Customer service is awful at this store. You have to practically beg them to wait on you. Went to get a pickup order and was ignored while at counter. Once asking for help, the person asked for the name and said they didn't see it. Literally, had to ask them to check another way. Gave them the barcode (that I had just gotten off the Ulta website) for my order. They then said they had put it back. Found it strange since it gave me the pickup barcode literally while in the store. Afterwards, noticed that it showed as "cancelled". But, that did not happen until after going into the store to get it. So, they must not have updated the system that they had put it back until AFTER went in for pickup. Had it said cancelled, I wouldn't have bothered. Also, had 3 family members go into this same Ulta months ago. They had their hands loaded with items (and not cheap ones). They were looking at a display right by the counter. Suddenly, one of the three people standing behind the counter doing nothing (which was the same as when I went in) says "We are closed". They never went on the intercom to saying closing in 15,10, nor 5 minutes. The family members apologized and put there stuff on the counter to checkout. The person said "you are going to have to come back tomorrow". It was unbelievable. And, one of the family members even works at an Ulta in a different state. She said she'd never imagined such brazen rudeness. Ulta lost out on a big sell. Because two of the family members were leaving to go back to their homes in other states. Unless they get better workers, or get the others to pretend they are not rude jerks, this Ulta will not survive. I will take my business to the one in Cumming. It's a farther drive but at least they have helpful workers who actually work! read more

I visited this location off McGinnis Ferry yesterday with my daughter. We entered the store which was not busy at all and was not greeted by the person who was standing near the door as she was having a conversation with the person at the cash register. Nevertheless, she did see us but did not speak until the detector alarm at the door went off. Mind you we were already several paces through the door and detector when it went off which made me think that someone set off the detector after they realized two black ladies had entered the store. The greeter then proceeds to greet us in a very loud and obnoxious tone asking us if we were here to buy something. I said yes, that's why we're here. Then she asked if there was something in particular I was looking for and again, I said yes, I'm looking for Estée Lauder. She pointed to where the section was on the wall and I proceeded to the area, found what I came to purchase and went to the register. The girl at the register was not at all friendly. We paid and left but that detector did not go off as we left because I believe they are using it to alert staff when black people enter the store. Ulta do better! To customers, go to Sephora or if you must shop at Ulta try to order it or do curbside if they offer it. It's not a good feeling to feel profiled when you go somewhere to spend your money. It seems like ULTA hires the same type of staff at every location. I walked in and there was no greeting and no sales associate offered any assistance while I was looking around. The item I really came for was unavailable so I ended up just grabbing a small item and went to the checkout. I also came to pick up my free birthday gift. I had the app open so when the assoc asked for my phone number I showed my member ID and barcode (I don't like announcing my phone number in public if unnecessary) the same way I always do. She reacted like scanning my member ID from the ULTA app was not an option. After begrudgingly using the app she then asked to see my driver's license to confirm it was me!!! I've never experienced this before at any ULTA. Another reason I will stick with Sephora. read more

