I needed (yes, needed) some eyebrow gel, so I stopped into this Sephora at the Fashion Mall at Keystone. A kind woman with perfect eyebrows directed me to areas of the store where I could find eyebrow gel, and also let me sample two different kinds. After applying the eyebrow gel onto my unruly eyebrows to see which one would tame my face the most, I found the product I've been searching for. Hooray! I love when problems solve themselves within five minutes time, and with a little help from a stranger with perfect brows. The store is super organized and clean and nicely lit. Most of my visits to the Sephora @ the Fashion Mall are great. This location has a great variety, typically pretty friendly and helpful staff, and the location is convenient and close to other stores I enjoy. My last visit was not as great, the store was busy and understandably I was not able to grab an employee to help. I located my items ( 2) and jumped in line. I was unlucky enough to get a team member at the register who was the most unfriendly person. I first attempted to be polite and was met with abrasive and short responses. I, understanding that not everyone wants to be chatty, limited my responses to her questions instead, and her service grew even more cold. Had a return from an online purchase so drove an hour and a half to the Sephora at the Keystone Fashion Mall. Although it was less than 30 days since I received the item, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive, telling me that the 30 day return policy had expired. It's not my fault that the USPS didn't mail it to me quickly, and I returned it within 30 days of receiving it. ​Regardless of logistics, this manager was shamefully rude to me. I'm an older woman and her behavior was loud, infantile, unprofessional, and bordering on abusive. How does someone like that get to be a manager? read more

I never went in this place before Xmas but a friend told me they also carry product for men. And sometimes at a better price than department stores. Last time I went in, they wouldn't let you touch the sample colognes, they now let you. They were moving things, it seemed for men colognes the selection was smaller than before. I just had such a great experience at the Sephora in the Fashion Mall at Keystone. I have been on the hunt for a specific Sephora concealer for weeks. The gel Sephora concealer in the shade Buttercream, 04, is my perfect shade and they've been out of stock for a while. But I'm very open to trying other brands, however I didn't know where to start so I found a team member to help me. I believe her name was Raven and she was so sweet and helpful and took the time and effort to find a color that truly matched what I was looking for (or at least the closest we could get). I am also on the spectrum so I have a hard time talking to people and asking for help and raven made me feel very comfortable and she was very sweet and easy to talk to. They were out of quite a few shades since it's right after the holidays, but she still found me a really nice concealer and took the time to email me a list of shades in different brands that matched me so I know what to look for when there is more in stock. I had a very weird encounter. I am a teenager girl and usually we are sterotyped to be stealing. I was shopping around and had got stuff but put them back. I never felt I looked suspicious. This lady was following me around and whenever I went to a different sections (lets say skincare to makeup) she would speed walk to wear I was and hawk-eye me. I love makeup. I spend a lot of my time watching beauty content on YouTube, and I find makeup to be a creative and therapeutic outlet for me. Unfortunately this Sephora was no such experience for me. I'll start off with a positive and say that the crew members that greeted me up front were nice, and I even briefly talked to one about the new Rare Beauty launch while waiting to go in the store. Once I got inside, it was a different story. I completely understand their policy about not touching the displays of makeup and not having tester of skincare out. However, my friend picked up a roller ball from a display of perfumes, and was instantly berated. The employee that told her to put it back was rude about the situation. Why have those out if you aren't allowed to touch them? She didn't pull down her mask to smell the perfume, and glass/plastic bottles can easily be sanitized. A few minutes later I ask for a sample of a hair care product only to be told they were unable to give one to me. This goes against their usual policy of allowing up to 3 samples per visit. In comparison, Lush gave me a sample of a scalp oil without me even having to ask! Sephora couldn't even give me a perfume sample. Since they couldn't give me a sample of a perfume to try out, I asked if they could spritz my wrist because perfume can smell different on your body as opposed to paper. Even that was not allowed. Instead I was handed a dripping wet perfume sample paper to the rub on my wrist. I'm all for covid safety measures, but this is just ridiculous, especially when the same employee was the one checking me out at the register. This is easily the least welcoming Sephora I've been to. As a beauty/makeup junkie, I hit this location up whenever I need to see, touch, or smell products of interest. Everything I've wanted has always been in stock. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I've gotten my makeup done twice here and have been satisfied with my results. This visit was for the new Fenty collection. Michelle immediately greeted me when I entered the store. She is also the one that matched my foundation and did a full Fenty face using a variety of products. She was very knowledgeable about the brand, which I've found to be the same for all of my visits. When finished, she quickly gathered the products I was interested in and placed them in a tote for me. Checkout was quick and easy. read more

