Laser hair removal burns and blistering on arms. After I mentioned my arms were remaining hot I was delayed in being given ice packs. I had an excruciating ride home before I realized something was very wrong. I was initially told they would do whatever to correct any scarring but was only provided hydrocortisone and skin bleaching cream (which did nothing). I was reassured scarring would go away but obvious scarring remains a year later. Thousands of dollars spent for second degree burns and all my hair returned. read more

This review is long overdue because I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but in this case I feel I have to in order to warn others. Two years ago I visited this office to get under eye filler. My right cheek was left with a red dot-like mark. I returned and the doctor apologized and said he would perform microneeding at no charge since it was caused by him. Wanting to get the scar removed, I regretfully agreed and was left with a deep wound that was bleeding and oozing after, leaving a scab. This is NOT a normal outcome!! After months, it finally healed but I was left with trauma induced hyperpigmentation! Doctor took no responsibility and told me I had sensitive skin and reminded me that I signed a waiver. He recommended I apply over the counter $5 hydrocortisone cream to it. Obviously this didn't help. It has been a year and a half and I still have the red dot with added hyperpigmentation, which I will probably have the rest of my life. I have to wear concealer all the time and it has affected my confidence. I wish I would have researched this doctor more as a professional and experienced doctor would have never let this happen. Very dangerous experience. Please read this review thoroughly to avoid harm to your body on behalf of this practice. My esthetician, despite knowing it was my first time, gave me no sense of what to expect, or aftercare. He simply asked me to frown, smile, and raise my eyebrows, and drew dots on my face and recommended 42 units. He did not ask me about my medical history or what supplements I'm taking. Thank goodness I prepared for this appointment as he was completely unprofessional in not asking me about my medical history. He was clearly irritated when I said I was scheduled to receive 20 units in my forehead. He then proceeded to give me 20 units in my brow line, despite my saying forehead and pointing to it. I am unaware if he did this to spite me or if he was simply negligent. My husband was in the room and witnessed this and filmed the incident. The esthetician then handed me a flyer with brief aftercare instructions and walked out the room, no words. I was not given a consultantion, despite being scheduled for this. He did not ask me if I was ok after the procedure. He showed no care for my well being. He was grossly negligent and I will be reporting him to the BBB, FDA, and other review boards to see if he violated licensure requirements. After sitting in the car watching me cry, after this terrible experience, my husband reentered the office. The esthetician smugly handed my husband a brochure for a procedure after my husband explained to the man how he abused me as a patient. This is a dangerous practice. My very first experience receiving botox... Complete fail. I went in there with a Groupon coupon of $179 for 20 units of botox. Came out after "40 units" at almost $300 and results were not what I wanted at all!!! I simply wanted to go in for botox on my crows feet, the little lines on the sides of your eyes when you smile. He injected all supposedly 40 units on my forehead lines and I hate how stupid I feel unable to frown, raise eyebrows or squint. I JUST WANTED CROWS FEET GONE! Let me say, I've been to top doctors in the Bay Area. Hands down this place is beyond professional, clean and staffed with a well known board certified physician and knowledgeable nurses. Having just moved to The Bakersfield area, I wasn't sure who to go to. A friend of mine, who's a surgeon, highly recommended this med spa, and I'm beyond happy that she did. I knew she wouldn't steer me wrong, and her lips and skin are always stunning, getting compliments from all of our friends. Entering the environment, it was full of clients. Overhearing their conversations many were return clients who were happy with their skin care routines and procedures. I overheard a couple of girls talking about the lip yelp reviews, pointing out that their own family members had their lips one here, and it's was the best work they've had. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be well-versed in aesthetics and plastic surgery, know that any med spa will adjust work they've done, if you're not happy. I havent been to any medical spas before but this was my first time and wanted to try something new. Youthology was easy to find, the office was Beverly hills type setting. Very Pleasant and professional! I had the Hydrafacial procedure and it was a great experience! It is 149.00 on Groupon but they charge the same price at the spa. They also have discounted packages. I was welcomed by Sherry and filled out paperwork formalities before going into the room. The procedure itself is 30 minutes long. She uses the 20k machine along with other techniques such as cleaning and moisturizing your face. She also does extractions on nose and uses red light therapy at the end. As for the result, your face is what they say "Glowing" aka hydrated. Right after, my skin was smooth to the touch. It's been two weeks now and my face is still soft. I will be returning and sending recommendations. Note: I also witnessed another Hydrafacial session at another facility in town. They did the same thing minus the red light therapy. The facility Doctor totally botched my lips. Dr. S, first asked me what type of filler did I receive at his facility & I told him juvaderm. His exclamation expressed that he was going to contact juvaderm because it is not suppose to cause bumps (unconsciously agreeing that my lips are botched) and walked out the room, and cane back with a medical q-tip. Dr. S proceeded to check my lips and said everything was centered. Then, he had the audacity to say that my crooked tooth is what caused the bumps. The fact that he style in face and kept saying he cares about me and my beautiful face, all while lying to me just baffled me.
