Medical grade perfection! I love how knowledgeable the staff is on their products, they carry all the best products. Woo skincare has plenty of parking available. They are located in the Peachtree Battle shopping center. My favorite product line skinceuticals is carried here along with Elta MD sunscreen. When I came in inquiring about a new product to replace my retinol they offered me a sample of another less harsh product to try. Retinol seems to burn my skin, so I am trying out the skinceuticals resurfacing serum. They also carry products exclusively for men, which my boyfriend loves. He also loves to steal my products so I buy two when I am shopping here. I believe they also offer facials and makeup application. I want to come back and try their services out! I have shopped at this store for years and spend aprox $350 every time. I will never shop here again and now just get my products at Blue Mercury. The sales person was incredibly rude and literally through my make up at me. She did not like that I requested her not to wrap up each product in wasteful paper. I was so upset I called to speak with a manager and the rude sales person said she was a manager. What pathetic customer service! Shame on you Woo. read more

This store is located in a small but very popular plaza called Peachtree Battle in Buckhead. The store location is great cause you can hop over to Cafe Lapin for lunch or dinner, and I also found Holeman and Finch bottle shop in the same plaza! The service and knowledge on skincare and beauty products are top notch here. One of my favorite people from Neimans has transferred to this store (Sunny)and I'm so excited cause they have amazing skincare products that you can only find in dermatologist offices or medspas. SKINCARE LINES They carry the whole Darphin line which I cannot wait to try, Revision (highly rated on all dermatology things), Caudalie, and Skinceuticals to name a few. MAKEUP SERVICES They also have trained makeup artists that can also come to you for special occasions but they have artists in store ready for appointments as well! I had been in desperate need of a new makeup routine for ages. That once pristine Aveda compact with face powder was now tarnished with a dusty layer of broken powder pieces and my other stuff didn't look so good either, even a much loved eyeliner. This review is meant to be useful if you want the scoop on a good place for makeup AND someone to teach and show you what you need, without the pushy oversell. Enter: Woo. Mom was kind enough to spring for a pre-birthday gift and I had Kennerly at the Trish counter do the work. First, her style is WAY different and much heavier than mine. With a couple of fits and starts- she had to undo and back off a little of her original efforts, based on my conservative-ness- we got it right. Warning: a truly basic regime ran me just over $300. This includes one skin/age product, the Daily Exfoliator (at almost 40 (eep!) this was a necessary pick); a concealer, Instant Eye Lift; the Beauty Booster tinted moisturizer (serves as a moisturizer and a replacement for my Aveda powder, so this is my over-the-concealer finishing product - lighter than a foundation but more "finishing" than the light powder I had that always faded off); one Classic Eye Pencil eyeliner (in Charcoal, a great match for my blue-with-a-tinge of gray-green eyes); the High Volume mascara in Jet Black (apparently, I have gorgeous lashes and this emphasizes them even more); and two lip pretties, Essential Pencil in Baby Pink and Lip Color in Kisses (this one looks eggplant-y and glossy and goes on as a casual-up-to-dressy pink). So - 7 products, $313 and change. I put the bronzer, sweepy multi-purpose brush and compact to hold the bronzer (plus a base shadow I want) on the later list they will keep for you. I gave Kennerly an idea of what I could spend (not wanting to abuse Mom's generosity) and she patiently kept adding and subtracting items to play around with what I finally selected. The key for me: good products I will use consistently. See pic - I am pleased with the results of this makeover, and am (pretty) confident I can replicate on the regular. Woo is a great place to get the good stuff, and the folks are friendly and knowledgeable (and ask you if you want water or wine, if that's your preference) and they always have lots of hair, makeup, body, candle and other accessories or gifts to peruse. I cannot recommend enough as a person who does not know really anything about skin products I was buying a Mother's Day gift for my dear Mom and the staff walked me through the product catalogue even offered to gift wrap and assist with postage to make sure the serum my mom was wanting got to my mom on time. They are also an authorized Skinceuticals retailer, held the product I wanted for 48 hours to make sure it didn't sell out. Also with respect to social distancing, they allowed payment over the phone and a curbside pickup so it's definitely the kind of place made for a son with limited knowledge on the subject of topical skin care trying to shop for his mom. I love Woo! I am a regular there and have appreciated the way you can just walk in and play with the makeup and skin care products. They don't pressure you to buy anything and are honest about which products will work best for you, regardless of the brand. They'll suggest a little bit of Bobbie Brown here, some Smashbox here, and some Trish McEvoy there. They