I love a good spa break, so I had high expectations for this spa. The Grand Floridian is the ultimate luxury Disney resort, so I expected the spa to match. While I had a good experience, it was very basic and missed the mark on luxury for me. I used Disney transportation to get to the spa and it took almost 2 hours to get from my resort (Pop Century) to the spa - allow plenty of time to get there! I thought the spa was hard to find. There's not a lot of signage and it is not inside the resort. You will need to walk outside to the separate spa building. The Cast Members were all wonderful. I was given an in-depth tour of the facilities and left to change into the comfiest robe ever. Unfortunately, there were no seats available in the lounge so I had to stand until post-service guests left. There were lots of people talking loudly or even taking phone calls inside the locker room which detracted from the experience. My massage was $200 plus tip for 50 minutes. I thought this was pretty expensive and I was disappointed that it was not a very luxurious experience. The lotion used was ice cold and my therapist was a little loose with the draping which sometimes made me feel very exposed. The massage itself was nice, with good pressure, but I thought it was on the same level as what I get at my local spa for $85. Overall, this was just an okay experience and not a great value. I don't think I'd come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out. read more

Overall great, then again I've tried some of the best spas like the ones at the Maldives with views and sounds of the ocean as you get your treatment. A lot of other spas the massage therapist will greet you after the treatment and bring tea and seat you to wind down for a bit. Here they guided us to the common area and told us about the teas. It's a small detail but just something I noticed. For the price it matches Disneyworld pricing but just nothing really above and beyond. I would note that they do a thing where you pick a colored stone before the treatment and that ends up matching an essential oil that they will use during the treatment read more

Just got back from a great massage from the Spa at the Grand Floridian. I haven't been here in a long time and the new lounge area and amenities are gorgeous! I checked in for my massage a half hour early and then spent time in the lounge. After donning a huge robe, I went to the whirlpool and steam room area and sat on the heated tile lounge chairs, using one of the ice cold eucalyptus towels on my face. Then I went in the main lounge area to wait. Wendy came and got me right in time. I had a fantastic 80 minute massage which lasted every minute and I didn't want it to end. Then, back in the lounge, I made myself a green tea and relaxed on the soft chairs with blankets in the quiet area. Finally, I got dressed and left to pay in the lobby. Interesting My wife and I show up early, she's escorted to the female side and I'm escorted to the men's side. I'm given a robe and shown the room where I'll be meeting my masseuse. There is fruit flavored water and a nut medley to snack on. Man... I jumped in that whirlpool like it was no bodys business, woo hoo! Splish Splish, I was takin' a whirlpool bath. Set that sucka to fun! After 15 minutes, I stretched out on a warm recliner and drifted into a comfortable peace. Just before my massage, I got up and went to the candle lit waiting room. I poured myself some fruity water, grabbed a bowl of mixed nuts and waited to be escorted to the couples massage room. It's been a week, I think her name was Megan? She came and escorted me to the massage room. I meet my wife and smile. I ask a question about the massage and ask will anything be on my face? I don't want any creams or hot towels. The masseuse says in a tone, no that would be a facial. Now I can feel my wife's energy and its off. My wife will be thinking for the next 60 minutes how to lock this woman in the steam room. Megan? Love her, she put oil on her forearm & elbow and massaged my neck. Sooo good! My massage was actually outer body, it was so relaxing. Just before our trip, I made sure to get a pedicure. Megan was massaging my feet, you can't have some gnarly feet when getting a massage? After massaging my feet, Megan put on some plastic booties and special creams to hydrate my feet. Very very nice. Final thoughts? When you're about to receive a massage, no one likes to hear a condescending tone before closing your eyes and trying to relax. We had an EXCELLENT spa experience. All of the staff was professional, the relaxation area is calm and soothing, and the services are great! I tried the Authentic Aromatherapy Massage, which was fabulous! All of the staff members use a choreographed technique hailing from the UK, which focuses on pressure points in the body, combining massage and reflexology. The entire experience was truly sublime and relaxing, and made for an excellent break from our tiring days walking around the parks. After your treatment you're presented with a menu for a complimentary beverage (alcoholic if desired) and a chocolate. There are also other snacks and beverages like infused water and tea if you prefer as well. This is a really posh spa and one of the nicest Disney resorts, but it's absolutely worth checking out if it's within your budget and you enjoy spa services. read more

