FACFAS, Podiatry Institute of Southern California, located at 9808 Venice Blvd., Suite 600, Culver City, CA 90232 is a glib comedian who practices medicine below the standard of care required to be licensed in California. Nejat opined that my toenail fungus was caused by wearing shoes too small, thereby causing my toenail to be lifted up and allowing the fungus into the nail bed. Okay, so let's say, arguendo, that this is true. So then why didn't Dr. Nejat measure my shoe size? Instead of acting professional and measuring my foot size, he glibly stated that my big toe should be one thumb-width from the tip of my shoe. Huh? SkinRX Compounding Pharmacy Santa Monica Tavaborole 5% Topical Solution Prescription Fraud This quack went on to state that he would send in my prescription for Tavaborole 5% Topical Solution to SkinRX Compounding Pharmacy, 2222 Santa Monica Blvd., Suite 103, Santa Monica, CA 90404. Dr. Nejat said that my insurance would not cover this medication and that SkinRX would apply coupons and discounts so that I only have to pay $60.00 because the medication is so expensive. My big mistake was not insisting that Nejat the Numbskull simply send my prescription next door to my regular pharmacy, Brotman Medical Pharmacy. to prevent me from getting ripped off by this medical grifter. I should have exercised the caveat of let the buyer beware, but I trusted the man because he is supposed to be a doctor, not a con artist. I will not be attending my follow-up appointment with Dr. Albert Nejat, Grifting Podiatrist. Dear Dr. Nejat, for the foregoing reasons, I will not be attending my follow-up appointment with you on July 21, 2026. Once my weekly mileage increased, the old injury started showing up during runs. Around mile three or four I would feel a sharp pulling pain along the outside of my ankle that wrapped into my heel. After longer runs my ankle would swell and feel stiff. Walking downstairs felt unstable and I caught myself limping a few times. I had to cut a couple runs short because my stride felt off. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this provider…read more I first saw him in January 2026 after my medial foot pain, which I had been dealing with for nearly two years, flared up again. I had a total of five appointments between January and May and every visit felt extremely rushed. I felt like I had only a minute or two to explain my symptoms because there were so many patients scheduled before, during and after me. At my first appointment, I was prescribed a compounded topical cream that cost $85 through a boutique pharmacy and wasn't covered by insurance. Throughout my treatment, the provider repeatedly recommended stem cell/PRP injections, which cost thousands of dollars and also aren't covered by insurance, despite never performing a thorough hands-on examination of my foot. During one visit, he had a student shadowing him and asked her opinion on my diagnosis before either of them had physically examined my foot. After an MRI showed a chronic ATFL sprain, the provider began discussing surgery for this, which is on the lateral (outside) of the foot, even though my pain and issues had always been on the medial (inside) of my foot. Because I was desperate for relief, I agreed to try custom orthotics but they were designed to address the ATFL findings rather than my ongoing medial pain and suspected flatfoot/posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. They provided no relief. This final appointment to pick up the orthotics was my breaking point. Once again, stem cell/PRP injections were recommended and as the provider had one foot out the door, he said "You'll be okay, Mommy and Daddy can pay for it." I was shocked. As a young woman who fully supports herself and had already spent roughly $700 at this practice, in addition to thousands of dollars seeking answers elsewhere, I found the comment incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful and dismissive. After this experience, I sought a second opinion from an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon. He performed a comprehensive evaluation and confirmed that my pain was coming from the medial side of my foot due to ligament tear, validating the concerns I had expressed all along. I recently had the procedure done to repair the ligament and am very happy with the care I received elsewhere. Based on my experience, I absolutely do not recommend this provider. The bedside manner and ego of this provider was horrible. I felt rushed, unheard and repeatedly steered toward expensive treatments that were not covered by insurance, while the actual source of my pain went unaddressed.

Dr. Brody's is located in the new Culver Medical Plaza in Culver City, office space is nice clean, and the front desk staff are wonderful. During my consultation Dr. Brody was very thorough with his explanation of the procedure; even drawing out a diagram for visibility and answered all my questions/concerns. He does not do both feet at the same time, so do not go in with this expectation that you can have it this way, you will need one foot to help you get around to do the most basic functions, why any would want to have both feet in a CAM boot at the same time for 6-8 weeks is unimaginable to me, so this was not an issue for me and speaks to how Dr. Brody has your best intentions at hand. For the amount of money, I was investing in this procedure, I was prepared to follow all the required post-surgery directions for the best results, so I moved forward with the procedure. I had my first bunionectomy on the right foot in March 2022 and second bunionectomy on the left foot in November 2022, depending on your recovering you can schedule the second one sooner, this was based on my recovery plan and not wanting to be in a boot in the summer and completing my physical therapy sessions to be strong enough to hold my weight on the post- surgery foot in preparation for the second surgery. A year later for both procedures and I am beyond happy with the results of having my feet in a normal position and pain free, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to have performed this surgery for me. Once I completely recovered, I also invested in custom orthotics that Dr. Brody fitted me for, this have been a game changer in helping with my alignment and stability as I work to undo years of a bad walking form. I recommend Dr. Brody for all of your podiatry needs!
