The service there was amazing, it was very packed but the girls were super helpful and nice and let me just talk their ears off. Their names were Jelina, who helped me get some really pretty smelling perfumes (she said it was her first day on the floor and i was in shock because she was so nice and knew what she was talking about!! super sweet!!) There was Choan who did my mothers hair and it turned out wonderful, and she was very nice and funny!! She shared her love of her cat with me while I shared my love for mine :)!! The last lady was Crystalyn, she did my hair and it turned out beautifully, i really liked it and she let me talk the entire time, and normally I'm very anxious but she was just a very welcoming person so I just chatted the entire way. These girls were the sweetest and made the stressful night of black friday seem like any other day!! I've always come here and been treated well and nicely, but I decided to finally leave a review. Walked in for a bang trim .. got seated w Tara - I specifically asked her if she's confident cutting curtain bangs - she said yes. What is this?. I use to be in the hair industry; this is absolutely horrific. Uneven sides. Didn't even separate the bang properly prior to cutting. Most uncomfortable facial I've ever had. I've been getting facials from ulta for over a decade. It was always a wonderful experience where I used to live. I moved to Pensacola and booked a facial, no where does it say that they did away with the private rooms and put a hair stylist chair out in the salon. Bright lights and people walking by stopping and watching!!! You thought getting your hair washed at a stylist's sink was bad..... it felt like she spent most if the time just rubbing my face and nothing else.... When it finally came to the microblading I noticed later that evening at home that she missed spots! For the money I spent... to come home with half/a.... Facial and feeling more stressed and uncomfortableness... NOT WORTH my hard earned dollars. read more

Don't like giving bad reviews it may not apply to all stylist. I will say I don't think I'll return to Ulta so called salon. My first time die to it being on a Sunday and needed a simple style done. My appt was scheduled. Upon arrival and being greeted I explained stylist what I was wanting and left it to her discretion or expertise. She looked up on phone and kept glancing as I saw what she was doing, It started to be disappointing and never showed me the pic. Overall long story short after 3 attempts none which were promising she went back , 2nd stylist stayed my stylist was new, 2nd stylist middle man as she stated, 3rd stylist looking on and busy came to the rescue. Finally I wanted to cry very frustrating, told the stylist just curl hair in back and give it a lift. 77$ after done and 1+ hour which 20$ was discounted and a style was not of profession. 3rd stylist at least helped improve my make up. Very disappointed and very costly and did not deliver. I'm still in awe and handled poorly. Others appeared to be doing good job with highlights, perhaps this is their do good work. read more

Ive been purchasing a shampoo called Pattern from Ulta. The last purchase was WATERED DOWN! Have you ever purchased a squeeze tube of shampoo that poured out the end if you tilted it? The last of my PATTERN conditioner was much thicker than the new product also!!! Personally, I don't get ripped off quietly! I called PATTERN, they offered me a 15% discount on my next purchase.... I'm sorry I ever walked into Ulta here in the Milton/Pace are of Florida. The staff are rude, not very helpful, and they have a tendency to bate and switch up their prices when it comes to any hair services. They tell you one price, and then by the time your done you've been charged three times!! Particularly with ONE of the stylist there. I will never have my hair or my daughters hair done there again. I would recommend Linda at Head to Toe on Berryhill road. At least they give you a price and that is what you pay at the end of the service. Paying off my card and ripping it up for Ulta! I have been coming to this Ulta for years. I love shopping here. Has all the new stuff out and is my go to spot for my husbands haircare and skincare. However, my most recent visit left me upset. I entered the store on my lunch break in my Sephora uniform to pick up some of my usuals I love but we don't sell. An event was going on in the front and I walked right through and no one greeted me or said anything. Not a big deal, but since you had to walk through the event to get into the store, it was uncomfortable and unwelcoming when no one acknowledges you. A customer approaches me once I left the event space and said, "You're kind of a traitor, aren't you?" I was appalled, didn't say anything, and continued my shopping. I asked a tall young man with pink hair where the men's stuff was and he looked me up and down and said, "I'm not telling you. You work for the enemy." And walked away. I was so shocked, I didn't even know what to do. I just kept walking around until I found the jack black stuff for my husband. Three separate customers even stopped me and asked if I could help them, and I had to tell them I didn't even work there. That's how unhelpful this staff is. The only people that were nice and welcoming to me were the tall bald man with the acrylics and and young brunette cashier. This man has been nice to me for years. He's one of the main reasons I keep coming back. I don't know, the whole experience made me feel super uneasy, but I will continue to shop here. read more

