I will start off by saying that I haven't been to the Lenox or Northpoint locations so I have no earthly idea as to how they are. The largest Sephora I have ever seen was in Vegas, and I just thought that was just excessive. Anyway, I came mainly to pick up some Bliss products (big fan!!) as well as my free birthday gift (yayyyy!!). I picked up what I came in for, but as usual I tend to look around and end up buying more than I planned, which is fine.... a girl can never have too much makeup!! One of their associates saw me perusing and asked if I needed assistance to which I said I did... I wanted to mix it up a bit and do some smoky eye look, but I kinda didn't know how to do this. The associate, Raysa, immediately asked me what I usually use and came up with suggestions that would compliment my skin tone. She then went to town and started giving me a make over while giving me step by step directions on the proper application... and let me tell ya, she knew her stuff and really made my eyes look just awesome. I absolutely loved it!! I ended picking up some brushes and the eyeshadow set she used to make my look work. Worst. Experience. Ever. I had time to kill between lunch and a doctors appointment last week, so I stopped in to purchase mascara, mascara primer, and eye makeup primer. Unfortunately I couldn't get anyone to help me. I was able to find the mascara I was looking for but not the eye makeup primer. When I found someone to ask, I got a very rude "we don't carry that brand" and she walked off. Next time I decide to spend $65 on mascara and mascara primer, it won't be here. read more

I would give this location a NEGATIVE MINUS STARS!!! I went in just to buy some primer and leave. Well Well now!!! that did not happen. Why? There were 13 people in line including myself all looking around as if they could not decide to run or stay. The black cashier was loud and talking with the customer she was servicing for over 10 mins as if the line was empty. She then yelled out that they were from the same home town and that she was excited (Who gives a shyt, we are on our lunch breaks or ready to go). I eventually get to the counter and the frantic blonde lady answers the phone and leaves me standing there for 10 mins. I begin to grab my stuff to leave and the black lady says " we will get with you in a moment". Okay, She ten calls the person behind me to her register? Did I miss something? If I am at the counter, why not ring me up??? STupid customer service. Blondie is on the phone with a potential employee and is saying things that are not cool out loud. From the conversation, the black lady is going to train the person on the phone to do Mature skin and makeup because she is near 50yrs old. The black lady yells out something regarding her age so that everyone can hear. I guess she wanted validation that she did not look her age, well she did!!! I don't like this Sephora. I remember when they used to be on the 2nd level and now there's on the lower level with their own entrance oooh how special. The service is really bad. You can't get anyone to help you except when you get to the check out line which is usually long and to make a return, they give an attitude which is unlike Sephora. Out of the 2000 items i buy from you guys i cant bring back ONE? Chill TF out. Also, the makeup stations are either bare or messy even though the location is new(er). Im not exactly sure what they're doing since they're not helping clients? Surprisingly, I would rather go to Lenox Square Mall Sephora than this! They're busier but at least they actually have clean stations and i can grab a smiling face to help me out. I had such a great experience here tonight. I'm not confident in the makeup category and short on time as a toddler mama, but I obviously don't want to look homely everyday. My usual routine is a few swipes of mascara and brow gel and a bit of eyeshadow and blush on fancy days, but I've been less than impressed by my usual mascara choice lately. I'm SO glad I ran out of mascara this morning and ended up near this Sephora today! Adrian must've seen me looking like I didn't know what I was doing and asked if I needed help. Adrian guided me to a few different mascara choices and detailed the differences in each one and what result each one would give me. I ended up going with Adrian's pick, and I'm so glad I did! I tried my new mascara on tonight and love it so much. Adrian was super helpful and took time to see what I was really after, which I was so grateful for. The whole staff was kind and welcoming. Bringing my curious and outgoing toddler into a store with lots of shiny and small things can be incredibly stressful, but it wasn't tonight, which made all the difference for this mama. read more

