Came here to peruse for some beauty basics and perfume. This store is well stocked with beauty, skin, perfume, appliances (blow dryers, curling irons, etc.) . There were plenty of sales associates to assist you. The perfume section is by far one of the best in or out of a department store. For almost every perfume they have on site, they have a tester that you can sample to ensure you get a scent that is great for you. Although there was a line, checkout was seamless and the associated were pleasant. All in all, good store to go to get perfume which you can sample before you buy. read more

Definitely the worst Sephora. You may or may not get assistance. I have been here twice in the past two months for fragrance. No one greets you and they definitely don't help. This is the best Sephora location in the DMV area. The service is great. I always have a warm greeting when I come in and someone is always willing to help me. Whether it's a fragrance suggestion or insights about cosmetics, I always enter with a smile and leave with a smile. I also love the new look. I walked into this location just now, and barely received a greeting. I asked the lady on my right by the makeup application station if someone could assist me I need quite a few items. I am getting married this weekend, and needed to restock my makeup. She radioed someone, so I thought I would get some assistance. NOPE . I literally was standing in the aisle waiting. Then I walked around the store looking at items. No one asked if I needed help finding anything, do you need a shade match or nothing. The typical question you ask customers who come into a makeup store. No just waiting, and wandering. I was prepared to spend a lot of money to ensure my wedding appearance is perfect, but I will spend my coin elsewhere. The customer service at this location is terrible. I guess I'll make my way around the corner to Ulta, see if they know how to better treat their customers. read more

I really dislike going in here. I've never been given the time of day, you're lucky if you're actually helped. I asked for a foundation match for a foundation with a huge shade range (which is why I needed the match...) and the woman who was "helping" me tried literally only two of them and then said "Yeah your skin just doesn't work with this foundation unfortunately" and walked away. I showed up to the counter with a foundation shade from that brand which I had to swatch myself and she said "Guess you found one that works after all!" Like...yeah no thanks to you. I just left today after wandering around for genuinely 30 minutes waiting to hear from either of the three staff that went to "check" if my perfume was in stock. Spoiler alert, it wasn't. Customer service STILL sucks here. Walk in no one really in the store ask for where a specific product is she just points across the store. I eventually find it. Go to check out and there's no cashier. Stand there and wait. No one comes. Look around no staff to be found in eyesight. Put it back go to walk out the door the 3 staff members are all on their phones in a huddle. As I'm walking out one says "can I help you?" No, not now. Don't recommend. read more

I want to warn people of their credit card. After applying and receiving a card I tried to make a payment over the phone. O call the number on my Paperwork I received when I was approved for the card. I sent well over 20 minutes on the phone, was asked numerous times for the same question. I requested my balance and never received and the service person hung up when I asked for the 5th time. I suggest that you not get a credit card and experience the poor service and frustrating circle of questions I received. read more

I haven't been to Sephora in years and that's because I'm not the let's go to the mall girl so you can only imagine how happy I was when I found out Sephora would be opening in the neighborhood. I walked in on a quiet day and a young lady attended to me. She was so kind and patient. She explained the products to me and I made my decision on what products to buy. When leaving a different lady at the register was also so nice and because it was my birthday she asked me to select from two gifts Sephora was offering. I selected the facial night routine product. When I got home and tried the sample product I was very happy with it. It made my skin feel so nice and smooth. I highly recommend Sephora in Owings Mills!!! read more

Sephora offers great incentives and sales at times. Most of their staff are knowledgeable but will try and sell you products you may not necessarily need. I do appreciate the inventory they provide and it helps that I can get what I need right away instead of having to wait for it to come in the mail. read more

