Rogers Insulation was the company selected by Mass Save following a home energy report. Our experience was mixed, with the office and some of the workers really seeming top notch. The negative we had was the project leader for the day of work seemed to have cut corners in several places. It started with not all of the work being done that was on the invoice. The office believed me and sent out a worker to check and they validated the work was not done that was in the invoice. When Mass Save came to inspect the work, they also found the light covers were not installed correctly. All and all, it required 4 visits to complete the work for a variety of reasons. read more

Rogers Insulation had stellar reviews, so we selected them to add insulation to our attic through MassSave. When the work was completed, our Building Inspector flagged the work for an insufficient amount of blown-in insulation. Months passed. When Rogers came back for the re-do, they didn't bring enough tubing to reach the attic opening, so they had to go back to Framingham to get more. This despite the fact that the company had already done work here previously, and should have known how much tubing was needed. In the end, the job was done correctly, per the Building Inspector, but the process required more of my time and attention than it should have, with appointments and phone calls. Also without the Building Inspection, we would not have know that insufficient insulation had been installed. read more

During our cleaning and house prep, my wife experienced breathing problems (she has asthma). After email communication and several discussions, we all decided not to proceed with the full insulation. The owners John and Carol, and their staff, were very understanding. We appreciated their concern for my wife's health and worked with us on an alternate plan to safely insulate and air seal the basement. They completed the work on time, carefully, and for a fair price. Recently I had two great men come to add insulation to the walls and ceiling of my breezeway. I was kept informed of the arrival time even when they were able to come earlier than planned. The workers, wish I had gotten their names, were friendly, polite and easy to talk to. They laid down plastic to protect the areas and explained how they could add additional insulation under each of the two windows. When they were finished, they cleaned up really well and left everything neat and clean. This was the second time I hired this company and they continue to do an awesome job! Thanks so much. Have been working through some mass save program energy saving home improvements and vetted several insulation companies that serviced my area. I confidently chose Rogers Insulation Specialists based on their reviews and communication leading up to the work I recently had done (wall insulation from interior), and I was very pleased with the entire process. Donny, Nick and Logan were a great crew. They were friendly, professional, respectful, VERY clean, and showed up at the scheduled time both days. Additionally, they ran any questions they had by me first rather than making assumptions, which I appreciated. Since the work I recently had done, I have been in communication with the owners, Rick and John, on guidance for what to do about my hot attic containing HVAC equipment; they've been very helpful. As a result, I have plans to hire them back to do my attic insulation and ventilation (both also included in mass save incentives program) once some other renovation work is completed to avoid complicating either job. We had a masssaves energy audit and, after obtaining a number of estimates, contracted with Rogers Insulation to perform the work. They were incredibly easy to communicate with. The installers were meticulous in keeping our house clean as they worked in the attic, and all work was accepted by the post installation inspection. The billing department provided detailed receipts for rebate submission. Everyone I worked or spoke with was professional and pleasant. We are extremely pleased with the insulation job from start to finish. The insulation made a dramatic improvement in our comfort and energy costs. During the project, the workers went above and beyond to accommodate us. They did their best to work around our family's needs, like children's nap schedules. They explained the plan for each day at the beginning, and updated us on their progress and plans at the end of each day. They were tidy, efficient, and hardworking, and they finished exactly on schedule. When there was a problem - the insulation didn't fit behind our built-in drawers - they found a way to get the insulation in and preserve the drawers, without charging us more. Our two-year old enjoyed watching them work from a safe distance, which entailed "Mr. Mike" making a lot of holes that he later plastered over. He made quite the impression. Rogers Insulation was recommended to us by a friend who also used them as a contractor for Mass-Save work. We delayed our April appointment due to Covid, but continued in September. They were very professional and safe with Covid restrictions (wearing double masks anytime they had to enter living spaces, and trying to keep that to a minimum). Larry, our foreman, was great. They were efficient and did good work. We had forgotten about a hole in our flooring (he had specifically asked if we had any radiators, and we don't - but forgot there was an old radiator hole unplugged!) and some insulation was blown into the house. When we discovered it, after they were gone for the day, Larry very nicely came back to clean it up! We will definitely be recommending them on! read more

I hired Rogers Insulation Specialists to insulate a large home- attic and basement sealing as well as additional insulation in the attic. Rick provided a detailed list of what will be done and how much it will cost as well as a starting date. Mike (the foreman) and his crew showed up right on time every day and made sure the job was done to the highest standard and completed on time. Atos' building skills (enclosures, roof venting and other one-off custom fits) are something to be seen- check the photo of the whole house fan (4x4 feet) enclosure he built. Overall I am very happy with the results and quality of work. And speaking of results- it only has been couple days, but my heating equipment usage data shows about 1/3 reduction of heating oil usage when normalized to heating degree days. The house also has gotten much quieter on the second floor. To sum it up- I am a fairly picky customer when it comes to my home and hold vendors to a very high standard. We had a bit of complicated MassSave project and I found Rogers' through a local community group bc many people were happy w/them in our area. Sure enough, from the leader (John Taglienti) who came to assess the MassSave recommendations and tweak it based on what he saw, his actual experience and expertise, to the actual insulating work (Bret and Atos), I was very pleased. Bret (former roofer) even found leaks in our roof which we managed to address (even though it delayed their finishing of the project). I was really grateful to have this company's expertise, care of my home like their own, not to mention very easy scheduling, paperwork, etc. by their office (Carol and Holly). read more

Rogers Insulation came recommended to us from a friend, and we could not have been more pleased with their work. They showed up on time and were very respectful of not getting the interior of our house dirty as they were checking vents, as well as making sure that the shingles were not damaged or destroyed as they were working. They took the time to explain what they were doing, and gave suggestions on things we could do to ensure more efficient heating. They also consulted on one room in our house, which is hot in the summer/cold in the winter--and gave us helpful tips on what to tackle first to combat the problem. Did a great job! Showed up on time and finished the job when they said it would be done. MassSave overestimated the square footage of the insulation needed, and along with some other places that were already insulated, they lowered the amount we paid by over $1500! I ended up paying less than what MassSave kicked in! Some companies could have pocketed the difference and lied about what they actually did. Refreshing to see an honest contractor. Will definitely request them again next year to do more insulation work in the attic after the MassSave discount renews. read more

Contacted this company for improving my attic insulation. A home inspector falsely stated that the attic was poorly insulated. Richard, the dad came by for an estimate. He looked into the attic to see if the building inspectors assessment was correct. Richard patiently explained the appropriate MA building codes, typical insulation installation procedure and physics of heat transfer. He confirmed that the house has superior insulation and there was no need to add any additional insulation. A typical business may have gone along with the home inspectors recommendation to get additional insulation installed. Rare to find stand up people and businesses these days. I was told by Mass Save that I needed insulation in my garage ceiling. When the men came to do the job they told me I already had enough insulation and putting in more would cause damage. I was totally impressed by their honesty and integrity because they could have put holes in the ceiling and blew in some insulation and I would have never known the difference. They also put a cap above my pull down attic stairs and I already feel the difference. It's no longer chilly in that part of the hallway. They also insulated all around my doors and what a huge difference it makes. It's no longer cold around the doors and there are no breezes and cold air coming in on cold days. They really did a wonderful job and I would recommend them highly. The guys were on time, friendly and professional, explaining what they were doing all along the way.
