I am a huge beauty fan and was thrilled when a Sephora finally opened in the area. I have been to this location more times than I can remember and am a Beauty Insider. For the years that I have been shopping here, I have never had a bad experience. I have found the staff friendly, attentive, and helpful in navigating the sea of products.I have also attended several of the VIB parties and have had a good time and won some free products. I like that everything is on display to test, and you can get a free sample of any product to take home and try before you buy it. The perk Sephora has that keeps me coming back is the easy returns on anything. It doesn't matter how long you've had the product, how much is used, or if you have a receipt. You will either be refunded or given an in store credit. I am much more adventurous in what I buy because I know I can always bring it back if it doesn't work out. read more

I love playing with makeup, so the four stars is for the variety and selection the store offers. The staff who work here is usually more concerned about how much makeup they can cake onto their faces than their customers, which may have cost them a few sales. Beware of the tester or sample makeup as well, as it seems like silly teen girls who don't have the most hygienic practices like to dip their grubby fingers into the pots of gloss and eye shadows. On the upside, if you are a Beauty Insider (part of the free loyalty club), you get a free gift for your birthday; I never complain about free gifts. read more

I wouldnt give this store any stars at all!! Every time i walk in it takes like 20 mins for someone to greet me!! Worst customer service ever!!! I ask for help or ask questions they answer with an attitude im sure they dont like their job i worked customer service for 6 yrs and i know how to treat customers! Came in to Sephora to be color matched to a new foundation I have never tried, I asked an associate named Shannon (or Sharon) to help me pick a color and she said "I'll have you do that part" and I reiterated that I needed to be matched and she said "just pick the color you normally are!" As I looked at her dumbfounded I said "I have never used this I have no clue what color I am" yet she still wouldn't help me. she obviously didn't want to help me based on assumptions due to my bare fresh out of class face or something. I gave up with her and found a new associate to help me. Kayla was amazing and tried to rectify the situation by taking the time to assist me. She gets 5 stars. Shannon gets -5 for completely killing my mood and making me not want to come back to this location ever again. read more

Not the cleanest store, but hat is due to the overwhelming traffic that comes and goes thru this store at almost all hours. I love the amount of product that they carry here. Despite the stuffy aisles and hoardes of crowds that seem to rush through the doors, there usually some one who is always available and willing to help. I do wish there was a little more space. The layout does make it difficult to navigate from front to back. But hey, that's not a huge problem. read more

I was first introduced to Sephora while in Vegas a few years ago so I was ecstatic when one finally come to Oregon. The store is fabulous. It is like the cosmetic counter at your favorite department store only roomier, bigger selection and without the pretentious, snobby perfume spraying chicks. Anything you could want for your cosmetic needs is here and the staff is wonderful. They are so knowlegeable and helpful and not pretentious at all. They are honest and not pushy. I am not too fond of malls but fortunately Sephora has its own entrance so you can run in and out without going into the mall at all. read more

I gave them an average score because I couldn't really remember any great experiences here. I go often for all my makeup and fragrance needs because the selection is great. I wear mainly Bare Minerals, and when looking for something I've been told a few times to go to the Bare Minerals store in the mall. This always bothers me because although I appreciate the suggestion, I love Sephora and want to shop there. At least make a few recommendations INSTEAD if you don't have what I was looking for, before you send me away. They are happy to make me samples when I ask, and the associates ARE passionate but I do tend to have to ask for help. read more

I like this place, its quite spacious and has plenty of items in stock for me. I went for an event, and it was completely packed, the check out line looped around a few of the displays and out the door practically. It was chaos. But despite the chaos, all the store employees were smiling and willing to answer questions, do makeovers, hand out shopping baskets, passed out water and chocolate. While the definitely could have used some better line management, the line moved quickly and after a 40 minute wait, we finally left. Luckily I had someone in line to chat with, and 20% off with no tax definitely made me a happy camper here. read more

This Sephora is wonderful! I've always been cheerfully greeted as I walk in, employees chatting with me and checking with me to make sure I'm doing alright and finding what I'm looking for. I was actually there specifically this time to get myself a new, higher-end foundation. I have never been color matched (I know, gasp!! Lol) and planned on spending what I consider to be a lot, so...for once I asked for help. The associate I asked was so nice, she got me over to Heather who helped me out. She is awesome! She asked questions, gave me some tips, and showed me how a few different products would work for my skin. She did the color match, helped me select a foundation that works with my skin type and gives the coverage I want. I never felt pressured or anything, Heather impressed me as someone who loves makeup and helping people! So so happy with my experience! read more

This is a chain so the products and all that are the same everywhere but let me tell you...what puts this Sephora miles above the others in the area is the customer service. Every person I have talked to is happy, professional, and knows their make up. We can talk colors, brands, how they go on, etc and it seems to be from experience not just making things up or repeating what they have heard. And best of all....if the person you ask a question to doesn't know the answer they will ask a coworker who does. This sounds simple but good customer service is hard to find in beauty stores. This review is based off of Annette, not the store cleanliness or the items in stock. I am getting married in a month in the middle of nowhere; I don't want to have to drive into Bend (the nearest town) to get makeup done on the day of and I don't have time to go down for a trial with an artist. I am fairly savvy with makeup and decided to do it myself. My photographer gave me the recommendation to get a not mineral foundation, as my mineral powder wasn't good for the flash and wouldn't photograph well. I scheduled an hour and a half makeover/tutorial with Annette. I was a bit nervous seeing some of the women who work there makeup but was assured that Annette was the best and had years of experience. Annette spent two hours with me, carefully selecting each product/color, listening to my wants, and telling me how to apply as she was doing it. She was so knowledgeable and down to earth. I felt extremely confident with her ability and the products she selected. I ended up having to have a few things sent to me, not a big deal because I have time. I purchased nearly all of the products she used, so I can practice and she assured me I could come back as needed and ask any questions or have her watch me apply it. This appointment does come with a $125 minimum purchase, which for me was not a problem because many of these products I don't use on a daily basis and need for my wedding day! read more

