it will benefit my skin, how do I know as a customer, without the service jargon, that this service will indeed help? For your information, good is a terrible word to describe how beneficial something will be. If you have the special product for the acne treatment, tell me what it does and how it will be better than other products out there. If they had explained better how the acne treatment was different from the regular facial, that might have made a difference. All in all, my first impression is that they can't explain their own service very well other than using the word "good" and do not really care to explain. read more

Terrible~! Dont do eyelash extension here. I would give NO STAR if i can. This place is totally overpriced. They keep you 2-3 hrs for the lashes and it doesn't last a week. They charge you 30dollars for one week retouch and 15 for couple of days retouch. Jojo is nice but everyone does terrible job on the eyelash extensions. read more