If I could give this Sephora 0 stars I would. I went to the Perimeter Mall Sephora today looking for guidance on my Smashbox contouring pallet and assistance selecting a foundation. The associate told me where to put the contour (and touched my face with her hands), but was not able to show me how (brushes etc or which part of the pallet where). She did not even walk me to a mirror to show me for clarification. Furthermore, she went on to tell me that "I just lack confidence doing contouring" and that I needed to "watch Youtube videos." She also told me I needed to make an appointment to get assistance with it that it was not her job. When I asked her if she could help me find a foundation shade she asked over her walkie for someone to assist me, but then told me it was going to take 20 minutes to get someone to help me after two sales associates came over to discuss it with her (when there were four ladies on the floor total). I was already discouraged before entering the store, because I had purchased this product on Sephora.com and needed an expert's opinion because I was having difficulty on my own. I left the store feeling even more discouraged that no one wanted to help me. I have never felt more unappreciated as a customer than I have today. The sad thing for Sephora is is if they would have been willing to help me and not acted so annoyed with me I would have purchased a ton of products. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I love Sephora... like in kind of an unhealthy obsession type of way. It is my guilty pleasure... I'm not going to tell you how much I spend a year there, mostly because I'm not sure even I am ready to come to terms with that yet. But trust... it's a lot! I love all the different lines they have, and that you can test basically anything! They usually are more than happy to give samples, and have an amazing return policy (even with the recent change of 60 days), and the staff are always so friendly and eager to play make-up with you! This store.... SO NOT THE CASE! I wish I could give it zero stars. The workers here are rude, unhelpful, and even condescending. The managers are no better, so perhaps they're following by example. Either way, they need a major customer service upgrade. I mean, I don't even enjoy my time when I go to that store and that's saying something - because it takes a lot to run Sephora. I went this weekend because of the 15% off for VIB members. First of all, I spent well over $75 in skincare, and they did not offer me the complimentary facial like I've had at other locations. Maybe they don't offer it here (just another reason to stay away) - but the store manager basically acted like I was a crazy person and was making it up out of nowhere. She could have literally called any other location in Atlanta to see if it was a thing (it is, I promise)... and if so, she could have asked if I could redeem that at another store instead. Just a thought! Then, I went to check out. I had a return (moisturizer that was purchased by someone as a gift - I had tried that particular brand before and didn't love it. When I received it as a gift I was like ehhh I'll return and swap for something else). By the way, I never even had opened the lotion. It was in its original packaging and even had the little seal in tact. It was very clearly never used (not like that should matter because they should take it back regardless with their return policy). Anyway, the lady who was ringing me up, Kiki, was awful. She examined the lotion for like 15 minutes and acted like it was unacceptable to take back. Keep in mind I had about $200 worth of other products in my bag to purchase after I returned the lotion. She had a rather snarky attitude about the whole ordeal - and then even made a confrontational comment saying "you bought this lotion in December". I told her - yes, I bought a bottle of that lotion in December and when tried it I didn't like it. So, when I received this bottle as a gift, I wanted to return it for something instead. She rolled her eyes and scoffed, then continued to ring up my other items. She NEVER ONCE said thank you for my purchase, or for being such a loyal member to Sephora. She basically tossed my bag at me after I paid, and then tilted her head to look around at the next guest. I will NEVER come back to this store. I would complain to a store manager, but honestly I doubt that would help after speaking with one yesterday. read more

Zero stars if I could. I walked in, exchanges in hand, and excited to get new product!! No one greets me, but I brush it off as they were pretty busy. I get what I need, and line up to be rung up. Here's where it really hits the fan. I explain to the bald, British, nametag-less cashier that I was exchanging two $15 mascaras and a $42 foundation for two different $15 mascaras and a $39 foundation. She refuses to return them both, so I re-explain, adding that everything was purchased the day before. Keep in mind I bought the $42 foundation with a gift card, and it could only be returned for store credit (cannot be used online). She proceeds to exchange the mascaras with no issue, but makes me pay for the foundation. I swipe my card, and then she returns the $42 foundation. Again, explain that I need to use the original foundation to pay for the new one. She freaks out and YELLS that I should've told her before, and keeps huffing, puffing, and rolling her eyes. Excuse me what?? I kept my cool as she called her (super kind) supervisor who fixed everything. Baldy repeatedly checks the returned mascaras with disgust, even though they were brand new in packaging. Needless to say, corporate will be hearing about her abhorrent behavior, and I'll stick to Sephora's East Cobb, Cumberland Mall, North Point, and Town Center locations. read more

Meh I've experienced better really is accurate now that I've experienced PCM Sephora many times. The most attention I have gotten at this store is being followed around like a hawk for absolutely no reason while on my lunch break to the point I left without buying anything. I feel like I would be bothering a sales associate if I try to ask a question here. And today that feeling was confirmed. I was looking at foundations, and I wasn't sure which was the right one for me since it's so hard to see in there, so I was hoping for help or maybe to do the Color IQ thing they do. My mom tried to get an associate's attention, she did a "one minute" gesture (she was putting things away like really it's a question) and then when I asked her about what color would be best, she says to me, you want it to look like nothings on, I can't tell anything is on your face. I had two different colors on my face in very small spots. She then was done with helping me. And I was done ever coming here again. MEH. I later went to PCM Sephora, where I was matched with a foundation that more suited what I was looking for, complete with actual application to my face with a brush from an associate. I have made my final trip to this location. Simple greeting of a customer should be automatic as well as asking if a customer needs assistance. Tho I have given more than one opportunity for correction, this does not happen here so I will take my business elsewhere. This location is on the busy side and that can be overwhelming at times. However, the help is always there to ensure you are finding everything you need. Unfortunately at this location there is not much room to look at the bends in the front since it is right by the line and for some reason anytime your looking, someone thinks you are cutting them. I love the floor plan at this location because everything is stretched out and not bunched up on top of each other. There are two exits at this store, so if you do not wish to walk through the entire mall, you can come in from the outside right into the store. read more

