I absolutely LOVE my therapist Susan Guerrero. I've felt comfortable with her since day 1. She listens and gives amazing feedback. I'm so thankful I found her and would 100% recommend sensible care. This will be long so here is a quick summary: denied the right to medical privacy; pharmacies refuse to fill prescriptions from this clinic because of its reputation; attempted patient abandonment; and providers using fake names to avoid accountability. Read on for details. - They shared my private health information with others outside the clinic without my knowledge or consent, and stated to me that this is their standard practice. This was unacceptable, extremely distressing, and not what I agreed to when I initially signed up for their services. As of Oct 2023, SC has now updated its notice of privacy practices to officially declare that they can reveal your private health information (such as your diagnosis, medications, and other details) to people outside the clinic without your consent. Also that your information will be used for medical research purposes without your consent. It is further stated that patients do not have the right to insist on limits regarding the use or disclosure of their information and that the clinic "does not tolerate clients who make demands." - Various pharmacies refused to fill prescriptions from providers here because this clinic is considered "a red flag," to quote what several pharmacists told me. SC has a reputation as a "pill mill." I wasted a ton of time trying to find a pharmacy that would actually fill things from here; my time would have been better spent finding a reputable provider elsewhere. - I saw the provider known as "Yelaina," who uses this fake name (not her legal name, aka the one she is licensed under and prescribes from) to prevent people from looking up her licensing info and healthcare reviews. Just one more thing that makes this clinic questionable. Anyway, this provider attempted patient abandonment with me which is an incredibly stressful and triggering scenario to go through. SC's VP Katherine was made aware of the situation and chose to defend it, did not offer any solutions (not even offering to switch me to another doctor) and encouraged me to leave the clinic if I didn't like the fact that this provider tried to suddenly and unethically terminate my care. Sadly, I am far from the only one who has experienced attempted or actual patient abandonment at SC, which you will notice if you read through their reviews here and elsewhere. - In sum, SC's focus is solely on profit and they make that very clear through the way they treat patients. Best virtual psychiatric clinic. Quick, efficient, caring. I've been seeing a psychiatrist pretty much all my life, yet Cassandra Silver has to be the best one. Also, I just booked talk therapy and was able to make an appointment 3 days for now (no waiting for weeks and weeks). Tracy at genoa pharmacy where I get my medication from is awesome. I had just moved from NYC to Irvine, established a Primary care, and was looking for a specialty care in the Neuro-science / psychiatry TA area. This review is in regards to Melissa from the front desk. If I could give 10/5 rating I would. She was absolutely informative, very personable, and was able to identify times with the HCP's at Sensible care. It was very clear talking to her that Sensible care is very empathetic toward its existing and new patients, and with the growing demand they are ensuring patients are getting what is best for them. Doctor Chung is amazing! I was afraid to take medicine but he made me feel comfortable to start it and is helping me so much with my anxiety. I am glad I listen to him. He was also patient and kind in answering all my questions. The staff is also amazing! Especially Alex, I like speaking to her. She is very friendly and try to help you with questions you have or whatever you need from the doctor or therapist she will get back to you with the answer. I recommend this place. read more

Sensible care is unethical and will lie to no end. My wife trusted her therapist KIAH. It's very hard for her to open up and be vulnerable. She is new to therapy and she was proud of her progress. That was until her therapist got lazy and instead of speaking through issues started using power points of generic charts through a zoom appointment. KIAH told my wife she knew the 8 week commitment would be a challenge with her work schedule. KIAH said not to worry just cancel as soon as possible and I will make sure you are not charged a fee. Well her flight cancelled and she cancelled her apt immediately. Which was still hours before the actual zoom. KIAH quickly went back on her word and charged a $100 no show fee. There is the first lie. The second was when my wife took screenshots of her canceling the appointment in case a fee was shown. Not once was there a screen that showed a fee. The customer service at sensible care then tried to lie and say the IT department says it shows a fee. Photo evidence was provided to challenge that. This company did not care. KIAH did not care. She lied to my wife's face over $100. This is disgusting behavior. It's about the principle and dishonesty. Imagine the damage they could do. Don't go here. read more

