Stopped by the Sephora store inside Sky View Center this afternoon after buying groceries. This location has most of the popular makeup/skincare/fragrance/haircare/body care brands just like any other Sephora in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Spacious and clean, aisles aren't narrow and easy to walk through. Conveniently located from the 7 train about a 8-10 min walking distance to get there. I don't know if it's usually crowded on the weekends, but today's Tuesday (a weekday) so it's pretty quiet and peaceful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Tried out on different lipgloss balm and lip plumber shades before deciding which one(s) to buy. Not too many shades to choose from for lipgloss balm, as there're only a few less popular shades left. However, I manage to pick 03 Tan Lines (gold and copper shimmer) & 58 Cinnamon Toast (rosy nude shimmer) for lipgloss balm to blend with 7 Pink Pout (lip plumber) to mix, match & create a new shade. Finished paying for these products in 3 minutes since there's no line.

I've seen Japanese, Korean, and Chinese so far in facial care and hair care. And BB creams! What a selection of BB creams! The staff here was very helpful too. They approach and ask every now and then to make sure potential customers aren't lost and confused (might feel awkward if you're just browsing). I bought some sunscreen here and they gave toner/emulsion samples. (I like freebies =D.)

The sales lady approached me and asked me in Chinese if I needed any help but when i told her i didn't understand she spoke to me in English. I told her i didn't need any assistance yet she kept following me around for a bit. This made me uncomfortable and it was easy to tell that I was nervous and awkward, but i know she was following me because I probably came off as some creepy shop lifter or something(I kept browsing and picking up things and I had to check my money in my bag discreetly). That's one thing, you have to know what you want to buy before entering so they can take you seriously, this goes for a lot of cosmetic stores in flushing. They have a large selection of eyeliners, bb creams, skin care products, eyelashes, powders, face masks, skin care etc. What drew me into the store was the bb creams. In the glass window display at the left side of the store, you could see all the brands of bb creams like skin79, lioele, missha etc.. They sell the REAL Skin79 hot pink triple functions bb cream for $30, which is cheaper than fashion city's price, but it definitely be cheaper to buy online. They also have many powders and compacts, I saw that they had some lioele compacts, blushes and bronzers and other asian brands as well. They have so much eyeliner! There was a whole wall/rack of it in the back right hand corner. I bought the MSH eyescream gel liner which was $20.00.I asked her if they had gel eyeliner and she recommended this one stating that she had even used it on her eyes that day. They even had Dolly wink products : eyeliners,eye-shadow palettes, eyelashes + lashes case. The Dolly wink eyeliner was $18-22 dollars which is cheaper than Belle's Beauty lab in the Queen crossings mall next to mango(which sold for $25). It's a great store with a large variety of Asian cosmetics :)

It's been around for a long time now (more than 3 years), and I thought I wrote a review about the place, but here we go again! Downstairs is your spacious, organized beauty supply store: from nail care to hair care, to wigs and other random beauty supply. Upstairs is a Nail and Hair Salon. The nail salon portion are run by Chinese folks and are a very friendly female bunch. Pricing is pretty decent. Actually, I think this is the only nail salon in Main Street Flushing (unless someone can correct me otherwise). Oh, the massage chairs for the pedicures are very comfy. The hair salon portion are run by Koreans. The hair stylists have changed over the past year, but somehow, there's always a Jenny working there. They take walk-ins and also do appointments (I like to walk in there often, never made an appointment). Jenny was a really good consultant and knew what was best for my hair (I needed conditioning treatment). There was a new protein product for deep conditioning treatment that I opted for. My hair felt so soft when it was done. Jenny was also a great stylist (I never really knew how to style my wavy hair since the first salon I when to made it look 70s-ish). I so didn't wanna wash my hair later..... TL;DR Great beauty supply store, nice nail salon, awesome hair salon!