This is a pre-COVID review. My sister and I took our mom here for her first manicure experience to celebrate her birthday (technically it was my first manicure too, but we were doing it to support my mom). We knew she would not enjoy a massage and that would be too much of an experience for her, so when we surprised her with the manicure she was excited. She was a little nervous to come to a spa, but Senses made her feel relaxed. We did not use the amenities much because it was very crowded in the lounge area. We were able to find seats and speak to some of the other ladies in the lounge room. It would be nice if the room was a little bigger or spaced out for more privacy because it feels awkward staring at strangers. When it was time for our manicures, it was really nice because the three of us were able to get our nails done at the same time. They can work on three people at a time so it was nice that all three of us could sit together. They shared that Senses was the only place where they were licensed to use certain Disney designs, which was nice because we definitely wanted to get a Mickey accent. Overall, Senses is a fun place to get Disney-fied nails. We didn't use a lot of the spa amenities so we will have to come back to try those. It is a nice experience that is relaxing and gets you away from the chaos of the parks. read more

When I met my nail tech Jen from Conway, SC she said that due to me being late she would only be able to paint my nails. Literally no lotion, no scrubbing no nothing. So I'm paying $60 + for a nail polish change. I didn't even need nail polish, I needed a scrub. I told her I rather not move forward and pay this for a nail polish change that I didn't need and her response was you would have to pay either way. My friend also booked the same package as me and got hot towel treatment, lotion etc. By the time I was done with mines she hadn't even started getting her nails painted. It's literally ridiculous how I was treated. I tried to ask for an upgrade and pay more if that would give me a more full package and that was a no, I tried trading service; I asked for a scrub instead of getting my nails painted because the scrub is what I really needed and that was a no too. I hope I'm not forced to leave a tip because she was very cold and does not deserve one. This is so ridiculous. The service was horrible especially for this being part of Disney. Im so disappointed. I came in for a leg and foot massage on my third day at WDW. I made the reservation months in advance, but unfortunately I got trapped on the Haunted Mansion right when I was supposed to be heading over to the spa. I called the main spa number to let them know, and they were not very sympathetic. The operator told me that being late simply ate into my appointment time. I then asked if it was possible to push back the appointment at all, and she said she would connect me with the Grand Floridian staff, but after being on hold for several minutes she hung up on me. When I arrived for my appointment the masseuse was ready so I went straight back. Indeed, I lost about 15 minutes of my 50 minute appointment which was really sad, and she rushed through the massage. I loved the foot scrub and the massage itself was lovely. Unfortunately, it turns out I'm allergic to something in the products she used, because within hours my lower legs had broken out in hives and a rash. It's been a week now and I'm still recovering. Overall, I felt that the customer service here didn't match up to the customer service I received elsewhere in WDW, and given the prices I'm not inclined to visit the Senses Spa again. read more

My husband and I both received spa services and both agree on our review. I received the pre-natal massage and he received an 80 min custom massage. Both massages were incredible! The technicians had enough pressure but it was still relaxing. Five stars for the massages! The reason for the 4 star review is for the amenities and space, which received a 3. The whirl pool is very small on both ladies and men's size, fitting only 5 ppl each. The lounge area is also small with too many chairs crammed in. The reclining chairs have to be pulled away from the wall to recline. The lounging room is also where everyone enters into the facility. So every 5-10 minutes someone is either entering, exiting or getting a tour- hence not quiet or relaxing. The beauty tools and supplies available to reset after your services are good. If you are an avid spa goer this will be an ok facility. If you are new to the experience it will be great. For being Disney World's "best" spa facility they have to up their game on the amenities. The Grand Floridian is my favorite resort at Disney and their spa is fabulous! It's serene and beautiful. They have a steam room and a whirl pool. You must wear a bathing suit in order to use the pool. You get a locker to place your personal belongings, and you are also provided with a bathrobe and slippers. You can enjoy tea, water, fruits, etc while you wait. I did a 80 minutes Swedish Massage and added foot reflexology while I was there...just because I didn't want to leave. My therapist was a very experienced girl. We conversed for a little while before the massage and she really loves her job. In conclusion, it's amazing! read more