Sephora and I have a love hate relationship. They love my Amex, and I hate my bill. This location happens to be in the middle of Keystone at the Crossing Fashion Mall, which alone poses it on inherent trials and tribulations of traffic and parking, especially during the weekends. This store, depending on the number of people shopping, can either seems to small or sized just right. Given the amount of product and space, they capitalize on everything available to them. The store is laid out based on category, which makes it easy to find the product that you are looking for. The store is well maintained and extremely clean. Generally I tend to avoid going to the physical store and ordering online, but sometimes I need to venture out to pickup last minute items. One nice feature, when it works, is that Sephora offers is that you can search the stores inventory to see if a product is in stock prior to driving out there. I have found that this can be hit or miss and it might be best to call and verify with the store, especially if it is a must wanted item. read more

Sephora is my mother ship. I go there and I'm at peace among eye shadow, fragrance, clay masks and nail polish. Apparently I am so at home here I am now hold a VIB card.... which is a loyalty card that grants you early access to sales, a free makeover, seasonal VIB only free gifts, and private shopping events. I use the free gifts as gifts for my friends and family or as travel sized beauty items. The free stuff doesn't stop there... make sure you ask for fragrance samples. I'm always on the look out for a new fragrance and it's so nice to test drive it for a bit. The sample bottles they use are perfect for travel too. The staff is always very helpful and cheery. I don't feel pressured into buying something like I do at a department store. My only complaint is that sometimes I feel that items at Sephora stay on the shelves a little too long for their appropriate lifetime... most specifically the nail polish. So beware. But they have an excellent return policy, so it will only be a minor inconvenience if you do come across something expired. read more

I am visiting Indiana from Austin and while at The Fashion Mall decided to, once again, try to find that perfect shade of lipstick. We were greeted by Joanna while we were in the store. This woman spent 45 minutes assisting me with finding THE lipstick that I wanted. I pulled up an image with the shade that I wanted to achieve. Joanna advised me about the difference in skin tones between me and the model in the photo I showed her. She tirelessly went through the whole store and did everything she could to find me what I wanted. After I picked up a basket, I went in search of someone to help me. I approached 4 different employees who smiled at me and then asked the person next to me or walking behind me if THEY needed help. Your staff saw me, but made a decision not to engage me. I can't shopt at Sephora without apparently blacking out and buying way more than I intended. I like makeup. I LOVE eyeshadow and i adore everything bright and vibrant. Sephora has Makeup Forever eyeshadow. That stuff is so highly pigmented and dazzling that it looks like the manufacturers kidnapped a rainbow, held it hostage, and froced it to bleed color into tubes of powder. You just cannot beat the stuff. I started wearing it and abandoned MAC. MAC, i have forsaken you in favor of MUFE....away with thee! My review is going to be kind of simple. I needed to return a purchase that I actually made at the Greenwood location. I was in the area though so I inquire with this location to see if they would do they could do the exchange. Over the phone Ashley was very helpful about what they will be a willing to do and once I got in a store Ashley was very helpful. She even arranged that I had a color check to make sure my foundation matched! The foundation I originally came in with was actually the wrong color go figure! This experience is good and bad. First, good. The women who attended to me in the store was very helpful!! I wanted a foundation and she helped me pick the correct color. However, they were out of stock and she wanted to make sure that I was able to get a hold of it. Even if I had to order it online, she provided me with free shipping. Next bad. I have been waiting for this color to come in....for almost a week. I was told that it would come in on Tuesday. My free shipping online runs on in two days. So I am either going to have to make another trip to the store or I am going to have to pay $6 in shipping when I already went to the store. Terrible experience at this place. Let me start by saying I usually go to ulta because it's cheaper and closer to me. But i do like sephora's products so I stop at the Carmel one once in awhile. The other day i was at keystone at the crossing and decided to stop in. I was browsing the makeup for awhile and grabbed a few things and then moved back to the skincare section, when i got back there a male employee asked if i needed any help, and i just explained i was looking around. I am someone who takes my time picking things out, so a lot of the time employees come up to me and ask if i need help, which is fine. The issue was he stood behind me the whole time staring at me with a rude look on his face and started to follow me around. I'm not sure if he thought i was stealing maybe? It turned me off enough that i decided to check out and leave. After checking out a few employees stopped me at the door, one of them was the same guy. And he had asked me why i spent so much time looking around the skincare section without buying anything. Im sorry, am i not allowed to browse? I do most of my Sephora shopping online but this is a nice store with a great selection. I shop online because of the great deals and freebies I get with my purchases. If you have never visited you should know that Sephora has an excellent return policy, if you are not happy with your product bring it back.. used half of it, no problem. Don't like how that mascara clumps your lashes, bring it back. Plus my favorite part is see something you like but are not fully committed to the purchase? Ask for a free sample! Let me begin by saying that I've been in several Sephora stores over the years....dating back to the late 80s when I frequented the original Paris location. I'm not throwing that out there to sound like a snob, but to set the stage for this review. Yikes! I agree with Holly H., the cleanliness of this store is scary....where is Tabatha from Salon Takeover, even though it's not a salon, this place could use her help! True the product selection is amazing, but that's Sephora's trademark so why shouldn't it be? Check out their stores in larger cities such as San Francisco and the Indy store will come off as a mere kiosk of cosmetic heaven! So, why is it that all the testers and display areas look so sloppy, dusty and well, downright yucky?? I went in to purchase a Smashbox item and would have loved to try some other products, but I didn't feel confident doing so. Also, I pretty much was on my own and was never once greeted or asked if I needed assistance. This is sad, because I tend to be such an easy sell when it comes to fragrant potions and pots of color. The gentleman who took my money was friendly enough, but nobody in the store seemed very ambitious, so I left with ONLY that one item in my bag! read more