Just wow, as soon as I walked in the place was screaming mismanagment. The staff were allocated poorly...why need two people helping one customer? Anyway I needed to be matched for a foundation, so I told the lady who finally showed up at the vanity that I would like to get matched TOO (noting the three women before me). She rolled her eyes at me and as if I lacked sense told me I would have to wait after the three other woman. I just simply let her know, so I could be added to the queue. She listened well, pulled colors/products that would work best for me, and taught me how to use them. I know am fully prepared to do a more dramatic cat eye thanks to her. So, they have about 4-8 people working on the floor, and yet these people always act annoyed when you ask help finding something or need help with makeup or have questions. Also, I am talking about the people in the make up section only- they have continually been rude and act insulted that you are asking them for help. I am a rouge insider and the people who work here (make up section only) are always so rude and always act like they are too busy to help you with anything. I always ask for help and wait patiently, and yet no one ever comes back around to actually help me! Whether it is a question about a product, help finding a specific product, or help finding the right color or shade, no one will actually HELP ME! The employees act like they cannot be bothered to actually help someone shopping in their store! Trust me, I go in here all the time, and I have had so many of these experiences, I have stopped asking for help in the make up section. The skin care section is very helpful and nice, so I am not talking about the skin care section workers, but the MAKE UP SECTION IS THE WORST!! Anyway, this one star review is for the make up section only. This is not just 1 or 2 times, but ALWAYS bad service in this section of the store. It is frustrating because they have around 4-5 people working in this section of the store, which should be plenty to service their customers with a quick question. Wow, what a disappointing Sephora!! I came in on a Thursday afternoon, around 3:30. It had several customers inside, but nothing crazy. I was looking for some summertime makeup that will stay put in the heat and was ready to throw down some decent $$ but couldn't get any help. The available employees were off in the corners talking to each other and seemed less than thrilled to approach or assist the people coming in. The only person who greeted me was an associate who was in the middle of a makeover (thank you!!) and I wasn't about to be rude and ask her to step away from the other customer to help me instead. I decided to see if I could figure out my own shade, got the first shade wrong, then looked around and couldn't find anything to wipe the makeup off my hands. I only found one tissue box in the entire store, which was empty. No cotton balls, pads, nothing! After searching the all over I finally found a single cotton pad, which I grabbed and started to use, when I realized that it had stuff on it. Sure enough, I turn it around and find mascara streaks on it. Gross! I have never seen a Sephora is such a state before. Will surely never come back to this store again. read more

To avoid the typical madness of the mall on a weekend, I came to this Sephora location a few minutes after 10 to make my online return. After a couple minutes of me standing in the empty store at the empty checkout counter, a tall woman with short hair and glasses comes over and says she was trying to get the store open (no apology btw). Another worker comes behind the counter. I said I just needed to complete this return. Without looking at me, the tall lady says "Alex can you take care of this." And walks away. Alex is not much happier to take care of me. She has a very irritable, short demeanor while she completes the process. I tried to briefly explain why I was returning, and she proceeds to speak to another Sephora worker, not even paying attention to what I'm saying. (Now, they're everywhere, when I'm already being "helped"). I ask if I can leave the box with her. She pauses while glaring at it and snatched it saying "I guess I'll have to break it down". Like, WHAT? You work for a corporate chain like Sephora, and this is how you present yourselves? I was deep in the service industry for several years, and there's no excuse to treat a complete stranger, your customer, so poorly. If helping customers at 10:15 when you open at 10 is so inconvenient, either have your morning coffee earlier, or work a different shift girl. It was a quick trip, my first since I moved to this area, and I can most definitely tell you I will order online only from now on to avoid the terrible staff at this location. After reading a few other reviews, terrible service seems to be a common theme. I've been to several Sephora locations, and have never had less than a great experience. So, save yourself the headache and go spend your time and money elsewhere. read more

