The absolute worst experience ever both times. Sephora Liberty Center you have convinced me to never come back. There they grab you at the door and want to help you. I was glad for the help. The saleswoman there was trying to do a skin analysis on my cheek. She tried 2 different machines and they wouldn't work. So she went to find another one. When she finally came back I asked to sit down while she did this. I am 71 and recent knee surgery. I didn't request the skin analysis she offered so I could buy a new skincare and makeup line. She told me no they absolutely do not allow anyone to sit except if they booked a service. I gave them the basket of all the other items, fragrance, Lip gloss and gifts I was going to purchase, then left and went to Ulta. The second time I went with my daughter and the sales person was helping her with makeup. She left to go get something for her and never returned. She walked past her several times but never acknowledged her again. I didn't understand what that was about but again we went to Ulta and got all of her items. Never again Sephora Liberty Center. My friend (17) and I (18) went shopping in this store today. We had workers approach us every 2 minutes. We had one employee follow us through the whole store. We heard one employee talking to others about us "causing trouble." We didn't think we looked like we were stealing, as we had 8 bags from pervious stores. We felt extremely uncomfortable being followed around the store. We didn't have a chance to walk through the whole store because we couldn't be left alone for 2 minutes. Friendly, knowledgeable staff...which is a big improvement over the Sephora I used to go to where I was usually ignored and felt out of place, like I wanted to leave as soon as I was there. Every time I go here the staff looks miserable. And that poor visual display usually transcends to an awful auditory experience for when they speak you get rudeness with a little bit of sass and sadness on the back end. Usually my love for cologne makes it worth the trip inside to deal with the zombie horde of employees but today was my last visit in as their return policy is completely useless and not driven towards customer satisfaction. I love it here. I get all my make up, skin care, and sometimes hair care from here. I will say a lot of the products here are pricey, but that's to be expected. Sephora has their own line of make up and 1. It's affordable and 2. Surprisingly it's very good l. I've gotten my make up done here and I've never been disappointed. The make up artists wash your face, give you skin care advice, give you make up tips, and always have friendly conversations. Every time I go to get my make up done for an event I tell them exactly what I want and they deliver. You're always greeted as soon as you walk in and there's always some around to help. I like that if you need help, like say, finding a highlighter and you ask for help they will walk you through which brands are best and then show you how to do it. I like too that if you ask for a sample they'll give it to you because you don't want to drop big $$$ and be disappointed by the outcome. I found my favorite face wash (Korres Greek Yogurt) from a sample. And a lot of times at check out they'll give you random samples of things. If you are a beauty junkie like me, then you already know that Sephora is the BEST. This particular location in Kenwood Shopping Center is a great Sephora for 2 reasons: 1. They always keep this store super organized and clean. Have you ever been into a Sephora around Christmas time? It's havoc! Makeup samples strewn all over the place, nothing is restocked, lines that are 10 people deep...Well, this Sephora is great at keeping the store looking beautiful, even during their busy season. They keep the products well-stocked, and the stations for getting your makeup done are clean. 2. The staff is super knowledgeable and so friendly. I've had in depth conversations with Sephora staff members about concealer, lash glue, contour, foundation, dry shampoo...you name it, I've asked! They know it all. Plus, I've taken their Winged Eyeliner class (free for Beauty Insiders!), and it was so great, I really learned a lot. They always have plenty of people working on the weekends, so you never have to wait for help. I love this Sephora, and I'm here like every other week (frankly, I'm surprised they don't recognize me yet). If you're not a Beauty Insider yet, sign up! It's their rewards program and it's absolutely FREE, so you can get classes, samples, etc. And if you keep spending, you get even more rewards. Sephora, you have deflated my beauty expectations. I rarely visit the mall, but was looking for some beauty Christmas gifts and I had a pretty good Sephora coupon, so I popped in. I love the store itself. Very clean and high end looking. Organized so it's easy to find things. They were pretty busy but the checkout line was moving quickly thanks to staff seeing a backup and