Their employees were knowledgable and efficient. The whole process took about two days, and boy did they work hard! The crew showed up at 7:00am and worked until 7:00pm the first day. My only criticism is that the crew showed up at 6:30 am the second day, before I even got out of bed -- and it was a bit jarring to wake up to people walking around on my roof. But that being said, the whole process was efficient and transparent, and I will DEFINITELY use them again next time I need a new roof!

After refutation, the invoice was revised to a lower number but still did not reflect the hours the technician worked. When hardware was available, I received a friendly e-mail for possible scheduling dates. Eric arrived right on time and got right to the job. He used drop clothes to protect floor and counters, cut away bath tiles to access old piping, ran new water feeds to a new, single handle control valve. Installed matching spout, drain, shower and matching decorative trim plate to cover the new control valve. At the end, Eric checked the valve scald setting to endure safety of the new water output. We were shown what he was doing as the project progressed, and he cleaned up all trash to our satisfaction at the end. Eric was here about 5 hours and was totally professional and friendly throughout. We are totally satisfied. Laamco has maintained our old HVAC system for decades, and recently installed a replacement system. They have installed a new water heater as well. We are completely satisfied with the technicians, plumbers and staff at Laamco. We highly recommend them for any heating, cooling or plumbing service or maintenance.

A great job performed by skilled craftsmen. Last week, Jennifer called to ask if it was OK for Don and Gary to come by this past Monday at 8AM to replace the siding. They arrived about 30 minutes early, and by 1 PM, the site was cleaned and cleared and they were gone. It was as though the windstorm had never happened. I cannot express how impressed I am with Robert, Jennifer and everyone I have met from Eyles. BTW, though I sent the Insurance adjuster's paperwork with my request, Robert sent a quote that was below the adjuster's estimate. I am so impressed by my experience with Eyles, that as soon as I receive and invoice, I drive to the office to pay it. I want to make sure that they are in business in the future if I need them.

As part of the process, we needed to make modifications to the second bedroom and bathroom to accommodate plumbing for the former attic. I was nervous about such a large project. Jeff assured me that the increase in the house value and home comfort would be well worth it. He was right. He and Lenny (who is a master craftsman) either did the work themselves, or hired the right subcontractors to complete the work not only IN budget, but ON time, and with amazing skill and consideration. That included needing to unexpectedly replace the front door, adding insulation to unexpected places, and shifting an existing heat source to the now-office. Lenny and Jeff worked with me to create a layout that worked well for us as well as economizing and maximizing project effectiveness. As problems arose (as they always will), they worked with me to solve them and move quickly to the next step. I initially gave them a chance because my neighbor across the street told me that they had done an excellent job on her basement. As time goes by, I will definitely be calling on these guys first. With so many "contractor horror stories"out there, I am really happy to honestly say that I trusted them with my house and I would recommend them without reservation to friends, family, coworkers or the guy down the street. Lets just say I'm not a fan of chasing my contractor to find out when they will or will not show up. Especially when it is weeks of non-communication and then I have to reach out to find out where the contractor is to be told they will show up and then weeks go by again and they don't. (2) Poor workmanship on quite a few items by his crew with no project management oversight to correct issues as they arose. Only showing up when things had to be fixed and taking his crews word that items were done and done well versus seeing for himself. Interior bedroom doors put in but door jams not properly flushed (my mom and I had to fix it ourselves), windows installed so improperly that the owner himself had to come out to fix what his crew messed up, and even something as simple as caulking a bathroom tub had to be redone by the owner as the crew couldn't handle even that. (3) Incomplete projects that were partially started and then never completed to the point where after numerous excuses and being ghosted for months, I finally had to cancel the contract with this company and hire another company at increased cost just to complete the projects that this company started and never finished. This included exterior windows, exterior siding and exterior door. Portions of these incomplete (door sils, window sils and exterior siding) items were open to the elements for months during the dead of winter. Some projects I had on contract never even got started from bathroom vent and barn door installation. Overall, I would NOT recommend this company. The owner is very nice and he has one really good worker he calls "bob the builder" but overall the rest of the team seems pretty inexperienced. I would rather have a contractor that is less personable but did the job, versus one that is nice but can't execute it. The owner while very nice does not communicate well and does not conduct good project oversight management or he would have been on top of his crew when they made major errors and provided subpar workmanship.

