The people here are so incredibly pushy and rude. We went in just to browse (which always ends up as a purchase) and the lady grabbed a brush out of my hand when I was trying a color...it was clearly in the sample bin, but apparently not to her because she was doing her makeup and needed it?? It was just strange.... Go to the one at Stonebriar mall in Frisco, they are BY FAR the nicest. They will help you out without being pushy. This location has a great selection of products and a nice, friendly staff willing to help you pick out shades or show you new items. I tend to frequent this Sephora, not only because it's the closest one to me, but because they carry brands such as LORAC, Smashbox and Laura Mercier. Oddly, other larger storefronts don't stock these and it's a hassle to return/exchange anything bearing these brand names. read more

I'm sold mainly on the area and shopping possibilities that surrounds this Sephora. Lots of new places for me and the Hubbs to try out over here! The store itself is really nice inside! It was pretty busy. I was greeted and directed to the area I was looking for. They did not carry what I was initially looking for but I asked what other recommends the sales associate had. She walked me over to another brand and explained the difference in the two types of illuminator I asked her about. I proceeded to check out. I had never been to the store so I waited in line behind a customer checking out all to find out it wasn't the line, so more of an obvious set up would be helpful because there were 4 registers, only 2 at the time I was checking out and then I noticed two more came around when I looked up after getting a spot in line. I didn't wait long and when I completed my purchase I asked about products for this skin discoloration I've had that is small in size but dark enough to want to cover. The associate checking me out showed me exactly where to look and the difference between two products. I ended up getting it, I really hope it works better than what I was using. read more

I mainly love Sephora. Some of their stuff is overpriced, but that's to be expected. I wish they carried more of a natural selection but you can look through their computers on the wall to see what does and doesn't have parabens- which is SO AWESOME. I understand the whole "let me help you!" thing but damn, dude. I feel sorry for the people that work there. If I had to be that chipper all day I think I'd need to scream into some serious pillowage after work every day. But I mean, it's helpful I guess. I absolutely love shopping and just walking around Sephora! But this place- the sales ladies are ridiculous! They are like vultures, following you around, constantly asking if they can help you with something. I don't mind the hospitality, but it was like a game! Every minute a lady would walk up and ask if she could help! They would start laughing because the knew, I was just asked on the aisle before! I was livid! I was looking at perfume and there was 3 ladies and the make-up station. Each one took an opportunity asking if they could help me with something, knowing very well I was just asked! You heard the coworker ask! Was aggravating and rude. I walked over to skin care, and the same woman in the make-up trifecta, followed me over and asked me again if she could help. Not enough staff at all and very unhelpful..long waits and i just wasted my time here. Was told i could exchange my foundation for one that was out of stock i just had to get it mailed instead. I wait in line, give all my info. And they then tell me i cnt use store credit. 20mins have now gone by..then im told id have to wait about 20mins if i wanted to be color matched for something else! Wow so basically im just supposed to keep waiting for something that was not my fault at all!! And did the staff care? No! Walked out of this snooty place and will not be back. read more

The single star is for customer service only. I returned a purchase that I bought using my debit card-I wanted my refund in cash because a debit refund can take a couple of days. While at the Sephora in JCPenney the associate told me that I could get a cash refund at the Watters Creek location (where I made the purchase)...when I explained all of this to the associate at Watters Creek she replied that "JCP Sephora is not a real Sephora and they don't know what they are talking about"...I told her that their sign reads "Sephora"??? The manager was called, she agreed with the associate replying that JCP Sephora "flat out lied to you"...long story short, I left with my cash refund but was amazed by the lack of professionalism of the Watters Creek associates. read more

I went in for two different reasons, my skin recently has become very dry. And I needed to pick out a new cologne for my boyfriend for his Christmas present. Cameron greeted me once I walked in and really listened to my concerns. He picked out a few foundations for me in different colors, since I am very fair skinned it was hard to tell which would be a direct match. He gave me multiple samples, and was so friendly and talkative while helping me out. Then he helped me pick out a good cologne for my boyfriend based on what I told him I'd want in a fragrance. So when you shop there I HIGHLY recommend asking for Cameron! He is the sweetest ever. I loved him! read more

This stores employees are rude and unhelpful. Every single time I've gone into this particular Sephora I find the same thing. They gather in the middle near the registers and talk to each other about who knows what? They never offer to help, and more times than not they don't put your point card number in what you've purchased. I spent over $100.00 and the girl threw in one small sample. If you order online you get to choose various samples. I won't go to this store again, ever. read more

