I've been getting my brows waxed off and on for years but with the pandemic, I'd let things slide because the only person seeing my eyebrows was my husband and, let's be honest, he's seen much worse than shaggy eyebrows on my person. But my birthday is coming up, so I decided to treat myself to my first brow wax since before the pandemic ruined everyone's routines and met with Branda. She was great. A nice person and she did a lovely job with a great attitude. I'm no newbie to waxing but I got my brows tinted for the first time on this visit, since I'm losing the battle against menopause (as we all do, sooner or later) and she did a good job with color matching and offered me some valuable advice re: magnetic lashes while waiting for the dye to do its thing. The girls at this Brow Bar are so nice! Sandra has waxed my brows several times and every time they were clean and a beautiful shape. She'll even put concealer on you if there's redness after waxing and fill in your brows with the benefit brow pencil if you'd like! To the other reviewers giving them a bad review because "they didn't squeeze you in," how would you like it if you had an appointment set but someone demanded to be seen during your appointment slot - giving the arch expert less time and care for you? Vera did an amazing job on my eye brows. I highly recommend you go see her. I feel like I got the 5 star treatment. She mapped out my brows, & where they should arch. Then waxed any hair outside of the lines. I was left a little red so she added some concealer and filled in my brows. I was originally going to urban wax, but I'm sticking with Vera she was fantastic! read more

Horrible service. I wanted a brow wax and tint. I tried calling to make an appointment and no one picked up. This meant I was unable to book a head. I walked in to make an appointment and there were 2 girls working. The first was talking with a client, and couldn't help me because the second girl Amy had taken the book with her. I then waited 10 minutes to be told they were full. At all the benefits in San Francisco and Oakland they take multiple clients at a time and alternate between them while their tint is drying. It appears at this location they only book 1 person per 30-60 minutes. They also were unable to help me due to it being their break soon. At this point I said I would tip generously and they said they could maybe get me in 45 minutes later. Just over all bad attitudes, and lack of wanting to be helpful. Super bummed. I'm now at a salon down the street, but I always have my brows done at benefit. read more

Sandra did a great job for me today! I couldn't have an eyebrow wax because I had a recent peel, but she was able to pluck and shape my brows and I also had a relaxing eye mask as well. My brows look great and Sandra helped me with the products that I had purchased from her last time and she showed me the proper use. I look forward to seeing her again soon! read more

I have been here twice now. The first time I do not remember who I saw, but I knew I probably wouldn't get my brows done by her again. After seeing the reviews here I decided for my second time I would make an appointment with Vera. I came in to pick up some products and decided to swing by the Benefit station to make my appointment. I was greeted by Vera! I asked to make an appointment and she said she could fit me in right then. Awesome! So she starts by mapping out my brows. Something that didn't happen the first time. I told her about some struggles I've had since my brows differ in fullness quite a bit. It was no problem for her. She got to work and explained what she was doing to do to give me some symmetry. What made this experience 5 stars is she showed me my brows without product and I was seriously speechless. I have never seen my brows look so even and perfect. My brows have always been something I've tried to hide, and now they are something I want to flaunt. I'll be booking with Vera for as long as she will take my appointments! read more

The first time at this location I walked in, and got excellent service, I was up shopping in the area and needed a brow wax desperately, and also got a tint. This weekend I debated if I should try to go local or make the drive back up, I decided to schedule an appointment here because of how great my brows turned out last time, and I'm glad I did! I've never gotten my eyebrows done before coming in and seeing Vera. I don't have any previous experiences to compare to, but I think she's phenomenal. She's talented, patient, and considerate. When I came in I got a pluck and a tint. She knew exactly how to handle my skin when I told her I was on Retin-A (which thins the skin so waxing is out of the question). She mapped out my brows, led me through the process step by step so I knew exactly what to expect. I was really nervous to have someone else do my eyebrows- I'm new to the whole beauty realm so this was a pretty big step for me, and she made me feel completely comfortable with all of it. Vera was fantastic. I'd had a botched job at Bollywood, and I went into Ulta looking for a product to rescue the disaster. I didn't realize there was a Benefit in Ulta (I'm from out of town), but I know Benefit from the East Coast. Vera was busy but patiently squeezed me in and tried her best to fix the problems. She did a fantastic job, and I recommend her highly. Wish she were closer! read more

I've been seeing Vera since February 2015. So a little over a year now. I figured my opinion is quite valuable considering I'm still a regular customer a year later. Firstly Vera is amazing, I don't know to much of her background except that she used to be an aesthetician at a "higher end" spa. The benefit brow experience starts with a map of where your brows should arch and so on. Next she waxes to straighten out the lines & then plucks any stray hairs. The final touches usually include a little concealer and one of there awesome brow products (gimme brow is my fave) The brow wax itself is $21. I feel that's kinda high especially when I go in 2 weeks later for just a touch up. I wish they offered a lower price for touch ups within X AMOUNT of time. Also the brow experience is completed in a sitting position. This can really get uncomfortable but I don't see how they could do it any other way. A small sales pitch is slightly involved EX: trying to sell a brow tint, or product. I'm not typically interested but she still seems to ask. No biggie. I get it, it's there job. My hopes for the future is that Vera moves to a home business or a spa/salon. read more
