In all seriousness there is a rotating selection of Asian vegetables, they are seasonal and fresh. There are a lot of spices and condiments that I am sure are typical in daily Nepalese cooking. I ordered the sashimi special, 18 pieces of chefs choice sashimi, and a seaweed salad. The second I tried the seaweed salad I knew I had come to the right place! It was cool and refreshing with a great texture and salty flavor. The sashimi was beautiful and made with care. The fish was cold and fresh with distinct flavors. It was high quality and a good value. I wish I lived closer so I could come regularly!

While it's not an especially clean store, I don't feel unsafe buying their produce or packaged items, as I would at A Dong. They carry a very wide variety of asian groceries that would otherwise be very hard to find, particularly a lot of exotic and tropical produce and herbs that I enjoy. Perhaps the only place yet that my friend and I have been able to find Shiso herb, which we like to put in homemade sushi. However, most of the labels are in Vietnamese only, and the people working there are usually not super helpful for non-Vietnamese-speakers, mostly because of the understandable language barrier, so you might need to google what the Vietnamese word is for something you need and have a keen eye. Great selection of things that are generally rare in West Michigan, great prices, and not a horrific roach cesspool like their competitor across the street. Not to mention the name is pretty rich lololol.

The Hangul written above it gave it away as a Korean market (or at least Korean-owned), so I stopped by to have a look-see. It's a tiny mom-pop shop with crowded shelves full of product (and a leaky roof). The owners were friendly and helped me find ingredients to make a Korean dish, and the wife went so far as to offer her daughter's phone number in case I ran into trouble making the dish...lol Out of all the different Asian shops I've visited, this is the only one that didn't have a strong and/or unpleasant odor to it as soon as you walk in the door. I've only recently started exploring Korean cuisine, so I have no idea if their stock is varied enough or specialized enough for what you need, but it's certainly worth your time to visit if you're looking around.

By KFC, we're talking about Korean Fried Chicken, not what you get from the Colonel in a bucket. Flavors are off the chart and portions are generous, albeit a little pricy (as to be expected with a 'specialty food item'). The staff is friendly while the service is generally pretty quick. Would recommend - we've been back multiple times (and fully expect to come back again).