I love makeup and no doubt, Sephora is like being in a candy store. But years ago, I made the decision to shop for and only use beauty products that are cruelty-free. Saying "cruelty-free" doesn't just mean they don't put lipstick on the animals or something. "Finished product not tested on animals" = BS. True cruelty-free should mean the company doesn't test on animals, none of its ingredients are tested on animals, and that they use no other companies or are owned by other companies that conduct testing. Most people wouldn't love some of these brands so much if they knew the horror some of these poor creatures are put through to make them. And there are many brands out there that are truly cruelty-free - but some of what you are told about who is or not can be misleading. Some cruelty-free brands: Josie Maran, Too Faced, Kat Von D, Duwop, Butter London, Zoya, Pacifica, Lush, Colourpop, Lorac, Pur Minerals, Trish McEvoy, Paul Mitchell, E.L.F., Wet N' Wild and more. The last two I listed are at the drug store for much cheaper. Some companies are labeled "cruelty-free" because no testing is involved in making their products, but are owned by parent companies who do test: NYX, Urban Decay (owned by Loreal), Bare Minerals, Nars (Shisedo owns them), Philosophy (owned by Coty) Burt's Bees (owned by Clorox) are some examples. Companies who sell in mainland China, so they test on animals: Mac, Smashbox, Mary Kay, Revlon, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Avon - Disappointing, greedy and vile. Also, watch out for anything made by Johnson & Johnson and Unilever. Very poor ethics when it comes to animal testing. Those are just a few brands I can list. Those can change, as companies do. Always research the most current lists out there. Google and the interwebs are your friends. Also - there's an important distinction between selling in mainland China vs. Hong Kong. Companies like Lush sell in Hong Kong, where testing is not required. But you know who else's products are tested on animals? The SEPHORA brand. I specifically asked this question of an employee and was told they don't, but a little research (that I'd wished I'd just done before) told me they "only test where required by law." This means YES THEY DO. Since it's so important for them to sell in China and make $$ over being humane and all. What is especially wrong with this is consumers trying to do the right thing are misled or more likely, just misinformed by employees who aren't aware of this fact themselves. This review is posted about this particular location, as this is where my question was wrongly answered. Where else this happens is anyone's guess. So be aware. Sephora stores do carry many brands that are cruelty-free, (and I stress it's important to do your research)- but don't let anyone tell you the actual Sephora brand doesn't test on animals. They do. It's the same deal with Ulta brands. Only there when I asked, the employee at least responded that she didn't know. I just hate being told something that isn't true. read more

This location is not as big as the one at Northpark and does not offer all the brands you can find at Northpark such as Illamasqua and MAC. They do have Urban Decay, Tokidoki, Tarte, Make Up Forever and others. They also have a large selection of skin care products, makeup brushes, and fragrances. Personally I found the service at Northpark to be better as well. I like that they have everything out in the open and you can sample and swatch til your hearts desire. Unlike Ulta, Sephora does not sell low end or drugstore brands. They sell many of the brands you find at a cosmetics counter with out the hard sells of such places. If you know what you want, or you simply want to browse, Sephora is a good choice. It's quite easy to walk in, drop two hundred bucks and walk out with a tiny bag. read more

I absolutely love Sephora. This is my favorite store in the whole world and I've been to many of them throughout the states. This location in particular has the same products as everywhere else of course however some of the associates that work there are not too friendly and come off as full of themselves. I've been into this store countless times. I almost felt as if they went out of their way to not talk to me which is odd because I know Sephora is big on customer service. Also, one night I went in there and overheard one of the associates/possible manager making fun of my Mother. Real classy! I'm a very patient person and it takes a lot for me to feel uncomfortable. I had a two good experiences with a couple people. She was very sweet and nice which means she was probably new and he was awesome too. Overall,this location sucks. Every other one I've gone to every was very nice and helpful, but here it's a different story. If you don't know exactly what you're looking for, the employees will follow you around the store because they assume you're shoplifting. Its happened twice now, and it made both me and my friend super uncomfortable. However, there was one time there was a really sweet employee working who helped me shade match my foundation. I can't remember her name but she greeted me, asked if I needed help with anything and had a conversation with me while I was getting shade matched. There's nothing wrong with this Sephora except for its staff. On my way out none of them looked at my face to say goodbye. I've never seen this kind of disrespect. Per the advise of a few Yelp ladies I decided to visit Sephora for make up 101 ( I am a make up illiterate). Emelio was great, listened to the looked I wanted and recommended what was needed. First colors did not match, the third color as he applied it said ' wow this is beautiful' when I opened my eyes could not believe the difference! Received lots of compliments thanks to him. Love this Sephora location. The ladies here are very nice and there is usually someone greeting clients. They always carry the products I use regularly and there is always someone willing to help with any questions I may have. I love how they usually ask me if there are any samples I would like to take with me. Sephora is one of my favorite stores and I appreciate all of the benefits they offer their clients and their rewards program. I used to have an office at the Galleria, so would go to that location often. First time I've been to this location, although I have been to many other places in Watters Creek. When we walked in associate named Sydney asked us if we were looking for anything particular, when I asked her about 2 brands, both times she said, "oh that is a pharmacy brand!" Lol I mean why not say yes or no. So, I do not know if your associates are trained to say such but it was odd. You never know who you are talking to. My family used to own a cosmetics store actually. We were trying perfumes & she said to some other ladies, "oh my gosh so MANY people are over here! I am sorry!!" We were not sure what her deal was. Now Kim, super nice, sold me some lipstick from Smashbox seemed very knowledgeable on products. I also like Bobbi Brown as well. I would keep snarky associates in the stock room, away from customers. We bought perfume & lipstick. She did say enjoy your purchases when we left. Not a good first impression, I probably won't be back to this location. You would think the snobby store would be at the Galleria not in Allen. We had a good laugh. It reminded us of Pretty Woman scene, big mistake, huge mistake lol. read more

This store is a great one-stop makeup shop for all your higher end beauty needs. The staff at the makeup counter are very helpful, and the variety is great. The last time I was in, a beautician helped me find exactly what I needed, and used the color matcher technology to find the product in my exact shade, I have been very happy with the product she chose for me. In general, the products here are pricey, but better quality than the drugstore products. The Sephora brand lipstick isn't as great as I thought it would be, but their brand of eye shadow, blush, and primer have been great. I will continue shopping here for a long time. read more