My review is more about the employees than anything else. I actually opened this store ten years ago and worked there for three years with an amazing team of people, and while I understand that things and policies change I have been really disappointed the last couple of years going into both the Pensacola and the Pace store. Most recently was last week. I was meeting a friend there and when I located her in the Too Faced area, I was shocked to see her being helped by what I assumed was a random customer, as they were dressed in sweatpants, sneakers, and a tiny T-shirt that was riding up in the front and back. But nope, it was an employee. I realize that the attire has changed since I worked there (we were required to wear all black, dressy casual) but this was just too much. I have noticed other employees either ignore, stare but not greet anyone, or even just walking or standing around looking at their phones (obviously on the clock as they were wearing their name tag and periodically putting an item on the shelf). On the same day as sweatpants girl employee, the cashier was rude to me when I asked about using my points after he had hit total telling me I should have told him before (I had). I rarely ever complain as I worked in retail for 20 years and I try to go out of my way to be especially kind and empathetic to all retail employees, but the local Ulta stores have just gone downhill in service and appearance (from a professional standpoint). I ended up going to Sephora a few days afterward which I never do, because they are much more professional and attentive, and seem to have more items in stock that I am looking for than Ulta does these days. read more

Soooooo happy with the salon at Ulta in Pensacola. I've been going to a different salon for 10 years but after 3 unsuccessful (and expensive) attempts to get some fun, vibrant highlights in my hair (blue, purple and pink) I decided to try Ulta on recommendation from a coworker. I couldn't be happier with the results! My stylist Presley took time to discuss my goals and options and looked at pictures I had saved as examples of what I wanted done. She then explained her recommended processes and products to achieve the look I was hoping for. It turned out even better than any of the pictures I had saved. The cost was less than my old salon by quite a bit and I actually got what I wanted rather than excuses why it didn't work. Presley has earned a loyal client. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

This is a review of the skincare services and not the rest of the store. I had an appointment today at 2:45 and arrived an hour early to shop and chechef in to see if she was open earlier. There was not and I just said I would come back at appointment time and if I had know I had some time I would have booked it earlier and for an hour. I usually get high end facials at a local spa but I am a very busy professional who travels extensively and was surprised to find some extra minutes in my day. I did tell her that I would come back to her station at my appointment time in an hour. She said I could go ahead and complete the paperwork. I didn't really want to infringe upon her current appointment about to start but she handed me the clipboard and I completed the paperwork. She started that appointment before me at 1:38 and it was for an hour. I browsed and sat for an hour, purchased a few things and went back 5 minutes before my 2:45 appt. She walked by me at 2:44 with her previous customer, did not acknowledge me or say She would be right back. She just went off with that previous customer and started showing her other brands of products. At 2:52 I realized she was snubbing me and purposely late like I did not matter. She threw me that look when I came up the first time. Now I did not have the extra time to stay later past my scheduled time. I spend a great deal of money at Ulta and will never consider their facial services again. I had planned on purchasing whatever she said would be best for me. I have a Saturday appointment with a much more professional aesthetician. Ulta should consider how their skin care "professionals" treat customers.Epic fail. read more

I decided this year instead of going to Dillards that Alta had a special and said they would give out gift packages with a purchase when I arrived at the store there were no gift packages to get out they said if you don't get here early enough you won't get one they're giving out way in advance so I gifted my two perfumes two very special man in my life and my husband and son already had Fahrenheit by Christian Dior so I returned it tonight or I tried to return it it was the biggest hassle and they made me feel like I was a thief when I arrived at the register the girl told me she couldn't give me a refund if I didn't have an account well I don't have an account because I don't shop there much then she said it's a blank blind return I had my receipt with my charge card number on it and was never told that I wasn't able to return some thing without an account account is after finding out from the manager just a phone number to attach to the receipt however that's not fair that you have to give private information when you're trying to return some thing as long as you have your proper receipt package was not open and the girl at the register was not very friendly she told me to step aside while she waited on some others because the manager was in the back of the store and she had to get an approval for my return this is just bad business buyer beware go somewhere else to buy your perfumes because the return at Dillards is much easier than at Ulta and people don't talk about you as you're walking out the door at Dillards like they do at Ulta I hadn't even got out of the door in the cashier was already talking about me to the manager because I asked her why was she helping someone else instead of finishing to help meI will definitely not be back read more