For a fairly... recently opened spa, I'm a bit disappointed on how well kept the facilities are. The resort spa is nearby the convention center. You are welcomed in the lounge until you are directed to the locker area, but before then, they offer you some ice tea blend. As the spa is called Senses, they try to hit all five during your journey there. The spa is not co-ed. My husband and I scheduled to have a couples massage as our service. As a tradition at the Grand Floridian, they like to separate us, or so we were told. As walking into the women's area, the whole section felt a bit small to me, between the locker room area, resting area and spa area, it didn't feel as grand. The spa pool really only fits 1-2 people, even though the limit is 5. If 5 people actually sat in at the same time, we would definitely be touching each other, which does not sound relaxing. Plus the water feature that was next to it was rusted, and I didn't feel like they do a lot of upkeep. Even some of the grout in the spa was not so clean. The steam room was actually not bad, and worked as it should. They also had 2 lounge chairs, that were supposedly heated, but I didn't feel much of a difference. The lounge area offered some snacks, water and tea. The service itself was great, and they did give me a nice gift for my birthday, but I feel the other amenities is definitely lacking. Also, you are able to pay a daily fee of $25 to enjoy the spa/steam room if you do not want to do a service, but honestly I don't think its even worth it, You would only spend less than an hour tops... read more

My Dad treated my Stepmom and I to a massage while on our Disney vacation. This was our first time coming to Senses and it had it's ups and downs. As Disney Vacation Club members, we were given blue robes as opposed to the white ones non DVC members were using. Lockers were available for us to put our things in. My Stepmom was disappointed in the small steamroom and the small whirlpool. It was barely "whirling." We didn't take part in either of these. She said the Disney resort in Hawaii had an amazing rain shower and all of these other options that you could take part in before or after your massage. The thing that I didn't like was that the relaxation room had chairs directly across from each other so when you are supposed to be relaxing, there are other women on the opposite side of you just staring at you. It's pretty awkward. They had some delicious snacks available and I loved the spa water. There were two choices available, one with cucumber and one with orange. I got an 80 minute aromatherapy massage and my Stepmom got an 80 minute signature massage. My massage therapist Sonja was awesome. She checked in regularly to make sure the pressure, temperature, etc. were all to my liking. My Stepmom liked her massage therapist as well. The rooms were comfortable. Afterwards we were given a drink menu offering wine, champagne, etc. No one ever came to take our order. We waited honestly for an hour just chatting and relaxing. We finally saw someone and I asked if we could have our champagne. The girl asked if we were given menus. I told her we were but I didn't realize we had to hold them until placing our order. Then she carded me. It seemed like she didn't trust that I didn't already have champagne. It was really bizarre. The showers were nice. There are only two. They had lots of things available for use: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream, razors, toothbrushes, shower caps, etc. There were plenty of towels and they had hair driers, flat irons, etc. Overall, it was a nice experience. I just didn't appreciate what felt like an interrogating response when ordering champagne or the awkward seating arrangement before and after the massage. When visiting Disney World for my birthday, my sister and I wanted to treat ourselves, so we booked massages and pedicures. The waiting room with snacks and refreshments fills up fast. At times there was no place to sit! Being a Disney spa, I expected these kind of details to be taken care of. While I cannot remember the masseuse's name, Michelle did my pedicure and she was amazing! She was friendly, conversational, and hilarious. She really made my experience. I've been to two Senses Spas at Disney World -- Saratoga Springs and the Grand Floridian. I've had wonderful experiences every time. The staff goes out of their way to ensure comfort and relaxation. Even the demeanor of the staff is calming -- they smile and are positive, which helps me relax too. Each location was very clean and well-maintained. The therapists are very professional and respectful. I'll can't wait to go back! I recommend setting aside extra time to enjoy the relaxation lounge, whirlpool, heated lounges and steam room. read more