Sephora at Perimeter mall is located between Von Maur and the food court, on the first floor. They are open from 10 am-9:00pm, except on Sundays. Sephora is often considered a makeup addict's heaven. As a VIB Rouge, I truly appreciate their wide selection of products and brands. You can find an abundance of skincare products, eyeshadows, lipsticks and blushes, foundations, contouring kits, and perfumes in one location. Unfortunately, this Sephora is not up to par. I highly suggest people to go to the Lenox Mall location, for a better experience. A high majority of the workers here are rude and extremely disrespectful. I am very precise and picky on choosing makeup items, so I do not like to be harassed by workers constantly. The lines at this location moves as slow as it gets. They helped me locate the slightly obscure bottle of perfume I was looking for, opened up an extra register so the line would move faster, and even gift wrapped my purchase (though it was just for me). Sephora moved locations at the Perimeter mall on July 4th. It's not near Macy's but downstairs near Von Maur and Nordstroms. It has an outside entry too so you don't have to go through the mall if you only need to shop at Sephora. On the day I went (a Wednesday I think) I got excellent service. They matched me to the foundation I was looking for but weren't so pushy about adding on other items. When I got to the counter, the cashier was answering the phone. It was a customer looking for the store inside of the mall. Now, I work retail myself and know what it feels like when someone almost expects you to leave your store to find them and hold their hand on the way back to your store when they can't seem to locate you. The way the cashier handled it though was unprofessional. You could hear in her voice she was irritated and was rolling her eyes. It's just one of those things that doesn't look good in front of other customers in my opinion as a manager and I would have definitely had a conversation with her had she been my employee. read more

I like this Sephora location. The folks that work here are very sweet and eager to help with advice on products. They're generous with samples (just ask) if you are indecisive on a purchase. Yes, they are out to make a sale, but that is sort of their job so I never hold it against them. The size of this store is larger than some others I've been to and they have a pretty good selection of products. Everything is also pretty well organized. I spend hundreds of dollars a month in Sephora and the fact that I asked for 4 samples today because I wanted to try a new product line (dry bar) and then the lady "trying" to help me said that they only give out 3 samples per customer blows my mind. She acted like I was on my 50th sample. She was not in anyway friendly she did not smile and she acted like all she wanted to do was go back and talk to her coworker friend. EXHAUSTING, (BUT IN A GOOD WAY)! This is a large cosmetics store that carries various collections including special collections, (Black Up) for women of color. I have found that the major collections such as MAC, Lancome, Bobbi Brown, Bare Minerals and many others carry an extensive selection that includes choices for women of every color so you don't really NEED special collections. Ironically, I found that the Black UP products were the weakest because when the rich royal blue was applied to my daughter's skin, it looked like a navy or charcoal gray and it didn't seem to have much staying power. The color was easily dispersed with just a slight touch. When it comes to make up, women tend to stick with a particular brand that works for them. Since we were shopping for new options, we discovered the Make-up Forever section which seemed to have some great products. Everything is available for testing. I just enjoy touching products with my bare hands in order to evaluate the richness and the ability of the items to actually stay on the skin. I also like seeing how true the color is on the skin. These products were the best in terms of rich composition and longevity, the were rich in pigment so they deposited great color. They were also not easily removed which means that they will wear well. This line was our favorite. In each make up section, you will find a cleansing station that has what you need to remove the makeup and clean your hands. This store is extensive and has everything you could possibly need when it comes to cosmetics, skin care, and beauty supplies. Plan to spend some time here especially if you are new to the store or unsure about what you want or need. You may want to save time by doing a little research before going because the shopping process can be exhausting. This store was well staffed today and my daughter and I had an enjoyable time just exploring and experimenting. This is a great shop for mothers and daughters and girlfriends who just love experimenting with makeup and other beauty aids and supplies. read more

The sales associates are always friendly and willing to help. Sephora is the place to go for both high-end and low-end beauty products. I usually place orders online instead of going into the brick and mortar store. This Sephora inside of Perimeter Mall is just "okay." The sales associates are nice and helpful and they have a great return policy. I have gone in twice this year feeling pretty sorry for myself (always boy trouble) and left feeling like a million bucks. My favorite Sephora in the Atlanta area. I came in a few months back on my lunch break and requested help with a full coverage foundation that wasn't too heavy. Brittany, a traveling Sephora artist, asked me some questions and found one right away for me. I was so impressed that I bought what she suggested and a new brush as well. I have been getting compliments on my make-up ever since. The foundation I bought was Coverfx, a brand I had never heard of but Brittany has turned me into an instant believer. Love her!! read more

Located inside Perimeter Mall, just like every other Sephora, the set up is about the same. The only thing about this one is that it's not a big as the others. I came here with my sister and she was looking for a specific item, so as she was looking for the item, I decided to walk around and see if there's any new arrivals . I walked all the way to the back and there was a lady walking around in the back that asked me if I needed help finding something , so i told her "I'm just looking around". I guess she took my word and automatically think I was looking around to steal something . She literally followed me around the entire time until I turned around and asked her " do you think I'm gonna steal something ?" . She replies by saying , "no no , don't take it that way , Im just doing my job". If that was the case, then why was she following me around until I noticed her right ? So I went to tell my sister the lady is making me very uncomfortable and that I was going to leave the store but she told me to just give her a few more minutes, so I did and I walked around again , but this time the lady went to my sister and told her something about me, but my sister had no clue what was going on. Moral of the story is that, the store is too small for anybody to even try to steal, why do the people here act like that ?. When you go shopping, you don't want anybody following you around thinking you're going to steal from their store. read more
