The customer service was absolutely terrible! Just because I was wearing "ragedy clothes" (yes the two employees said that right in front of me), they refused to offer service to me and I was trying to find Rare Beauty Blush for 95 minutes. Asked for help atleast 10 times and never got it. They claimed to be helping a "V.I.P customer" which is absurd! Never going back to this one. EVER read more

This particular location is the worst. No customer service whatsoever! This was my second time in this store. I decided I would give it another chance. The first time was the same as today. I walked around looking for a product for about 10 minutes. No one offered to help. There was a customer waiting to be checked out, and she was looking around for help. I then decided I would wait until she she was checked out to then ask for help. We both waited and no help. As I was walking out, the employee asked the lady if she needed something. Yeah, she needs to be checked out! Isn't that what you're here for! read more

I came into the store with a friend to shop. I am a make up artist so I spend lots of time in Sephora. I was walking around when I overheard and saw the manager point at me and say that I was stealing to another co-worker. This was very disappointing and not the first time that this has happened to me inside of a Sephora in Kohl's. I work at the Ulta next door and I have customers regularly coming in for products that are exclusively sold at Sephora, and I will continue to share my story with them and recommend that they go to a different location. read more

Once asking for help, the person asked for the name and said they didn't see it. Literally, had to ask them to check another way. Gave them the barcode (that I had just gotten off the Ulta website) for my order. They then said they had put it back. Found it strange since it gave me the pickup barcode literally while in the store. Afterwards, noticed that it showed as "cancelled". But, that did not happen until after going into the store to get it. So, they must not have updated the system that they had put it back until AFTER went in for pickup. Had it said cancelled, I wouldn't have bothered. Also, had 3 family members go into this same Ulta months ago. They had their hands loaded with items (and not cheap ones). They were looking at a display right by the counter. Suddenly, one of the three people standing behind the counter doing nothing (which was the same as when I went in) says "We are closed". They never went on the intercom to saying closing in 15,10, nor 5 minutes. The family members apologized and put there stuff on the counter to checkout. The person said "you are going to have to come back tomorrow". It was unbelievable. And, one of the family members even works at an Ulta in a different state. She said she'd never imagined such brazen rudeness. Ulta lost out on a big sell. Because two of the family members were leaving to go back to their homes in other states. Unless they get better workers, or get the others to pretend they are not rude jerks, this Ulta will not survive. I will take my business to the one in Cumming. It's a farther drive but at least they have helpful workers who actually work!

Nevertheless, she did see us but did not speak until the detector alarm at the door went off. Mind you we were already several paces through the door and detector when it went off which made me think that someone set off the detector after they realized two black ladies had entered the store. The greeter then proceeds to greet us in a very loud and obnoxious tone asking us if we were here to buy something. I said yes, that's why we're here. Then she asked if there was something in particular I was looking for and again, I said yes, I'm looking for Estée Lauder. She pointed to where the section was on the wall and I proceeded to the area, found what I came to purchase and went to the register. The girl at the register was not at all friendly. We paid and left but that detector did not go off as we left because I believe they are using it to alert staff when black people enter the store. Ulta do better! To customers, go to Sephora or if you must shop at Ulta try to order it or do curbside if they offer it. It's not a good feeling to feel profiled when you go somewhere to spend your money. Just know I won't be back to Ulta at any location!

A family emergency came up and I wanted to weigh my options, so I called to ask about their rescheduling/cancellation policy-- to no avail. I then resorted to texting to ask them and I typed out a clear and concise message that indicated that I was inquiring only and didn't intend on changing my appointment at that given time. The message read: Hii! I wanted to know that if I wanted to reschedule, would there be any penalty/issues? I don't know if I need to yet, just weighing my options. Alexis, the owner, told me there was no penalty and that I can reschedule online if need be. After speaking to the airlines to change my flight to extend my stay (for the emergency, my grandfather passed), I decided to try to simply reschedule my appointment for a later date. After having issues booking online, I decided to call back because the same thing happened with booking my initial appointment. And Alexis manually went into their system to change it, and thought that perhaps she could assist me again. Instead, she texted me an incredibly RUDE and insensitive text, following another that said that she cancelled my appointment although I never asked for her to do so. There was no apology, no customer recovery, nothing. Attached you will see the text messages, please read them. And please do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, because you will not get it from them. I really wanted to support a Black owned business, but there are others in the city that deserve the money that you'd spend here. UPDATE: Per the business owner's response (Alexis), she has made it even more apparent that her overall inadequacy and inability to thoroughly read, be honest, and even manage her books properly is alarmingly unprofessional. In the response (below), she claims that they "went out of their way to accommodate me past business hours," which is a prime example of her fragrant dishonesty. I simply asked her for whatever time that was available for my booking. I never asked for a time. Alexis took it upon HERSELF to book me at 6pm and not 6:30pm, as she claims. Please see below for proof of my statements via Alexis and I's text message conversation. In addition, I did call at least 4 times to try to be considerate, so I wouldn't cancel my booking. As I mentioned in my initial review, I had just received news of my grandpa's passing and had to change my flight to attend the funeral. When I messaged her (see texts below), I apologized for the calls and notified her of my family emergency-- which she chooses to ignore-- and even settled to come in for the appointment still because I didn't want to throw off their schedule. With the passing of my grandpa, I simply wasn't thinking of if the business was closed or not, and just wanted to get in contact with someone who could possibly give me information on rescheduling, if I decided to. Also, since when is calling a business when they're "not open" an inconvenience? If their contact number was solely their business number, someone calling during the daytime closed or not, isn't bizarre-- logically. Simply put, this all stemmed from a very prideful, egotistical business owner that refuses to own up to her mistakes and apologize for cancelling my appointment, when I only contacted her to get information on their rescheduling/cancellation policy. I believe that she may have trouble properly reading. During our entire exchange via text message, I was so kind to her. Never gave a rude or snappy response. So I'm unsure why she deemed that I wasn't a "good fit for their business." I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau on this matter.