will give you a glass of white wine while you browse (or after your bikini wax...thank you!). They also will call you when something you might like comes in to the store. I really liked the esthetician, Dawn. She did my bikini wax and I'm a total wimp! She made me quite comfortable, despite my being a rather modest person. She also did a better job than the person I went to a the Bliss Spa in midtown but used their Poetic Wax (which shrink-wraps the hair and provides a less painful experience. The wax doesn't burn your skin or anything and cools very quickly once on) for a great result. They run specials sometimes and will give you "Woo Bucks" which are like rewards-bucks towards your next purchase. A lot of small shops don't do that. I appreciate that Woo understands we are in a tough economy and dollars are tight with most people now. It looks like a Sephora and a day spa had a middle-aged Buckhead lady baby. It's deceptively small but stocked with lots of high-end makeup and skin care products. And they do facials, makeup lessons, lash and brow tinting. Julie does my lash and brow tinting - i have nearly invisible light blond eyebrows and eyelashes- and she always does an amazing, natural looking job. If you've never gotten your lashes dyed, it is cheap and worth it. Not having to wear mascara for a month? Yes, please. And she tints my brows to make my gray eyes pop. I love it. Every other place makes me, according to my daughter, 'look like an angry Japanese man'. "you mean like Kabuki?' 'Is that Japanese for angry?" "Uhhhhhh" Seriously, lash tinting is the thing and Julie is your girl. You'll never go back. read more

My dad is involved in Boy Scouts, and sometimes has to go to things in Covington. Sometimes my mom comes along and is dropped off at my apartment. This is how I ended up here. She just basically arrives and started talking about "Woo." It's before 10am so I still am wondering what on earth she is talking about, she insults my skin, then tells me to head down Piedmont Road because my moisturizing or soap or whatever isn't up to whatever the hell standard she just came up with. ...of course since she doesn't live here, she has confused Piedmont and Peachtree. Easy enough once she finally tells me it's W-O-O and not the W-H-O-O I'm putting in Google Maps. I finally get us there. Oh duh. I've been in this shopping center a bunch of times. It was kind of weird, though I probably made it weird by not really giving a fuck about what was going on. I think this led the woman who helped us to believe I was like 17 or 18 instead of over 21 since my mother was doing all the talking. I finally tried to add to whatever was going on. I tried a couple scrubs and moisturizers, and really liked the Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer (until later in the day when someone with Dior in Macy's put something else on my face, oops...AND she also said I had amazing skin...ahem). I really, really like that stuff. I was quite happy with what I have, and I can be difficult to get to change to something else, especially if it feels heavy. This stuff was perfect. The people who work here know what they're talking about and can help you find what you need. Pretty sure if I had been left up to my own doings to find the right color tinted moisturizer, I would have weird looking skin. My mom also ended up having a bunch of questions about foundation and eyeliners and all answers were had. I was also given a sample of Laura Mercier scrub and Bobbi Brown tube soap. Woo is a freaking breath of fresh air compared to going to the mall for your make-up. The staff is super friendly and (this might sound cheesy) they truly want you to look great! If you care about your make-up products, you will love this place. I went specifically to get tips on how to do my own wedding make-up, and they spent a LOT of time with me. They really know what they are doing and are knowledgeable about ALL the products they sell. They carry Bobbi Brown, Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier and Yves St. Laurent (among others), and the staff seemed to know the nuances of every single brand. They also had tons of insider tips to share. Sephora is better than the mall, and Woo is better than Sephora! Like Sephora, but with great customer service and attention to detail sans mall. The only caution I have is that you may like it so much that you end up dropping a huge wad of cash like I did. But I am happy with all that I got and use every single product. ATTENTION: UNCONVENTIONAL REVIEW BELOW I've never been to any of the Woo Skincare & Cosmetics boutiques anywhere. Nor have I ever met any of their wonderful employees in person. I did however, find a product that they had in stock which I wanted to send to my lovely GF who was in Atlanta working at the gift show downtown. I got calls from 2 managers, in two different states that were going to the gift show in the coming days. They were both extraordinarily kind and very knowledge about their product line. In the span of twenty minutes the deal was done! I was able coordinate with Linda from the Peachtree store a purchase over the phone (1944 miles away), a gift note, fancy gift wrapping and delivery directly to the booth that my GF was hosting at the gift show. Linda was amazing! The level of customer service was astounding. Bordering on shocking! Her co-worker, Natalie, from the Nashville store was willing to do the same