Went in a couple days ago with my granddaughter. I asked the first staff person I saw for help in finding me a new foundation. They told me someone with more experience would be with me shortly. I was escorted pretty quickly to where the woman that was supposed to help me, she was with another customer. So I waited. And waited, and waited. Wasn't acknowledged by this woman or told sorry I will be right with you. The sweet girl that had previously helped me said to the employee are you going to go clean your brush before helping her meaning me??? The rudeness I felt from that employee made me almost leave right away. But then that sweet employee said she could help me. I unfortunately did not get names. My granddaughter is nine and I definitely did not want to make a scene. read more

Short manager with curly hair is incredibly rude, store is empty and still disregarded me after I asked her a question about an in stock item. Said whatever is there is there. Cooool I mean can I order it? Is there something similar, with another brand? No? You walked away? Nice! At that point you could have just sent someone else to help me at that point. Worse customer service! 8/26. Wanting to use the gift card I got for my birthday. And I needed new foundation, and no one can shade match me . One woman tried shade matching me and all the ones she tried on me was either too white or too orange. She told me to basically go look on my own. The other lady I asked said she couldn't do it . And then went to the front and just got my free birthday gift set . While getting my item the guy said how was everything I told him I wanted to use my gift card for new foundation and no one can shade match me . And he just ignore me. So disappointed. read more

I have been to five different Sephora's in Northern, Central and Southern California. If a person is launching a product line of 80 shades, all shades should be there in order to complete the launch. Every store that I have visited have said they don't know if they're going to receive the shades for women or a darker color. Mind you, I'm asking the DM's of the store. This is crazy. The filthiest Sephora store I've ever been to. The filthiest make up store I've ever been to, period. There were thick layers of dust and hair all over the lipstick and make up on display and it wasn't just one or two items. It was all over everything. Granted, the make up being purchased would be boxed and clean, but how hard is it to clean the products on the shelves?? I couldn't believe what I saw at this location. Another important note- The woman who was helping color match us had yellow make up on that didn't match her skin. How can you color match me if you can't color match yourself? Unlike the many Sephoras in North America that I have been to, the staff here are just not on the ball. I feel bad that they were looted by thieves over X-mas. Not good. But staff really should be walking around the store more, observing, engaging customers and providing service. Every time I go in, they do not have the products I need, in stock. They are just constantly out for whatever reason. The samplers are also out, just sitting there sad and empty. For weeks. This store needs home office attention as Bakersfield needs a good, functioning Sephora! We do not have a lot of other options for such products in this city! I have been going to Sephora for many years and had always had the best customer service. Love their products love their staff, store clean it has always been a treat to go in there until Tonight. I Experienced the absolute worst customer service and I will NEVER return. Tonight the door greeter Nana ( I believe that's her name) was on mask watch and I completely understand the importance of wearing your mask but she should understand human kindness!! As she approached me and my children she put her hands in front of me almost like she wanted to push me. Trying to direct me to another way to go in. I was so angry but I went ahead and went to the spot the young girl asked Me too. She walked up to me and my children again telling me to put on my mask in the most Disrespectful way. Even though I wasn't even in the store yet she raised her voice very loudly and demanded me to put my mask on. I had to tell her I heard her. Being talked to that way in front of your children is very upsetting and I was literally shaking I was so angry on how this young girl spoke to me. I decided on staying at the store because I love their make up and I did drive across town to go to that store. We went in and began to shop, of course she was the one who had to color match us. I bent down to grab a bottle of foundation she was standing over me and demanded I put my mask over my nose. At that point I put mine and my daughters basket down and decided to leave and we took our business to MAC across the way. Where we we treated with much more respect! I understand the importance of the mask I know they have to be worn as I am also in customer service, but I have never treated someone with such disrespect. I am falling in love with these sephora's. You rack up points to get free items, for your birthday you get nice gifts. Today I went to the sephora based on a sample that was given at another Sephora's. I almost didn't purchase the perfume because one of the sephora's beauty aid assistant stated they didn't have it. But thank goodness another beauty aid assistant overheard her and directed me to the rear of the store where Aries was waiting to assist me. She directed to the brand called Fresh which had that sample I smelled at the other Sephora. It is called Brown Sugar. She also invited to smell a few other fragrances by Fresh which were very nice as well. She was so helpful, nice and patient. We even goofed around a little. Aries rocks. read more

I was originally told they close at 8, then they double checked and was told 7. I got to the store at 6:58 to be told at the door they are closed and stop allowing people in 15 minutes before 7 to ensure everyone is out within time. Went today, and it being the holiday season the place was PACKED! But that did not deter the employees from providing excellent customer service! Briana(hope I spelt her name right!) was so helpful! She helped me find a light enough brow dip for me! I have a dirty blonde hair color and I've always had a hard time finding a brow dip that wasn't too dark, I had been using eye shadow for years ‍ so glad she helped! She also helped me find two perfect lip glosses! I was pretty specific because I didn't want the color too strong something more transparent and we found them! And they have a magical tingling feeling to them and they make me feel alive!!!! I left her and went to the skin care section, I forgot the other ladies name but she talked me into getting a watermelon mask set! So cute! She also helped me find mud masks I was looking for so I can feel like a Queen ... I wanted something that I could do once a week but wasn't too hard on my skin and she helped me find ones that were buy one get one 1/2off!! This sephora is absolutely stingy with samples. I think the employees think it's there own actual products. You have to literally beg for a sample and even then they act as of its a crime. The sample makeup they have for you to try on is always a mess. It's dirty and dried out and a lot of people steal the samples also. The employees ignore you and never greet you either. They have a big employee turn over also no one individual works here for too long. The staff is not trained in finding the right foundation color so it's easier to just do it yourself. Once it took 40 minutes for a woman to get me a sample of perfume. This one is also REALLY stingy with samples-- they're supposed to always offer them so you can try and decide what you're going to buy. Not here. Had the best experience at this Sephora today! My sister and I were being followed by a man. We were waiting in the line outside when he came extremely close to us and the employee at the door immediately noticed and started a conversation with us about what we were looking for then asked the man behind us the same questions. Once we were let in the store we were immediately greeted by employees and offered assistance. I couldn't find some skin care so I had help from the most amazing employee! She noticed that my sister and I were frantic and checked on us and watched us the rest of the time to make sure we were okay! She watched out for us until we left. CoVid time shopping is different. Plain and simple things are weird. At Sephora I lined up(6 feet apart) and waited outside door. The gal at the front squirted my hands with sanitizer and basically told me don't touch things. Now in Sephora that's really difficult but luckily I came for one item and brought my fiancé who was more than happy to keep my touching and Buying to a minimum. I usually order all of my products online because I don't like visiting our Bakersfield mall (unless it's early and not busy) or I want to smell a new perfume/cologne. My husband sometimes surprises me with gift cards and always tells me "Frankie did the check out and he's really cool." For my husband to remember his name says a lot. I too have had EXCELLENT customer service from Frankie. He goes over and beyond for me and always gives me great advice on products. He has a bubbly personality that makes your shopping experience fun and welcomed. I have taken a survey and mentioned how pleasurable my experience has been with him and how professional he is. We are lucky to have him at our store. I'm giving a 4 star only because this store doesn't always have items in stock and unfortunately not all employees are as helpful as him. read more
