I was not prepared for this type of massage. My husband and I went in for a massage expecting to leave relaxed. The women were way too forceful, even after asking for less pressure, they'd reduced pressure for a few seconds and then go right back to what they wanted to do. At one point, the lady was standing on my back; this was not at all what I asked for. What was really interesting was at the end, I left a tip based on my husband and I both feeling very dissatisfied and they were like oh you have to leave more tip. Would never come back here and would not recommend. To the owners response on my review: it was a pretty awkward situation and not one I felt like I wanted to address with the person at your front desk. I am entitled to leave a review based on my experience. I am not required to advise any business owner directly of my experience prior to leaving a review. If I had let you know first, what would your remedy have been? A free massage? No thank you. I would not want that experience again. And no, your staff does not always ask before they walk in anyone because I can assure you I did not ask for it. I was laying facedown when I suddenly felt shoes on my back. Unfortunately, this is not a place that we will return. My husband and I did a couples deep tissue massage. The ladies were nice, but the massage was all over the place. There are bars across the ceiling so they can walk on your back. That would be fine if there was a rhyme or reason to it. While massaging, the ladies would start on one side and then seem to get distracted and never do the other side. We left feeling so lopsided! :-) When it came time to pay, we were encouraged to use cash. I said I was ok paying the credit card fees, but it was requested that I pay with Zelle or CashApp. My by own error, I opened Venmo instead. I entered the email address on the card in front of me and an account was found. Once I paid, the lady said that she did not have Venmo. It couldn't be her. It was a very specific and unique email. It was late and she was concerned, so I paid through Zelle as well and sent a message to the Venmo account that I had paid, asking for them to refund it. I continued to try and get a refund from that Venmo account for about two weeks. I finally messaged that I would be leaving a Google review about it and I would be opening a fraud case against them. Amazingly enough, the owner called me and left a message about the "confusion". He also apologized for a voicemail that he said he'd left where he was out of line. I never got that voicemail, but it makes me wonder who he did leave one for. All in all, this was very unprofessional. The ladies were nice and the facility seemed ok, but the service from start to finish was terrible. PS) I've seen that the owner likes to leave responses, telling the customers that they should have said something sooner or trying to put them in the wrong. My specialist was Lin and I loved the massage (full body + foot). I like strong/deep tissue and Lin delivered. How can The same company screw up this bad. I perfectly went out of the way to come here for one specific masseuse after so many mentions of her name on yelp. As the reviews mention Hong was the best most skilled masseuse there is and so I booked a massage with her and a gentleman on the phone confirm with me that she would be able to take me around 3 PM. When I walked in to the place, I asked for hog as that's who my booking was with she was there to greet me and she let me know she was not able to take me in. I was confused as that's who I wanted to in the first place. She said she was injured and could not work today wow really if you're injured and you can't work today why are you even there and why don't you just save me the time from coming here give me a phone call to let me know you can't make it or be there to massage me. Instead, she replaced me with another beginner masseuse who actually mentioned to me in the room it was her first day here but she has 10 years of experience yeah I don't think so. Her name is Sunny I should have left but unfortunately they convinced me not to as they said this girl was one of the best they have really I don't think so but anyways.. I was forced to stay and this girl started to walk on my back as if she was going to break all the bones in my body. Im Going to save you with the gory details and just let you know to not take her if you have the choice or you're reading this just don't waste your time I repeat avoid at all cost. As soon as it was done, I couldn't wait to leave I was in more pain than ever. I still have the pain I initially came in with but now it is 10 times worse and I even expressed myself to them but they didn't seem to care and acted as if they didn't understand what I was telling them or that they don't speak English. Fantastic deep tissue massage I had my knee replaced a year ago. Now my hip is trashed and I am getting it replaced in a few weeks. This has put my gait and alignment in terrible shape. He said come by and will have Lin work with you, she is really good and and knows how to get rid of terrible knots like I was encountering. MIRICLE! I went for one hour, Lin was beyond belief good! She adjusted my back and worked the knot out that was hurting along with a few others. She showed me how chinese foot message works and how it connects to the body. It was amazing and the results after three days after a month of real paid are miraculous. Wow! Can not compliment or recommend Spa Oasis and Lin enough.