thing but, they did not have the same product in stock so I changed my selection to one available in Atlanta. I may never step foot in a Woo S & C store becaue I live in Los Angeles but, I can say these two things with absolute clarity; A) It was one of the most memorable shopping experiences I have ever had by way of brick & mortal, internet and phone combined. B) The level of attention and wiliness to satisfy a customer's needs may never be eclipsed and should be available far more often. Thank you so much to Linda and your team! This is the place to get your makeup done! Elena helped me get camera ready for newborn photos with my daughter and husband. She did a great job creating a soft, pretty look that would still show up on "film". Plus, she was charming to talk to and the time flew by in her chair. $50 is a small price to pay to have your makeup look this good. I got my makeup done here for my wedding day and I have never been so disappointed in any service I've ever received. I look back at my wedding day photos and am devestated at how horrible my makeup looks. I tell everyone that this is the biggest regret I have about my wedding. It makes me sad to this day. I've spent thousands of dollars here and tolerated the bitchy sales people for a few years...but it's better than going to the mall. No more. After today and their accosting me in the shop when I smelled some body wash I'm done. My daughter and I entered the store with masks on, used hand sanitizer at the entry that was for customers. We were greeted but there was zero info on protocol of their Covid procedures and precautions..we proceeded to shop normally. I had about $175 in product already in a basket. When the bitch sales girl with her attitude like I was a leper attacked me for sniffing body wash. Note there were no testers for the product. I told her it would have been nice to know that I was only to use/smell testers...although not all products have testers I was supposed to know that I was to get another product of the same sent and smell that. There is no signage, no mention of it at entry, no "if you'd like to smell or test something let me know...we're assisting with samples and testing". So I can sample hand lotion, running the product packaging on my skin but I cannot smell a body wash thru a mask? I can also touch every product and put it back on the shelf. They are driving everyone to the testers concentrating potential germs. They are clearly not aware of the newest report that non carriers or the a-systematic are extremely low risk of spread. Just tell people your policies...don't attack them mid Shopping with a shitty attitude. I put down the basket and walked out. I'll take my money elsewhere. Never going back and telling every person I know (many who say it's a crappy place to shop because of many of the sales people) how they treat people, how to inform, how to educate and how to make a stressful shopping experience tolerable. The location & parking make this a quick trip or if you have time I'd recommend a facial from Dawn one of the Woo girls & skin care specialist I have grown to trust. She is wonderfully consistant which my skins treasures, asking thoughtful questions & fully analyzing your personal needs before using the most yummy products on your skin achieving real results. Over the years I have had facials/waxing done by many "high end" estheticians, and Dawn at Woo is hands down the very best. She is incredibly knowledgeable and does superb work, but in addition to that she is charming and friendly with a soothing demeanor. Any time I've had a facial or waxing done in the past, my skin has broken out horribly, but Dawn assured me this wouldn't happen with her technique. I was skeptical, but with Dawn, my skin was absolutely smooth and glowing with zero breakouts after the facial/waxing. She also took the time to go through every single one of my beauty products from home and tell me the best way to use them. Let me first start by saying that I think everyone's experience here will vary. Personally, I notice a massive difference in the service/friendliness level based on what I am wearing. If I stopped in after work, the staff was bending over backwards. But on my yoga days, it is as if you are invisible. I often test shops to see how genuine they are, and this place failed miserably on my last 2 "yoga days". There is nothing in this store that you can not get at Sephora, Neimans, or Saks. Nothing special. Assistance can be rudely overbearing. Where they determine your skin type within 2 seconds of glancing at you and talk down to you as if you are an idiot. I do know a thing or two about this stuff, and take my skincare pretty seriously. So I was not pleased when I let their aesthetician ramble just to see what she would say. Epic fail. She got everything about my skin wrong, but was so busy listening to herself talk that she did not take a breath to ask me if she was on the right track. I think the key to success in a place like this is listening to your client, and what they would like. I unfortunately never experienced that here. I also had my eyebrows done here once. Once. Whether I'm in my work clothes or work-out clothes, every one is always very friendly. And thanks to Julie, my skin is now the clearest it has ever been in my whole life. If only I had met Julie a long time ago, who knows how much money I would have saved by not buying the wrong ones to begin with!