If you're looking to get in to see a psychiatrist or therapist QUICKLY (0-2 weeks) they're great. The paperwork process is very simple and easy to access in their online portal. However, that's where the convenience ends; if you are looking for a competent receptionist who can efficiently and accurately relay information to you about your appointments, medications, insurance coverage, etc. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I requested to see a psychiatrist as a first-time patient of this practice at the end of September, the online portal offered me a video appointment Monday 10/3 at 5:00pm and I accepted it. Come 3:00pm on Monday I had received no email from the practice with a link to the video appointment, so I called the office and the receptionist confirmed all my information was in the system, but there was nothing on the schedule. I thought, weird must've been an issue with the portal, so I explain I need to see a psychiatrist and what I'm looking for along with my schedule and she offers me that Tuesday 10/4 at 5:00pm. I get the confirmation email and a text for the appt. On Tuesday, I start talking with the person my appointment was scheduled with and she stops me after 5 minutes and tells me there must be a mistake because she is a LMFT, not a psychiatrist. She lets me know my card will be refunded and they'll reach out to reschedule me. So I'm on the phone with the same receptionist and she gets me in to see Dr. Jou (who she confirms is a psychiatrist) on 10/15. My experience with Dr. Jou was.. not a good fit, so I call her back the following Monday and request to cancel my follow-up appointment on 10/29 with him and if there is another psychiatrist available I'd like to try with someone else and see if I'm more comfortable. She sets me up with a different doctor for 10/28, which I get confirmed again, and then today, Tuesday 10/27 I get a confirmation email about my follow-up appointment with Dr. Jou THAT I CANCELED. This receptionist also failed to inform me until AFTER TWO APPOINTMENTS with their practice that they do not take my insurance, when they have had my insurance information since my initial request one month ago. Then they under charged me for over $200 because this idiot told me it was the same price as a therapist at $40 per appointment. THEN I get a freaking text in addition to my wrong confirmation email saying they need to cancel my appointment on 10/27 and I need to see an NP instead. If I ask on several occasions to see a psychiatrist, it is because I want to see a damn PSYCHIATRIST. And they didn't even call me to tell me that, they freaking TEXTED ME little more than two days before my appointment. It would be one thing if it was just the first, second, or even third slip up, but the amount of incompetence is truly incredible. This is a practice whose purpose is mental health. Adding unnecessary stress or anxiety on top of the pursuit of getting help (which is daunting enough) is cruel and you should be in a different industry. read more

Cassandra Silver is a great psychiatrist. She's very empathetic and really listens and tries to connect. It's like you're speaking with a friend during appointments. After some trial and error with different meds, I'm feeling much better than I have in a long time. I highly recommend her. read more

I've been struggling with debilitating anxiety and depression. I've sought out many different mental health professionals and I have found none like Dr. Kevin Jou. Dr. Jou truly cares about his patients; when you walk in to his office, you're not just another patient, you're a unique individual whom he truly cares about. He not only spends the time to help prescribe medication and makes sure it works for you, he pours time and effort into talking to you, spending hours (over several appointments, mind you) trying to understand and better help you in your particular situation; these conversations, alone, have helped me vastly. One time, I even sent him an email far past business hours, into the late hours of the night with a question and he called me back almost immediately with a response. You just don't get that sort of response from someone who isn't sincerely invested in your well-being. Although, I should say that you shouldn't go into it expecting this as the norm. As for the office, it is nice and quiet, tucked away with some other buildings. The facilities are clean and the front desk staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and understanding. I had never been to a psychiatric health before my visit to OC Behavioral Health. So I'm not ashamed to admit I was extremely nervous at first, and very unsure of the process. But upon walking in, the receptionist made me feel very welcome. She was very kind and helpful, and had a great sense of humor. It seemed the other patients in the waiting room were fond of her too, and the light environment helped to ward off some of my nervous energy. Moving on to the Dr... I came to see Dr. Paul Chung; he is absolutely the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of visiting in my life. He was super kind and very mild-mannered. He seemed like he could tell I was pretty nervous and he was able to put me at ease basically immediately. I can't really describe why or how, but when you talk to him it just seems so... natural? He really pays attention to what you're saying and really seems to have a deep understanding of what you're going through. He was so helpful in helping me to sort out my thoughts and questions, and was able to address any concerns that I brought up to him. He was very knowledgeable about the topic and it inspired in me full confidence of everything he was saying. To sum up Dr. Paul Chung: supportive, constructive, kind. Definitely looking forward to many more visits to OC Behavioral Health, the receptionist, and Dr. Chung. read more

