Bao buns, ramen, shrimp tempura udon

A great spot with so many options across different Asian cuisines. And they all seem to have been done so well. I had the udon that was so perfectly chewy with a wonderful flavorful broth. The shrimp tempura was crispy and pretty good size. The Bao buns were soft and fresh, and pretty big sized! I also got the ube latte with boba, which had great flavor, but the boba was little chunks, rather than the balls I'm used to and they didn't go through the straw very well and didn't have the same texture as I was expecting and hoping for. Still good, but not my absolute favorite. The staff was also very friendly, the space is decorated so fun like you're in a street market, and I like that while you're in line, you can browse one of the shelves from the market. Overall, great spot, great food, great people, great execution.

Visited Pacific Rim for the first time. I went in specifically for boba tea because I haven't tried it before. The store is very spacious and upon walking in, I walked straight back to "Cravings Deli." I was greeted by 2 employees who were SO nice and welcoming! My anxiety for being a first time customer was gone. I ended up getting what one of them recommended and I literally chugged it LOL. It was so so good! Also - the wait time for my tea was less than 3 minutes. All of the workers were friendly and eager to help! There are also tables and an area to sit and work - or chat and drink your boba tea with friends. I cannot wait to go back and just walk around the store with my boba tea!

Absolutely incredible. If you like Asian food, this place is a must. All sorts of rices, sauces, fruits, veggies, drinks, RAMEN for days, and more. Pacific Rim Food is a dream, whether you are hungry now or excited to go home and cook something up yourself. Also, the Cravings cafe is super cute!

This place was awesome! If we hadn't already eaten lunch, I would have loved to try some of the food they were cooking! I was able to find a few great things that I've had a hard time finding in Battle Creek, like my favorite sweet soy sauce and certain types of ramen (they have a ton). Big selection of snacks and candy and all sorts of grocery items, frozen foods, fresh baked goods. I tried a caramel crunch dessert and a berry cake that were both fantastic. They have so many great things here!

This place never miss. The BBQ banh mi was tasty and I loved how they put the fresh toppings on the side. The Kalbi was absolutely delicious. The kimchi was tasty as well. Can't wait to try the other menu items.

Pacific Rim is a unique spot in Kalamazoo. You can come in for a meal or you can find quality groceries to prepare your own. But you know you really want to do both. I have had the Ramen, Spicy Beef Pho, a Korean Style rib, and pot stickers. The food is always full flavored, hot, and comforting. It doesn't feel as though you are eating in a grocery story. The eating area is large enough that it feels more like a little café. There is even a little structure that looks like a building with a window which give the space character. On the grocery side I have seen some outstanding food: large shrimp with the heads on, giant clams the size of your fist, and fresh fish. They have the least expensive tofu in town, a selection of quality produce and herbs, and a good refrigerated and freezer section. Ever since I came here, I have been making all sorts of Asian soups: Ramen, Pho, Miso, and a few I just make on the fly with Asian flavors. I love experimenting with the range of seaweeds and dried mushrooms they have available. They also have an assortment of dishes and cookware that have explored to had to my cabinets and draws. The staff here are nice and really knowledgeable about the products in the store. I asked one what I need to make hot and sour soup and he pointed out all the various ingredients with ease and told me how to use them. I have even talked with owner as she walks around helping people and checking in with how the prepared food is. If you have any inclination to eat or cook Asian food, you should get to know the people and produces at this store.

You can buy a beer from the case...they mark it paid and you can sit in Cravings and consume it.

Second visit. This place is clean..service is enthisiastically friendly. They had pandemic precautions down. Excellent selection of asian produce, funky snacks, sauces and ingredients. Cravings deli is inside the store...which is what keeps bringing us back. The home made kim chi they have is to die for. I buy 2 containers to take home when I come here. I love this place so much.

Excited to eat in the castle!

Not great. Was given wrong food item and asked for something different. I was then given a staunch no. Very dissatisfying.

Ramen was the best option here and their rangoons with a bubble tea can never go wrong.

Xin is an excellent cook and you should check out a cooking class sometime at the Oakland community center.

I've driven by this store many times and FINALLY stopped in. What was I waiting for?!…read more THIS STORE IS AMAZING! First, and foremost, the staff was so kind, patient, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. I don't think I've had anyone help me in-store EVER as this lady did. She was a great problem-solver (I love dried mango flavor in things, but am a TOTAL zero flames so even if chili is the last ingredient, it's too spicy for me. OPE.). My curry-making problem is now solved. THANK YOU! Second, this small store is like a TARDIS or Mary Poppins' bag. Each aisle is packed to the brim with treasures. We were in somewhat of a hurry, but honestly I could spend quite a while there (and know that if I have questions, I will learn solutions). There is a LONG wall of freezer things that looked enticing - our daughter got a box of 22 (!!) frozen samosas, which she loves. There is fresh produce in back, more refrigerated things, shelves and shelves of deliciousness, and my very favorite, a WHOLE section of spices and spice mix. There were many things unfamiliar to me, which I can't wait to try. The beans and rice selection is quite thorough. The prices are excellent. HOW did I not go here before? Hope you enjoy it, too. You can find them on fb; there is no other website. APNA is housed in a large blue building, shared with another store. Note: The only way to turn in is from N Avenue. Ask me how I know. There is no entrance on 9th street!