First class job at a very fair price…read more Bottom line...I highly recommend Georgoulis Roofing and Construction. Our experience with them could not have been any better. I wasn't looking forward to finding a new contractor, especially since there seems to be so many small roofing companies out there. We used a roofer on our old house years ago and we would not use them again. We also knew of a roofer that our neighbor used, but he ended up over-estimating the roof size, which resulted in much higher costs for materials and labor. I don't think he really wanted the job. I saw great reviews for Georgoulis on multiple web sites, and I preferred to deal with a local company. Since I relied on those reviews, I wanted to share our experience for the benefit of others. Al Greene (Director of Field Operations) was great to work with. He was always extremely responsive, replying to all of our emails in a very timely manner (almost always within 24 hours or less). We looked at both Certainteed and GAF shingles, and decided on Certainteed Landmark (Pewterwood color). Moises, Christian and the rest of the roofing crew did a great job. Our house is 2500 sq ft...2 stories plus a side family room and the roof has a fairly good grade (roofers had to use safety ropes). They said the existing 1-layer roof would be stripped and replaced in two days, and it was. There were seven workers the first day and they worked a 12 hour day. There were three workers the second day and they worked 10 hours. They moved along at a really good pace. They placed blue tarps to protect the shrubs, walkway and deck. They then placed larger black tarps from the roof edge to the ground to protect the house itself. The crew also used several large magnets to search for nails all around the grounds and the lawn when done. There were only a few minor follow-up issues that required fixing - nothing unexpected for such a dirty job. A few asphalt marks on the siding and aluminum flashing from the shingle debris. There were also a couple of pieces of white aluminium flashing that had to be bent during installation in order to get the shingles all of the way in. This was completely understandable. Since we had a prior problem with bats in one of those areas, we asked them to restore the flashing to its original snug fit. They took care of everything right away. We also had three window screens that were damaged by shingle debris on the second day (minor scraps from the new roof; large black house tarps are only up during roof removal on day 1; had to be removed from the roof edge in order to install the new roof). I offered to take the screens to be repaired and Georgoulis reimbursed us. In hindsight, I wish I had taken the screens out. Kevin and Billy installed 10 sets of new vinyl shutters as well as a rain diverter over the front steps. They also addressed some of the clean-up issues. We covered the items in our attic since we knew there would be lots of granules going through the ridge vent during removal. We also took down anything hanging on the walls that might fall due to vibrations (mirrors, framed pictures, etc). Turns out we probably didn't need to do that, but better safe than sorry. We've already had a few good rain storms and there are no leaks or issues with the new roof. The builder had used inferior shingles when they built the house. We had a couple of leaks and had shingles blow off several times over the years due to the wind (due to lack of tar adhesive on the shingles). We now know that we have a solid, high quality roof. Everyone involved was great from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more. It really exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Georgoulis to family and friends and would definitely use them again for any job.

We were quoted an estimate of $1,500-$2,500 over the phone. Imagine our surprise when the final invoice came in over $3,500. For two hours of on-site work with little water removed and equipment that didn't function properly (one dehumidifier showed a flooding error), the value just wasn't there. When we called to get clarity over the weekend--crickets. No callback. But someone did show up promptly to pick up the equipment and, charmingly, asked for a 5-star review before showing us the actual invoice. To their credit, they later applied a 10% discount after I complained, but that only softened the blow slightly. Bottom line: if you use Servpro, ask for a detailed written estimate first, and brace yourself for charges that might surprise you. Transparency matters, especially during emergencies. But Servpro water removal service is not worth the money.