I was shopping at another store when I seen the black and white.. I said to myself could this be!!!!, yes!!! It's a freestanding Sephora! And it's huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited! I went in just to browse but ummm that did not happen. I was like a kid in a candy store. There was so much to explore... you can actually touch items... smell perfume and cologne whereas many places now you can not , so I was pleasantly surprised and Impressed! The sales associate said my eyes were twinkling like a kid in the candy store. The staff was so friendly, and helpful! I actually love that it's not in a mall , it's so convenient to just walk up grab and go!! With out the hassle was mall parking and the annoyance of a crowd. Shout out to Sara, Lindsey and Jei!! Beautiful store, wonderful staff! I wanted to be the first to review, but it's fine that another Yelp sis beat me to it. This store is unique to the Baltimore area because it's located at an outdoor complex-Mill Run ( site of the former mall). So no need trek through hallway after hallway to find the store. Just park in the ample lot, and dash in for some of your favorite high end beauty. The inside of the store is glorious. Much better organized than Towson or Columbia, but what do you expect in a spankin' new store. The skin and hair care is to the right of the store and not stuffed in the back like a poor neglected stepchild. As a former esthetician I know that great skin is the best foundation to a "beat face" any day! All three staff members were helpful, yet did not pressure. Thanks to Justin, Ashely, and the blonde cutie whose name escapes me. I did make a few purchases. My Glow Recipe toner was out, but the service was so awesome, I won't hold it against them. Please avoid. There's no staff on the floor to help. They avoid customers and don't care to assist with any concerns or issues. If you want a fragrance, be prepared to wait 30+ minutes to get it. Next time, I'll drive to another Sephora. By the way, you're lucky if there's even one associate at the front checking you out. I was not told the last four of the card number that was used or which card the purchase was done on so I just used a card that was in my Apple wallet after getting the receipt. I realized that wasn't the actual card that I had used for the purchase. I told the cashier that I wanted to know if we could reverse the return so that I could avoid it so that I could use the correct card that the purchase was made one. She told me she had to get the manager. The manager came and told me that she could not post avoid because someone else had been helped after me. I explained to her that because it was returned to the wrong card. I was not gonna be able to receive the refund because it's a one time used card and I would basically be out of the money. She let me know there's nothing that she can do and maybe I should just try calling the card company. I let her know that that was not going to be my solution because I know how the card works and I really needed the transaction to be voided. Again, she just said there's nothing she could do and left me with no solution. I would hate to think that there is only one solution to a problem. Especially when it comes to a customer losing money for a product, they've returned just because your system doesn't allow a void. There should be other procedures in place to accommodate issues such as these. I'm really disappointed that I'm now out of the money for the return because there was no solution from the store and how it was handled with no interest to the customer. It's shuttering to think a company can't think of other solutions to meet customers needs!! Beware of returning and make sure they tell you which card was used before making the return!! read more

This initially stated out with 2 stars, it's now 4!!I went on Saturday hoping to purchase Fenty Beauty blurring foundation and the eye brightener. There was a young girl wearing a long dark wig in the store who basically had no color matching skills at all. All the colors she recommended to me were way off from my skin tone. To top it all off she definitely seemed nervous about getting close to me with our masks on. I told her I was vaccinated and had tested negative for Covid that morning (I'm a nurse who tests frequently) I ended up fending for myself and decided just to give up. They really don't help anyone in the store, just basically stand around and talk to each other. The customers just milled around and shopped for themselves. I stayed in the store about 46 minutes. The store is nice and spacious. I did spend $200 on other things that I needed. The customer service was a 3, so I'll probably stick with Towson unless they hire more seasoned makeup personnel. I'm also a Sephora junkie, as I own an extensive makeup and skin care collection and probably knew more about their products than they did. The cashier was really nice. The date of my visit was 5/22/2021. I have been back twice since that day , as I believe in redemption for most places (not all). Customer service has improved VASTLY! The energy there is so much better. The artists offer you assistance now and the cashiers have been great! Awesome job on turning things around. Customer service at this location is the worst. I booked a make up session, I was going to a wedding. After I arrived, I told a representative that I was waiting for my make up session, she continued to do what she was doing, I imagined she called to someone to start my make up session, I specifically told her that I did not have time to spare since traffic to the wedding was really bad. After waiting for a few more minutes, I went back to her and she told me she was coming, by then already 20 mins went by, then she came and when she asked me what color was my dress, I told her it was burgundy, I was wearing a top with that color. I asked to do my eye shadow with a similar color. She told me she can't do it, it will have to be with earth tones, like an everyday eyeshadow since I booked a 60 min. session ($60). I told her: 1) I do not have the time 2) I did not want a lot of make up in my face and that is the reason why I booked only a 30 min. session, I just want something that will look nice with 2 colors in the eye shadow, one of them burgundy. She said if I want other color than just the plain skin color or brown I will have to pay $30 dollars more. Ridiculous! I should be able to get a 2 tone colors with the colors I want. Then she went towards the back , told me she will find someone else to do my make up and by then it was 30 mins lost. I was so upset that I had tears, what a ridiculous woman.