While the Grand Floridian is a fancier resort than Saratoga Springs, the Saratoga Springs Senses is much bigger and has better service than its more pretentious counterpart. We arrived just a few minutes before our appointments due to slow service on Disney Transportation, but early enough for us to get in and ready for our treatments. There was a cantankerous guest ahead of us though that was monopolizing the attention of the three staff members at the welcome desk and instead of one of them peeling off to help us, I had to snag someone else to get help. I can only speak for the men's side of things, but once in the lounge was tiny and uncomfortable. Saratoga Springs has a large room with reclining chairs, but the Grand Floridian's room at least for the men is cramped with only a handful of regular chairs. Having opted for the "For Men Only" package that included a massage, facial and pedicure, I'd rate the experience above average overall but inconsistent individually. The massage was slightly above average in that it was relaxing in the moment, but did not have a lasting effect throughout the day (or even next day) as a great massage will. The facial was awesome, very relaxing, making my skin feel great for the whole week and including an upper body and hand massage that was actually more effective than the whole body massage I had. The pedicure was perfunctory compared to the one I had at Saratoga Springs. The manicurist was friendly enough but somewhat robotic as she did the pedicure and the end result was okay but didn't make my feet feel great like a good pedicure would. The tops of my nails and cuticles were good, but the nails themselves could have been cut shorter, hardly any callus and dead skin was taken off my heels, and my foot and ankles muscles didn't feel relaxed as have after some treatments I've had. The inattentive front desk was at least consistent when I left as I asked for them to get my wife who had finished up before me and they never did. She came out on her own only after waiting a while and then coming to look for me. Since the waiting areas are not coed, we couldn't meet up in the lounge after our treatments like we could at Saratoga Springs or Aulani. While the experience wasn't horrible, it wasn't on par with other experiences we had at Disney spas. read more

At first this spa seems like it boasts outrageous prices, but after finally biting the bullet and checking it out one day last week, I am understand why. This spa goes far out of their way to make you comfortable. I got a manicure & it was one of the better manicures I've ever had. They also let you keep your polish to take home with you. When you're done with your service, you can stay until the facility closes relaxing in the lounge, eating snacks, using their steam room, or sitting in the hot tub. While my manicure only lasted an hour, my girlfriends and I stayed an extra three hours after our service was complete just lounging around in the facility. I will definitely be returning! read more

I just had the most amazing day at the Senses Grand Floridian Spa! I had the Grand Floridian Signature Spa Package which included a 90 minute Lavender massage and wrap combo, a 90 minute Lavender Facial, and a 90 minute pedicure. I reached utter relaxation during my 6 hours of bliss in this comfy little haven on the Disney property. Angela did my massage and she was great! She paid attention to so many details and the paraffin foot treatment and scalp massage while I was wrapped in a cocoon really put the icing on the cake. Alexandra did my facial and oh my goodness she was fantastic! My skin had the most amazing glow when she was finished and the paragon hand treatment and extensive scalp, neck, and back massage had me melting like butter. Lastly, Dana did my pedicure. This was the best pedicure I have ever had! She really paid attention to details that I feel no other nail tech has. The hot stones and paraffin really took it to the next level. I also like the little gift bag with my take home polish and product samples. Everything was amazing! I definitely recommend this package!! read more