Isn't ageism against the law? Reached out for help with anxiety and got the email below. I guess if you are in your 60's you don't have a right to be heard from. This sounds they only want patients that they can look forward to soaking money from for years to come: Thank you for your interest in Sensible Care! We received your appointment request via our patient portal for a therapy evaluation with Diana Clark for 5/5 at 11:00am. However, we will be unable to schedule at this time, reason being that Diana does not see clients over the age of 65 - though right now your are of that age, come June, you would be ineligible to continue seeing her, and we wouldn't want you to feel comfortable with a new provider, only to have to discontinue seeing them. Right now, we don't have any other providers at Sensible Care that see clients over 65 and up, though this may change soon, and if that is the case we will definitely let you know. i would give my first born child to cassandra because she really helped navigate my mental health and find what was right for me. if my meds seemed to be harming my health she tapered me off them and switched over to something more suitable. she's super understanding and sweet of your situation & i didn't really like mental health providers, but she changed my perspective on them. read more

Thank you OC Behavioral Health, Dr. Hung and inviting and the friendly front office staff. I've been searching for a doctor that has background in teenage depression/anxiety. It's very difficult because most psychiatrist do not want to deal with the teenage brain. Most reviews I've read dismiss psychiatrists as pill pushers. This is not true of OC Behavioral Health. Dr. Hung spent a good amount of time with us answering our questions and assuring us of our decisions. Follow up appointments were never rushed and again, he spent time going over everything and every detail to make sure the prescription matched what we needed, never more, never less. my job reached out to me that I needed to work. i originally had the day off. When I reached out to sensible care to try to reschedule or push back my time. i was told that they would work with me and that they would be responding back to me to see if they could. I heard no response from them. Clearly a lack of follow up on whoever manages that office. Secondly, apparently they can follow up on my "show" despite me calling multiple times & texting. I asked for a one time fee waiver, which now I don't even believe an attempt was made. Nor any apology issued or an appointment rescheduled. They just keep reaching out to me about charging me. i paid the $100 and they even email me for a "formal discharge" and once again a POOR lack of follow up to their own policies. Noone issued a formal discharge. i am out a $100 and I received no help. I would never recommend this therapist or any body from Sensible care. Their values are centered around making money rather than understanding that life happens sometimes and being able to work with a client. I really would like a refund, but it doesn't convenience these people to. If anyone is looking for help, you certainly won't find it here. read more

Dr.Paul Chung is not only the BEST psychiatrist I have ever seen, but he is the BEST doctor in general. He was able to fit me in his schedule pretty quickly (same day). For some of you whom don't know, making an appt with a psychiatrist can take months. Dr.Chung, is able to see his patients through evisits, which makes it very easy and convenient. I recommend him to everyone and urge you to book your next appointment with him. I recently moved to Seattle and I am not having the best luck in local search. The receptionist Anna is phenomenal! She is always there for any questions you have, She will immediately put you at ease, she's very comforting (almost the vibe of seeing a lovely friend) which is extremely helpful when seeking mental help, enhances the comforting waiting room. The doctors are all lovely and kind (my sister ended up coming here as well and she's very fond of it)I had the luck of finding Dr. Paul Chung about two years ago.He is compassionate, attentive , and understanding. He truly cares about his patients and wants us to get better, if you are having mental health issues and are overwhelmed with all the docs out there I recommend coming here or just giving them a call.