JEN SAVED THE DAY!!!! I come to Ulta a lot for my beauty products and mostly just get the "hi, welcome in" greetings which is typical of most stores so I wasn't disappointed, however when I asked someone for help finding blush she quickly handed me a trial kit that's like $60 with 5 different blushes and went back to talking to her friends letting me know our conversation was over. I was definitely disappointed because I don't usually ask for help and the one time I do, it goes like this. I put it down because I did not want a blush kit, I just wanted 1 blush to use. Then comes Jen! She was helping someone else and could see that I was frustrated walking through isles like 3x lost as heck. She finished helping her client and came to help me. I told her what I was looking for and she found me the most BEAUTIFUL blush that was the texture and color I wanted and she even helped me pick out a few contour colors because we had been discussing it and sampled them on my skin for me! Now I have a few new beauty products to add to my daily make up routine. On a side note, she suggested a GREAT restaurant to eat at for dinner (Mr. Pollo on 9th by Subway) at which we ran into her later and talked some more. I stopped in about 3 weeks ago looking for something to help me with my stubborn, itchy scalp. I cannot put in to words to describe the pain and itching in my scalp. I have been to a dermatologist twice with no relief so I was really just looking to try anything that might help. I was approached by Taylore (I think that was how she spelled.her name) and I told her what I was looking for. She showed me 2 options one of which she had recommended before to someone and it helped them. I'd give it a 3 if folks were more helpful. I've been twice, twice I've asked about coupons (not my first rodeo, I lived near an Ulta in DC and frequented it) and twice I've gotten no answer. Not to seem cheap, but these were some bomb coupons! I'll look at the app tonight, they were mailed in DC. It's a smaller store, and I don't think well organized in some aspects, I'd expect all nail stuff to be with nail stuff, I dunno. My husband who shaves with a straight razor was looking at their men's aisle, 1/2 aisle, and it was almost empty. Prices were hard to find etc...on most items. They didn't carry some of the trendier hair items I expected AND the brushes were a MESS! I'll be back, I'm looking for a new curling iron, ceramic. I'm doing research now. This was by far my worst experience here. I drove an hour to exchange, not return, make up that the sales woman sold me less than a week before. She assured me she gave me the right shade of foundation but it was way off. I drive all the way back to get the right shade and am told because I got rid of the box and receipt they must do a blind return which means I can only put the amount the last person paid toward the right shade. Apparently the last person had points or a gift card and they only put a dollar and 41 cents towards my 40 something dollar foundation. So because the sales woman messed up I had to pay an additional 40 dollars. I will never shop here again read more

I'm really on the fence. I went in and got a facial done to take care of blackheads. I know I have a lot because I've never really done much about them myself and I don't really do beauty supply stores very often so I was very overwhelmed. Naturally my husband and I had a lot of questions. Come to find out I was on a 20 minute timer and every time we asked a question she would stop working on my face. I was VERY unhappy. So if my face wasn't done, f*** it, they're done?! I paid an extra $10 to have the blackheads extracted but I didn't get extra time added to my clock. Meaning I got less of everything else but paid more. I was very mad and idk if I'll go back. My face seems smoother... but she didn't finish it. Because the timer ran out. read more