Cancer must be contagious - at least one Disney cast member thinks so.... So I have focused my energy on giving my body the right to stay strong through positivity and use this safe as a place to vent.  Today I am mortified and furious.   As I have planned a gorgeous relaxing day at the spa with my husband, I had a 1 hour massage scheduled, facial and pedicure.  We are at the Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian and the therapist came to get me and took me to the room and I picked my fragrance.  She asked me if I had any sensitive areas and I explained I had a mastectomy and I am sensitive around my left arm area.  I also explained I was still undergoing treatment but have had massages during as they help minimize my soreness.  She looked at me horrified and said she needed to check with someone if she could do treatment on me.   I never said I was undergoing chemo but she proceeded to tell me that any of my medication could come through my pores.  She left me there for 10min and came back to say that she couldn't do a massage on me as that is their regulation and it was for my own safety (I think she was worried about her own safety given her concern about my pores) then said I needed a Dr note for her to give me a massage.  I proceeded to pick my chin off the ground and ask to see the policy and regulations as she took me back to the lounge.  She said to sit and she would be right back.  She brought another woman with her and escorted me to the hall to discuss the situation.  Kimberly who must be a manager explained that she has been dealing with cancer for 8 yrs and she was sorry and would support my massage treatment.  The woman stared at me as I asked her was she comfortable, her response "since you signed a waiver I am ok with it".   Again chin off the ground, I said "I am no longer comfortable with you".   I went to the lounge to wait for my facial and then exited to the bathroom where I sat in my robe on the ground sobbing.   I finally dusted myself off and went to the lounge where Kimberly found me to apologize and moved some things around to accommodate a longer facial and took care of the bill.  A few women in the lounge asked what was going on, as they admitted they were eavesdropping.  I explained and they came gave me a big hug and just said what I was thinking "some people are just uneducated about cancer".  The woman was not young because if she was I would have given her a pass as to not have had any experience with someone else - but at our age don't we all know anyone?  Or at least know how to be human?  Maybe I would have been the same?  Maybe not? What I am most pissed off about is that I walked all day yesterday (Apple Watch says 9.7miles) knowing today I was going to have a massage - darn it!!!!! read more

The senses spa is kind of small compared to what I had imagined. I got a Swedish massage for 80 minutes with an add on foot reflexology for extra 25 minutes. The price for it all was pretty expensive but it included the gratuities and tax. They have a small steam room and a spa "pool". The spa pool is really a small jacuzzi that is only allowed to fit at most 5 people. They do have robes, slippers, showers and everything you need, but bring your bathing suit if you plan on going into the jacuzzi. They do have a small snack bar composed of trail mix and tea selections and cucumber water. Overall, the massage was ok. I had higher expectations but it was ok. There have been places that I have gotten a $40.00 massage at that felt more relaxing and better than this one. But I had walked too much between all the disney parks that I just needed a massage. read more

The massage room was cold , they were unable to make it warm so I froze, I booked a 80 min and asked for deep tissue which they said they could provide, I arrived was booked for 50 min and told by the massage therapist, she could only go as deep as the spa allowed her too, was a okay massage, but as a massage therapist myself, I can give deep tissue and I have worked at a spa. The spa should have kept me warm during my massage, and the scheduling is very poor, even the massage therapist admitted they did a poor job,when they schedule clients, if it is true they can not give a deep tissue , which I do not believe, I should have found out before I arrived, and the time was not even correct. As for the hair and makeup , that was great. Great service , thumbs up for the hair and makeup ladies But really isn't the type of service I would want to provide anyone as a massage therapist, inspired me to never treat any of my clients in this way. read more

This package costs $462 with gratuity, which is automatically added to your bill. The Good Jacob the massage therapist is amazing. Deborah, who does facials, is also amazing. Facilities are beautiful and clean. The Bad 1. My facial only lasted 40 minutes. 2. My friend's pedicure only lasted 20 minutes. 3. My friend's bath was not drawn for her before she entered the room, and the tub overflowed because the faucet was stuck. Neither my friend nor her massage therapist could turn it off. Then, the massage therapist lied to her supervisors and told them that it was my friend who failed to turn off the faucet. (I can absolutely assure you that this was a lie.) The therapist let me friend relax in the bath for about five minutes while she sopped up all the water with towels. 4. My friend's massage therapist refused to use a deeper pressure (despite this being a custom pressure massage) when my friend requested it saying, "This isn't a deep tissue massage, more of a lighter pressure, all over massage." 5. I didn't even get my pedicure because the spa rescheduled my appointment without notifying me. I even showed them the email confirmation I received stating the correct time (3:30 PM). They claimed that my appointment was at 4:00 PM. But they didn't even come get me until 4:10 PM. I had to cancel the pedicure because we had dinner reservations, so they offered to do the pedicure really quickly. What? I was paying for a 50-minute serve. I don't want a short one. 6. As DVC members, my friend and I were told we would receive a complementary beverage during our spa day. The lounge attendant kept telling my friend over and over, "not until after your next service." Then the same woman gave me completely different information. (We DID get our drink.) 7. Spa agreed to charge me for just the massage and facial. When checking out, I noticed they charged me for an 80-minute massage, so I let the cast member know it was only a 50-minute massage. She smiled and said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I'll change that." She did not. She charged me for the 80-minute, which I didn't notice until I got back to my hotel room. The resolution? My friend got a $105 credit (reimbursed for the short pedicure) towards Disney resort room. And I got a $60 resort room credit, enough to cover the difference between the 80-minute massage and the 50-minute. Not enough, in my opinion. The whole experience was extremely stressful, and a cast member flat out lied about my friend. Disney definitely failed on this one. Beware your appointment here. read more