jumping in to move things along. I asked about eyes and was offered a quick mini eye makeover. Unfortunately, the person I got was not very skilled and she wiped my eyes to start over 3 times. My quick, leisurely trip to Sephora ended up wasting 45 minutes of my time for an eye makeover that didn't even help me decide what I wanted to know to begin with...and frankly my eyes looked much better before the makeover. I was also hoping to pick up my platinum VIP level gift but was disappointed by the selection. For over $600 in purchases this year, I can choose 1 trial size product no bigger than my pinkie?! Ah! What a wonderful place Sephora is! As brand overall, they do makeup right. They have a well curated collection of makeup from mid range to high end brands you can trust to be high quality. Note that you will not find any drugstore brands here! You can also count on generally knowledgeable and friendly staff, particularly at this location. I've had many employees go far out of their way to help me in my purchase. Plus, the ability to try before you buy on nearly anything in the store is fantastic! I take advantage of this regularly, leaving me very rarely disappointed in a purchase. Another great thing is some of the tie ups they have with other companies, Pantone and OPI come to the top of my mind. Samples are a regular part of the process and sephora itself also sells themed packs of products from multiple brands, particularly around the holidays. The perfume sampler is a great gift! Store is clean, well lit and comfortable to navigate. They also offer a rewards program called beauty insider. I always look forward to a yearly premium free birthday gift (they also have a male gift option) as part of that program. Additionally, there are upper tiers that have additional benefits, coupons, private events and offers, called VIB and VIB rouge. The adult woman's candy store. Sephora is the perfect makeup and fragrance store. They carry so many different brands, from what's the current trend to classic staples of American beauty products. They always have free samples to give out, and on my birthday they gave me a special bottle of Philosophy bath and body wash. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable with out being right over your shoulder. They have an amazing selection of makeup, anti aging products, nail polish, high end body washes and shampoos, and almost every kind of perfume and men's cologne you can think of. It is definitely worth it to sign up for their free Beauty Rewards cards, when you use it upon check out you occasionally get more free samples, and like I said a special little gift for your birthday. Oh my gosh. Coming to Sephora makes me want to make wearing makeup an everyday thing! I don't even mind the sensory overload this place gives me. The people who work here are great. I was here on a Saturday afternoon, so it was very busy, but they were awesome, giving off this vibe and knowledge about makeup that made me want to bow and say "Yes, Sensei." No matter what type of makeup you're looking for, what information you need about skin or hair, they have most definitely got you covered. And since I told my sister about this store, I think they might have a new customer for life! I think my favorite thing about this store is that I think they have a sample of literally everything they carry. Literally. As a veteran, I was enjoying a shopping day with my two daughters 20 & 23, who are both frequent shoppers at Sephora (oldest is a Rouge member), and popped into Sephora to find a new concealer. Walked around for 5 minutes trying to find someone to help (two employees standing in the aisle chatting, one running around dusting and another just standing in a makeup aisle by the front, and 3 at the registers even though it was not busy). I asked the two if they could help, one said she was on break, the other was the Manager who asked if I signed up at the register for help? Seriously? sign up to ask a damn question? When I asked her if she was serious she became very flippant, so needless to say, we left, went to BareMinerals store a few doors down and dropped $200 and received the best customer service ever and they were super helpful. I made a reservation online for a full face makeover for a black tie event I was attending. I walked in the store and was greeted by Lacey, who was so nice, and very helpful. A few minutes later, Nicole introduced herself as the artist who will be applying my makeup. She asked what I wanted, I showed her a couple photos, and she got straight to work. She gave me exactly what I was looking for, it was so beautiful. I ended up purchasing most of the items she used. I got so many compliments on my makeup that night. My only suggestion is since you can only schedule an appointment online/on the app, it would be nice to have an option to select your makeup artist. read more