I went into the Salon in Pensacola about 3-4 months ago and got a haircut. I call to make an appointment for another haircut. Of course, the girl is no longer at Ulta and no one knows where she is at. So I make an appointment with the girl that answered the phone. I should have known better. Bless her heart, she must have left beauty school and come straight to work. I am not even sure she went to beauty school. No where did I see a license posted at her station. I show her my picture and tell her how I want it cut. Yeh, yeh I can do that. She acted like she was scared to death. She gets through the haircut and proceeds to dry it. I have never in my life had a stylist dry my hair the way she did. She says I can't understand why there is no volume ...... well I am no hair stylist but smart enough to know if you dry it flat down on your head you are not going to have volume. She wanted to keep trying, finally I said I'm done. So the following day, I look in the mirror and think hopefully I can do something with this. I keep looking to find the sides are not even. It is all chopped up. NOTHING like I told her I wanted. Now I will have to go somewhere else to have them even it up and wait for it to grow out to get a real haircut. NEVER again will I use the Ulta Hair Salon for any of my hair services. This is it!!! I have learned my lesson. Very disappointed. read more

I love the salon at Ulta! Cori, the salon manager, has been doing my hair for a few years now, and she is an absolute magician. I don't have "the good hair"(LOL) - it's super fine and thin, but Cori does a beautiful job cutting it. She is also a genius with color! She has done everything for me, color-wise, from colors normally found on human heads to fun colors that you see on unicorns. Cori manages to make it look as if whatever color I have is my natural color, complimenting my skin tone with depth and variation while maintaining a healthy shine. She is exceedingly diplomatic and professional when I come up with something hare-brained (pun not totally intended) that I might want try, always giving me options that turn out to be fabulous. She is honest if something will take several visits to attain, and suggests products to help maintain my hair's color and health, but doesn't act like I'm an idiot if I choose not to purchase a product. She is knowledgable, professional, kind, entertaining, and talented. I've also surreptitiously watched the other stylists deal with their customers over the years, and feel like they've built up a talented crew who really care about giving their customers what they want. read more

I have shopped with Ulta since they have opened with absolutely no problem. I ordered a Sorbus makeup tower and when I received it the drawers were smaller than they looked. Boxed it up for return and ca lled customer service to get a label. I tell you this with all truth.... never in my 74 years have I experienced anything like this. The people I was dealing w it's were PhillipIno and to begin with was the language barrier but over almost 40 minutes it was the call from hell. I explained why I was returning the item but, was told that wouldn't ever happen because of the reason I gave.But, from start to finish I was treated so badly I was in tears and I had to hand the phone over to a friend that was here listening to this conversation. She didn't do any better than I did. The most horrendous experience I have ever encountered with any customer service. I will not be shopping with Ulta anymore. I have spent thousands of dollars there and I will spend that money with a company that cares about me. read more

Had a bad experience with an eyebrow wax. The woman was nice, but the after wax look was awful! I was asking about eyebrow pencils and told her twice I was trying to growth eyebrows out because they are too thin fort liking. She told me I could still get them waxed to get the stray hairs and give shape. I reluctantly got them done. As far as the waxing went, it didn't hurt and she was fast and used an eyebrow pencil after. Maybe that's why I didn't notice how bad they looked. Right away I noticed they looked thinner, even though I told her I wanted them to grow out and be thicker. When I got home and showered I saw the real damage.. They were MUCH thinner and over waxed/plucked! She took wayyy too much off. My eyebrows look ridiculous now. There is too much space between them and on one of them she took too much off the front of the brow and is very noticeable. Will never go back. And $20 for an eyebrow wax, are you serious?! I could go anywhere else and only pay $12. read more

I have had multiple bad experiences at this location, but the real problem for me is their salon. I have had my hair done multiple times by different companies and have NEVER had as bad of a color / highlight job as the one I received from them. They insisted that is was "my" fault because I had used box color and charged a lot of extra money for my hair to end up orange. I consulted with multiple cosmologists and they all agreed that there was no way my hair should have ended up that bad. I have before went to a professional stylist with box color on my hair and it turned out fine. I have never spent as much money on a cut and color either. I wouldn't trust them with any type of color. And the haircuts... not worth the money. They are super cut quality haircuts for professional salon prices. read more

Had my eyebrows, upper lip, chin & jaw line waxed at Benefit Brow Bar in Ulta yesterday. In the past I've had a wonderful job done at the Naples Ulta so I expected the same here. Wasn't a very good job. Neither eyebrow is shaped the same. One ends further up the arch than the other. And they've been trimed so that there isn't enough eyebrow to put color on. Face wax was just so so. The arch expert(?) was friendly enough. I think she could use a lot more training though. read more