Love this place for spa services!! Luxury all the way! We were first greeted by Markie who was just outstanding! He checked in on us throughout our visit to make sure all was good and provided us with wine. ! This spa is awesome!! The robes are comfy and warm. The steam room really relaxes you by giving you mist of peppermint which really helps enhance your experience. I went with my sister and mom for a little us time away from the park. We got to recharge for the next next couple days activities. I had a tropical immersion message which was amazing.. Just had the most beautiful pedicure. I loved the attention to detail, the paraffin wax dip, the hot stone massage and the fact you get a goody bag with your nail polish as part of the experience. My therapist - Ashley- was very particular about hygiene and made me feel like a princess. I think I would come back to Orlando just for this! read more

Great small spas - not medical grade. Comfort "fluff you up." No gel nail polish available (I believe). Head to toe package is reasonable and lovely. Facial (they are discontinuing their vitamin infusion facials because they are medical versus Disney being more for comfort). $255 for facial, manicure & pedicure. Cheapest massage is $130ish. You can use their showed, whirlpool, steam room Etc (for clients). Offer you tea, snacks, water. You Receive a small gift bag with Nail polish and manicure/pedicure items they used. Many add on options - callouses $20, paraffin wax $35 etc. I would make it a regular thing to make an appointment here. Very attentive and friendly staff. Very welcoming. If you want the best massage you have to go and see Julie Midthun. I did a custom 90 minute massage after three days at Disney and she worked her magic. A mix of strong reflexology and stretching had me feeling like I was good as new. I wish the spa itself was bigger, for such a large resort it was small and full. It was well maintained and they offer a complimentary beverage after your service. I spent a bit of time relaxing in the hot tub but didn't take advantage of the steam room. read more

Decided to go to this spa on a $25 day pass before we headed to the airport after checking out of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and facility​ was clean. For this being located at a deluxe Disney resort, it was really small and not very luxurious. It had a small steam room, hot tub, and 2 heated relaxation chairs. I'd like to start off by saying that I paid for a Custom Massage. With that being said, I asked the masseuse to concentrate on my upper back and my shoulders - she did not. Also, I asked the masseuse if she could put a little more pressure into her strokes - she said 'ok' , but she did not. I was hoping, being that this was a 'Custom Massage', that at some point, she'd ask me if the pressure was good enough (at which time, I would have asked her again to put more pressure, as she was way too gentle and I didn't feel anything), but she did not. I ended up speaking with the manager who brought the price down and charged me for a simple massage rather than a 'Custom' , but I was still very disappointed as I was really looking forward to this! She explained to me that this was a 'relaxation spa' and not therapeutic.. then why do they offer custom massages or dwwp tissue massages? My experience was only so-so and here is why. I booked about 2 months in advance, reconfirmed it before going in, the gal at the desk confirmed again exactly what I was going to have and yet the guy who did the massage who had been there over 2 years I found out did the wrong procedure! I was expecting and was promised one of the speciality packages where a milk bath is concerned but only got an 80 min. massage! Now, the masseuse I had was awesome and very apologetic and I was given 25% off of the price I would have paid so I left feeling ok about it. But I did expect the correct package to be given so that drops my review down. Also, the steam room and hot tub were small and there were only 2 specialty chairs in the room.