I loved my first experience at Sephora. Yes, yes....I'm a fashion enthusiast and I love make-up but I'm scared of the mall. I like to shop simply and easily and this place is covered inch upon inch in make-up options!! I enjoyed my experience working with a girl who had green eyeliner on the top and purple on the bottom though I would not personally try that look! She gave me a tutorial on highlighting and contouring and I've been using Smashbox contour kit ever since! I really liked the things I bought and I still have a little cash on my Sephora card, so I probably need to go back! Then she made up my face with the different options, suggesting different products to go with them but not pushing any particular product. I was one of three customers in the store and asked for help getting a foundation shade match. I was told that they would have someone come help me. When I walked towards the direction they directed me to, one of the employees asked another if they heard the call for the foundation match. The other employee said "No, I'm not doing it, you can tell them to go home". I was standing less than 4 feet from them. You would think they would be more discrete about their hatred of having to do their jobs. I called customer service and was left on hold forever, then called the store and was told that their manager couldn't take phone calls. read more

This is my favorite store to go to when it comes to buying makeup, specifically designer and luxurious brands. The associates are usually on top of their game and can handle any and all questions. I've come in here several times and left with wonderful products that were great for my skin, all because I talked to them and listened to their advice. And that means a lot coming from me, because I've always hated talking to salesmen and am a "just looking around" type of girl. But really - open up and ask questions, because this is the only store I actually have faith in their product knowledge, lol. At Ulta, you get quite a few blank stares and best guesses. But at least at Sephora, if they don't know how to help you, they'll ask another associate or at least give you other resources. That goes a long way. read more

I like this Sephora mostly for the customer service. With any Sephora, it always tends to be crowded which I don't like. And the associates get overwhelmed helping every customer. Anyhow, I had one really positive experience with an associate here. I was looking for a specific eyeshadow color in Urban Decay. I flagged down a busy associate, apologizing as I knew she was busy. But she smiled and said she'd help me out after she was done with that customer. After she came over, she went through so many eye shadows with me to try to find one comparable to the one I wanted as Urban Decay only made it in one of the Naked palettes. She took time the compare many eye shadows with me. She even went to other brands and tried to find similar colors. She was so helpful even though I know she was really busy. Went yesterday for a CMA appointment at 1230p. I was taken right away and went to pick my lashes. The lady who did me was kind and listened. I did think she used the colors I requested but it was too light and my brows were not done evenly. It looked good but not great. I reminded her three times about my lashes. When she was basically done she then advised me another person would be doing my lashes and she requested the person to come over. I've had my makeup done many times at lots of sephora locations and that was a first. I admit second person applied them well just strange, I also loved her brows and secretly wished my brows were done similarly, I got a brow wiz and touched mine up.