This Sephora is no different than your neighborhood Sephora (better than Sephora located in JCP). Pricing you can find online. They offer a variety of beauty, skin, hair, and perfume options. Some brands you'll find in store are Dior, Marc Jacobs, YSL, Giorgio Armani, Bobbi Brown, Bumble and Bumble, IGK, Philosophy, Christophe Robine, Givenchy, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Make Up Forever, Anastasia, Laura Mercier, call store if there are other brands you are interested in purchasing in store. You will NOT find Tom Ford (go to Nordstrom), MAC (go to Nordstrom), Geurlain (go to Dilliards), or Gucci (go online, sorry). The staff is knowledgeable and willing to assist. They have an area when you come in on your right, where staff can instruct you on make-up application of products for purchase (I haven't done it, but I've seen girls sitting there getting product instruction). The lines are typically not super long. Sometimes products are not available due to popularity, so then I go online to buy it (most recently the IGK blonde toning drops). I recommend flash shipping, it's like $10 a year and your order arrives quickly. I also have a Sephora play subscription, that's hit or miss, PM me if you have questions about it. Sephora... Where do I begin. I am a play box subscriber and wanted to purchase a full size product. Obviously, NO ONE there knew what was in the box. I knew what I wanted. Well after that was taken care of I needed some foundation. I asked the lady to point me in that direction. She got another employee that was a beauty consultant. They asked a few minimal questions, none of which what is my skin type (dry, oily) and they assumed I had no experience with make.....(I can airbrush my own makeup if I want, I have the set up) so after me taking my makeup off, and them putting some hand held device to my neck (no one has cleaned this thing before or after they used it on me) the beauty consultant grabbed a color OF THEIR MOST EXPENSIVE FOUNDATION (unknown to me no one asked me what my price range was) and reached in her sling bag and pulled out a makeup brush (I have no clue if this thing is or has been cleaned between customers!!!!) and she uses it on my face! I will just continue to buy my makeup on their website. The employees are rude, the store is too small and the hygiene there is unacceptable to the public! read more

Did a makeover/consultation with Greg on a busy Friday night. He was fantastic! Easy-going, knowledgeable and sincere. He spent a lot of time with me thinking about what would work best for my skin type and teaching me how to use the different products. It was a lot of fun and I really liked what he did with my make up! I find Sephora and similar stores to be completely overwhelming, so to have his guidance picking out everything from skin care to make up to brushes was invaluable. This is not a review of JC Penny but one about the Sephora located inside. Got a gift set of sample cologne that you could try and then take the one in that you liked most and redeem for a bottle. Went to the Sephora in JC Penney and was told that you couldn't redeem there and had to go to a main store. Went over to the main store in Kenwood Mall only to be told that they don't carry Prada men's cologne at the location and I would have to go to the location inside JC Penny to redeem. Wtf! Is this the same company or different all together. Why would you ever have a guest leave one location to go clear across town to another. This is ridiculous and there needs to be some clarity amongst employees. I ended up getting the 1.3 YSL instead of the 1.7 bottle of Prada that I truly loved all because I had no other options. I usually shop at the Sephora on Fields Ertel Road in the JCPenny, but I wanted a little more selection so I went to this location. I went in looking for a good foundation. I am new to using makeup and have yet to find a good foundation. When I went in there was a greater at the front of the store, but I was not greated. I found that odd but I ignored it and started to look around. As I stated previously I am new to wearing makeup so I have no idea where to start. So I start to look at the foundations hoping that someone will come over and see if I need help. While I was in there I noticed that all of the associates where standing behind the counter talking and just looking around and not doing anything at all. I spend the next 20 minutes or so just looking at all of the different foundations with no one approaching me and asking if I need help. I then start trying some on the back of my hand to see if the color is right for my skin tone, while doing this I happened to glance up at the counter and noticed that one of the associates look at me and roll her eyes. I was shocked! I quickly cleaned off the back of my hand and left. As I was leaving the greater just looked at me and ignored me. I could have understood the lack of customer service if they were busy but they were not at all and I was one of the only customers in the store at the time.