My first visit to this location was nothing short of amazing! I was only dropping in to pick up an online order I made the day before. Unfortunately the location closest to my residence did not carry the products I needed for in-store pickup. The Johns Creek location was the next closest location that fortunately did. As I'm entering the store, I'm stop by Vincent who is the general store manager. He politely introduced himself and said he needed a favor from me. I said " sure, what is it"?.. Vincent advised it would make his day if I played the raffle but here's the thing, no one had yet one the grand prize drawing and they were down to a few raffles. In my mind I'm already thinking I'm not going to win as I do not always have the best of luck. To add, my morning sort of started off shitty but hey why not give it a shot and press my luck. Who knows the outcome and maybe this could put some sunlight in my somewhat of an off day. As I closed my big anxious eyes, reached down into the box I started to shuffle the raffles. I picked one and started to lift my hand out the box but my gut told me it just didn't feel right so I instantly dropped it and went for a different pick. As I sloooooowly take this raffle out the box and flip it over, heart racing - WALLAH!... I WON! I WON!... I ended up being the stores lucky $100 grand prize winner! Totally unexpected, shocked, however, grateful and much appreciated! Vincent asked to take a photo to post for the store and him & his team congratulated me. My quick drop in ended up being almost an hour of fun retail therapy. Woohoo!! The level of customer service was beyond exceptional! I believe every associate on the floor approached me to offer assistance which was very much appreciated. The cleanliness and organization of the store was top notch. As does all ULTA stores, it smelled so refreshing and crisp. All registers were occupied with associates to ensure a smooth, yet fast & efficient check-out process for customers. This location sits in a shopping plaza so there's plenty of parking in front of and surrounding the store. I will definitely make my way back to the John's Creek location. This UIlta location is brand new, so everything looks fabulous. All testers are fresh and all perfumes are full. So nice to try all the great products. I went for a 30 minute facial. My esthetician was Rayann. She had a very nice touch, and explained the products she was using without giving me the high pressure sales pitch (which I hate). When she was finished, my skin looked soooo good, I was amazed. My husband even said how great it looked, he couldn't believe it was an all natural look with no makeup. I went to ulta with a few friends looking for makeup for homecoming and hair products. We're teenagers, so the employees were tailing us the whole time which wasn't too surprising just a little uncomfortable. However, when it was my turn to check out an employee with short blue hair charged me $20 extra and added two random items to my bag. I was confused and asked what they were and she shoved the bag towards me. I took them out and questioned them and she said to me, "I'm giving you extras, you don't want them?" (She said this like they were free extras but they were very small items and added a lot to my order). I told her I did not want them and she removed 1 cent from my order...then continued to tell me to pay leaving the extra $20 on the order. I was uncomfortable but I asked her what the extra price was for. She got angry at me and said something rude to me about not just paying for the extras while reaching over me to cancel the order then replace it with my original order which was around $40. I was very unsettled and started crying as soon as I got out of the store. My friend noted the whole situation as very rude as well. I wish employees would not take advantage of customers because they are young and they don't think they'll notice it. One employee was very kind to me and my friends before that though and I'm happy that she at least treated us with kindness. read more

Do not get your hair done here. The stylist I had turned my hair orange when I had asked and even though my senior pictures were in two days, the salon would not get me in, leaving me to have to spend three hundred dollars for color correcting and the highlights I had to come to Ulta to get anyway at another place. When I expressed my concerns to the stylist when I was leaving, she insisted on me getting a purple hair mask to make the orange go away. Another 30$ down the drain-- it didn't work. When I explained the situation to Ulta, after I had tried the mask, they said that they would give me a call the next day about my "refund." They did not call me so instead when I called them again, after I had already gotten my hair redone, they explained that they would only give me a 30% refund meaning I wasted another 100$ dollars. About 430$ wasted, DO NOT go here. read more

The guy that works here was such an amazing help! We appreciate it so much in helping us find what we needed. I did not appreciate the woman with black hair and she may have been manager, following us around to ensure we weren't stealing anything and staring us down. She followed my mom around the store and she stood at the door until we walked out. Another Caucasian blonde woman also followed us at the store as well. We do not appreciate being watched because we work just as hard as the next person and actually spent our own money at the store. My mom is a veteran and works a full time job so she does not appreciate being followed and neither do I. We will NOT be patronizing this store again. read more

This is probably the best Ulta I have gone to. The staff was wearing masks. They have a Kiehl's section which I have never seen at my local Ulta. They were stocked up on many products and the store was not busy during the time I went (2:40pm on Saturday, 9/5). Elizabeth at the register was super friendly and offered to help me find products I was looking for. I would recommend this Ulta to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe shopping experience during this pandemic. read more

Legit worst customer service ever!! I've worked at SEPHORA for years and know what EXCELLENT customer service is supposed to like. Manager gave me complete attitude because I walked in right before they were gonna close to pick up something that I called in for. Get up the register, they don't have the product and tell me to go "look for it". Did NOT offer to go grab it. Bring my products back up to the register and I get complete ATTITUDE from the cashier because the manager said something to her. God forbid you have to do your job. read more