As much as I try to hide my addiction to Sephora - I have to sing their praises today out loud & come out of the cosmetics closet. Now, I loathe "sex and the city', romantic comedies and the like - but Sephora, and specifically their customer service, kick more butt than Ru Paul's whole drag team. I had bought a trial size of NARS Monoi glow oil & loved it - so I splurged on the "normal" size ( 3.9 oz is normal?) - eventhough I believe it was about 60 bucks of my hard earned bucks. It arrived and in some sort of scent induced hallucination tore upstairs to open it up & celebrate. bam. the bottle ( it's glass) shattered in my hand and ALL over the bathroom - all over my makeup brushes and more. SH*T! As i try to pick it up - glass shards are making me into Edward Scissorhands not so pretty sister ( but hey, I smell really good.) A day or so later - I receive a "please review your purchases" email from Sephora. I tell them my tale - but don't ask for anything. Next day - email stating my new full size bottle at no cost is already on it's way to me. Sephora - i think i love you. read more

I loooooove Sephora! I know, I know...trendy, overpriced, overwhelming. Seriously though, now that you know I'm high maintenance and will only wear the best, allow me to tell a story. I went home to Cali and my best friend let me try her Bare Essentials powder foundation when we we're repairing our faces after a day at the spa. A-M-A-zing! Ok wait, I forgot I'm not reviewing the product. After making it clear that I love, love, loved it, she informed me that her mom had bought her an extra that she didn't need (because one pot lasts freakin' forever). She let me take it home and after a use or two I decided that I needed a lighter shade. To be exact, I needed the lightest shade. It's no secret that I'm pale, even in the deepest depths of summer. So due to my new found love of the stuff, I trekked to my nearest Sephora, used makeup in hand, to find the right shade. At the check out I asked about the return policy and was informed that it's pretty loose. She said they'd return just about anything even without a receipt for store credit. I then told her that I had brought the wrong color with me but had no idea where my friend's mom had gotten it and she said: 'NO PROBLEM'!!! She took it back and I got the right color for FREE! I'm not sure what it is about these girls that work at this location, but 90% of the time I shop at this store I get terrible customer service. That small 10% is the only reason I come back for the products I cannot get at Ulta. GOOD LUCK trying to find someone that will help you if you don't have a full face of makeup on and Loui Vuitton hang bags hanging from your wrists. I spend at least 5 minutes in this store trying to find someone that will help me and not role their eyes at me in the process. I was trying to find the perfect foundation for myself today and the gal that was helping me was so incredibly rude. I asked her what her opinion was on the foundation that sounded best suitable for what I was looking for and she pointed me in the direction of one brand and left. I went over to the Sephora inside JcPenneys and was actually surprised at how lovely the employees were and how willing they were to help me until I found what I was looking for. Seriously if you want a pleasant experience don't shop at this location! Employees have a terrible attitude and terrible customer service. read more

So I love makeup. I love getting colors of the rainbow just in case I have a reason to wear them. Usually I can find it here at Sephora. Now that being said, Lets go to the staff. Most times when I walk in, I am completely ignored. I am not a cutsie little thing. I am a 36 year old woman with crazy half gray hair and a big butt. I tend to go there when I have nothing to do. That usually means I am dressed in plain ol' jeans and big arse T shirts. Yes I look poor and redneck. It is my day off. This does not mean I am not a true customer. I did not have this reaction when I visited their Las Vegas store which was nice. At this location, I have had to literally grab a passing arm to get someone's attention. Sometimes, if I am lucky I get a snide " Are you finding everything okay". Once upon a time I was a person who spent tons in stores for makeup and daily was dressed to the hilt. Once I had influence in the makeup world (ok my little neck of the world) I was even scouted for a position with MAC. These particular associates wouldn't have been selected for the local Kmart with their attitudes and lack of empathy and knowledge. Now I gave a three star because I can say that when I take my son there, he is creative and colorful and loves to help people choose things. This makes the staff fawn over him. I do give them props for paying attention to him as the store is totally not designed for him. read more

So I'm slightly addicted to makeup and they really do have a great selection (and really if you want something else there's Nordstom and Macy's right around the corner). But they don't get any more than 3 stars because the girls working here are complete b****es. They pretty much don't give you the time of day unless you purchase something. You have to try really hard to get someone to help you, and when they do help, they have their fake nice voice on. It's kind of disgusting actually. The only reason I come back is because there is a good selection and they have a pretty good return policy. read more

We brought in a few photos from pinterest of the "Gatsby look" we wanted and she did an immaculate job. Not only did they have what I was looking for, but they were also able to recommend other products that were also excellent. Their staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had an appointment with Adrienne for my wedding day make up and she did such a wonderful job! She was knowledgeable on the product, excellent at applying it, very friendly and professional and I'm so happy I decided to have my makeup done at Sephora. My wedding pictures turned out great and I learned a few good tips about applying make up for myself. She also gave me a few samples of products that I'll be sure to buy once I run out. I went here in preparation for my wedding. I'm having a very low-key courthouse wedding, but a girl still has to look good! I generally prefer not to wear make-up so I arranged an appointment for a consult to learn a bit and then pick up some products to use the day of. Sonja and Annette were wonderful!
