Was here shopping with a friend. I was tired and tried to sit in 1 of 4 empty chairs while I waited for my friend to finish shopping in their store. One of their beauty advisors told me those chairs are for people who need services only so I'd have to go sit outside of the store and find a place to sit. So 4 empty chairs with no one asking for service but they won't allow a customer to sit in. Oh but also I was told that they are more than happy to accept tips now at Sephora so you wanna give them a little something in cash... WTF! Do better Sephora! read more

I went to Sephora and tried to return and exchange items that I purchased. The one I was exchanging was damaged and one that I returned did not work for me. The lady at the register went on about how the product I did not want worked well for her and that I must be using it improperly. Then, she tries to charge me for that item, not put the money beck onto my card. When I tried to explain to her I was returning the item and not purchasing she responded very rudely. Once she finally worked out the return I asked if there was anything I needed to sign and she said no and rushed me out. I left with both the customer and store copy. Some staff are great, but some staff specifically Janiris are very rude. If you want to go in the store to look at products sure but I would just order online to avoid dealing with the rude team members. One bad apple can spoil the bunch. If Janiris treats customers in such a rude manner I can only imagine how she treats team members. I also noticed that she represents the store on their instagram account which leads me to believe that the entire store needs to be trained on correct customer service/customer engagement if they believe she is a good representative of the brand. I had approximately $200 worth skincare and make up products at the checkout counter but because of her lack of customer service while assisting me with the checkout process, I opted to purchase the items online instead. Now I see why this store is not as busy as it used to be. If you would like superior service, go to department store makeup counters where they know how to treat their clients. I only provided two stars because of some of the other staff that were great, specifically the tall dark haired gentleman. read more

I would give this store -5 stars if I could. Honestly have had a terrible experience every time I go in here, and I will stop shopping at Sephora because of this location. I've had so many problems here, but my most recent one sent me over the edge. I bought something HERE. Came back to return it with the receipt and all the pieces the next day because it truly didn't work for me, and they wouldn't take it. They embarrassed me in front of other employees and customers. They told me I would have to go to another Sephora to return it. Why?? I bought it from you guys!! At that location!! The short fat blonde girl with a Starbucks drink in her hand was so rude. I love Sephora and was hooked on it a few years ago after going there following an unsatisfactory Ulta experience. Sephora carries middle to high end products from well known cosmetic brands. They have a variety of products in store for make up, skin care, perfume, hair, nail, and other beauty needs. They offer mini beauty classes (20 min ish- check website for upcoming events) on topics like quick Smokey eye, contouring, applying falsies, etc. This is really helpful for those just getting into make up or just trying to perfect some skills. Their beauty study offers 60 min full make overs with a $50 purchase and free for Sephora rogue members (top tier of their rewards program). If you join the rewards program, "beauty insider" (free), you get a free gift in your birthday month plus you earn points for every purchase that can be redeemed for sample size products. You also can request 2 samples each time u shop in store or online. I prefer online shopping. U can get two day free shipping you are a rogue member or u can pay $10/yr. Jama and her team are hands down my favorite MUA in here and do a great job with teaching during your makeover. read more

I've given this place chance after chance. Unsatisfying experience every time. Absolutely ridiculous. Rude and unknowledgeable staff. Worst service ever. Not only were they not helpful but the white employees stalked me in the store while I was browsing and didn't even bother to ask me if I needed any service. The woman I spoke to about buying a brush was condescending as well. The only woman who was helpful was an Asian woman. Five years ago when I moved to Pensacola, I used to drive to Destin Sephora Store or order online. Now we have it here. The store is great, customer service is top notch! I had an item that I bought long time ago, and wanted to exchange for the same one. It took them five minutes from the minute I walked to the store, excellent customer service! It is nice to have the store locally, so when you look at the mascara or eyeshadow on their website, and have doubts, you can always go and check the store to make up your mind. I stopped by the store today to get some more makeup and skin care products! The girls were all so knowledgeable and helpful! Jama, the senior makeup artist was absolutely amazing! She gave me a makeover and went over all the products with me and the benefits of them as well! We went for a glam, artistic look and I absolutely loved it! This specific Sephora has a horrible staff. I've always had issues with them but never when I pick out my own makeup. I have dry skin and I can not wear anything matte or very long wear because my skin will get dry and patchy. I asked a lady if she had any recommendations for foundations for dry skin. She goes "smashbox" (which don't get me wrong is a decent brand but wait) she picks a foundation and says she's going to color match it to my neck, she slaps on a couple dots on my neck and cheek but doesn't bother blending it out. So I procede to take off the foundation I already had on, and apply the smashbox one. My skin won't blend it out and I'm getting frustrated because the girl put four random dots on my face then left, I look in the mirror and the foundation is oxidizing and turning my face orange and patchy, so I turn around the label for the foundation says "longwear foundation suitable for oily skin" I was so upset I had SPECIFICALLY asked for a foundation for dry skin. This specific employee shouldn't have been hired if she can't even match a foundation for dry skin. This specific Sephora location should consider evaluating their employees actual makeup skills and read more

The worst staff of all time. It's like a group of high school snobs. I was treated like I was in the way. Asking questions was an inconvenience and I got NO help - in TWO visits. First visit I spent $150 and the second visit I spent $90. I've since gone to Ultra and was actually helped by someone who was knowledgable and helpful - I dropped $475 getting things I felt informed about. Quit sucking at your job, ladies. read more

The service you get here is either top notch or the lowest of the low. I've been in numerous times and been excited to talk to the girls who work there who are as knowledgeable and passionate about make up as I am. But then, there are the girls who make me never want to go back... Who immediately are judging you and acting like you don't know what you're talking about or act insulted when you say you only support cruelty-free brands. I love Sephora to me it's the creme da la creme of makeup stores. I love the array of products they carry versus Ulta. With that being said I HATE my Sephora in Pensacola due to the employee's. I have to say the ones who usually check me out are friendly(I'm going to name drop and say Xena is super sweet) though. I have tried to get them to swatch me and talk to me about foundations but obviously that's not their job title because they refer me over to the makeup artist section unfortunately that is when my experience goes down hill. I have been three times and experienced three different employees and they have all been horrible! All three times I was wanting samples of foundations the first I asked hey what are your favorite foundations and I was told oh I have quite a few but they are kind of hard to match so I'm not going to try to match you with those like really wtf isn't that you job! My skin isn't really pale or dark my skin isn't that hard to match. I walked away with a foundation that was too yellow and the artist admitted it a sant a perfect match but sent me on my way and made me feel like they just gave up. The second time the girl was so rude and made me feel like they were in such a hurry...she swiped one foundation on my face and decided it was a match and sent me on my way I came home and tried it and it was very orange and too dark. She didn't even try! The third time same thing made me feel like they helping me find a color match was the most difficult job on Earth! These people are unfriendly and lazy and in the wrong field of work! I go to Ulta now because their staff is way more knowledgeable and friendly! read more
