When Seoul Taco opened, I was happy to hear Korean flavors would make their way to the streets of Columbia! In fact, their opening was so anticipated by me that I took it upon myself to learn how to make kimchi. My favorite dish? The gogi bowl! It's a little spicy, but that's what limes are for. Honestly, a friend of mine said bad things about this place but I decided to try it anyway. Did not regret! I imagine it's usually busier, but when I stopped by the place was empty almost. I absolutely love this place. I would've posted a picture of my glorious Spicy Pork Nachos but I was too busy devouring it. If you like the tacos, then you should definitely try this. I was in between them and had not had the nachos yet. I feel like I was able to get more food for the money with the nachos. I got it to go and I recommend getting all toppings separate. I also had them put some of their wasabi sauce and their orange sauce in there. It is a must. I ordered the nachos. I got them with the Bulgogi but spicy pork is also an option. I added a fried egg for $1 extra. The nachos come with your choice of meat, a generous portion of kimchee, a cup of queso, and corn tortilla chips. It was a generous portion, but not surprising as I would expect a decent portion for $8.00 + extras at a place like this. The overall dynamic of the nachos wasn't quite right but the taste was really good. I just think that a pile of beef and kimchee sticks together quite strongly in the center of the chips, which doesn't aid in the dipping process. The chips were crisp and tasted fresh, the bulgogi was tender and sweet as it should be, and the kimchee did not taste like the kind that comes in a plastic tub (but what do I know? and not to knock that stuff it's delicious). All in all, I'll definitely order from here again. Know what you're coming for, this is definitely a hard fusion. Anyone coming for Mexican food or Korean food will probably leave disappointed. Two of us tried this place for a late lunch. Neither of us had been here before. Since we did not know what to order as the menu is limited and different we asked the person at the counter who was very helpful. We ordered a taco, quesadilla, and a burrito. All of the food was very fresh, seemed to be prepared well, but....it all was a little on the sweet side. The fried rice was a little bland for my taste but some hot sauce zipped it up. We went there at 8:00 pm on a Saturday. I wanted chips and queso and they were out of queso and then I asked for salsa and they did not have salsa either. I got a bag of bland chips for $2.19. Then, my friend ordered nachos (keep in mind they were out of cheese) and they gave her a box of chips with soggy veggies, sour cream, and some mystery meat. We ventured into Seoul Taco a few weeks ago looking for some new exciting food choices! Walking in, the space is very modern with industrialized decor: lots of brick, wood, and metal. The menu offers four choices for your entree: Taco, Quesadilla, Burrito, or Gogi Bowl. I opted for the Gogi Bowl with Tofu (Your choice of protein and rice served with fresh veggies, fried egg, carrots, green onion, sesame oil, and spicy Gochujang pepper sauce). The veggies, rice, and sauce were delicious. The Gochujang sauce is spicy and really makes this dish a bowl of scrumptious goodness. I wasn't a big fan of the tofu, but all in all the Gogi Bowl was pretty interesting and filling. Every time I'm in Columbia, this place is a must have! Steak nachos are just the best. The kimchi is tasty. The atmosphere is fun. The food is fast and fresh. The bathrooms are gender neutral and alerts very clean. There aren't any changing tables but it's so clean that it doesn't bother me to just lay the changing pad on the ground and change the baby like that. I've also always felt very comfortable just nursing my baby right there in the dining room. It's a friendly upbeat place with good music always playing and you'll feel right at home while eating the tasty food. Would recommend to anybody in the area. read more

I'm a huge fan of the new Seoul Taco. It was right down the street from my apartment so I was a frequent visitor. The scents draw you in more than anything else. Combined with their fellow resident Strange Donuts, it's a match made in foodie heaven. I love the Gogi Bowl. It's the right amount of spice and flavor that you don't even realize you're eating lettuce. Holy Mexirean cuisine! I think I've found a new love (sorry suitors)! Finally made it in or some tacos- man, I really love me some tacos -and am very pleased I did! The very sweet checkout girl suggested I try a couple different meats to see what I liked (that didn't take much convincing). I went with the spicy pork and bulgogi- both very well done and at a very palatable $2.50 each. The tacos were full of flavorful meat, cooked just right, served with an orange sauce and a half wedge of lime (next time, I'll forego) the lime as it doesn't necessarily complement the tastes of the meats I had). Fast and delicious. Lots of fresh veggies on everything. The tacos are small and cheap so that you can try several kinds in one sitting. Be sure to ask for non-spicy if you want it since the default is pretty spicy. The Gogi bowl was a giant bibimbap. The second time I had the burrito, which I ordered with chicken, but I received with bulgogi (beef). Let's start here. There is no burrito comparable to a Seoul Taco burrito. Perfection wrapped. If you're not gracing your mouth with a spicy pork, kimchi concoction, you're not living your best life and you might have to reevaluate. My friend and I have one, small complaint about the entire operation. Sometimes our burritos are noticeable different sizes which can lead to some anger fueled tussles. Seoul Taco has been one of my favorite places to eat since coming to Columbia, but not after my latest experience. A group and girls and I decided to eat here after our track workout around 9pm last night. We went in, ordered, and waited for our food. Everyone in our group got their food except me and one other girl, which was weird because we had ordered first. We also watched 5 other people in the restaurant get their food too. After about 20 minutes of waiting I decided to go fill my water cup up with gatorade because I just needed some calories after a hard workout. As I was walking back, a man named "Clayton" started yelling at me from across the restaurant. He was really rude about it and told me that it was stealing and made me dump it out. I wasn't upset about waiting 20 minutes for the food! I work at a restaurant too, I understand delays! I just needed some calories because I was feeling really shaky. Clayton or none of the guys offered us anything for the delay on our food which was fine, we brushed it off and continued to eat our meal. The food was great, but after about 15 minutes of eating the other employee came out and yelled at us. He said: "You guys need to knock that shit off. I can see you on the cameras running back and forth to the fountains." We hadn't gotten up from our seats since I got the Gatorade. We were in complete shock that this guy had just yelled and cussed at us for no reason. After that we were all pretty upset and decided to leave. Seoul Taco is a fast food fusion of Korean and Mexican food. The main courses are delicious and you cannot go wrong any of them. All of these entrees are good size and will fill you up. Their sides in theory all sound delicious but mine ended up being subpar. I went with the Kimchi rice and the rice must have been sitting for a long time before it got served. Also, just a warning, the water cups are small. So if you are a spice fan, be prepared to fill it frequently. This to me compares to chipotle in the fact that it is quick, filling, and a delicious ingredients. Give it a try. read more
