WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! WSQ SEPHORA IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Sephora finally talked me into opening a credit card...i bought a ton of stuff online and 2 things didn't work out. When I tried to return them Nichol told me I couldn't without the credit card. I told her I hadn't received the credit card yet as I just opened it online, was there anything she could do since I live an hour away from the closet Sephora. Nichole said "no there was nothing she could do!". I was shocked. I asked if she would call customer service for me, she said no, I asked if I could use their phone to call customer service (I left my cell in the car) Nichole said "no, I could not use their phone!" By this time I was pretty upset. Went out to my car and called Sephora customer service. They were shocked by the way I was treated and called the store for me to talk to the manager. The manager was supposed to come out and speak with me, so I went black in the mall. When I got back to Sephora customer service asked the manger in charge, penny i believe, to come out and speak with me but penny, Nichole and another associate stood at the front entrance giggling saying they aren't allowed to leave the store! WTF? I was still on the phone with customer service and they heard everything. At this point customer service just returned my order for me over the phone and they are investigating the store. I'm closing my credit card, and I'll NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! read more

Check it out... I buy makeup. Yeah me, the 5'9" 290lb man over here... Why do I do this? Because, I am a self confident fellow, who, after 10 years of marriage, in general knows at least the basics of what my wife might like!! In our marriage we turn a few things on their heads - I am the one who likes to shop. And I like to shop for her. I have about an 80% success rate on buying her things she likes, so I feel pretty good about my chances (always keep receipts though!). Also, I like my wife more than I am afraid to talk to female sales staff in girl oriented stores. So I march into Sephora, describe my wife's coloring in detail, mention that she has been complaining about not having this kind of thing or that in her makeup bag and the sales staff always directs me to fun, interesting items or gift packs to get her. I have turned her on to at least three products here that she may not have found herself, and it is thanks to Sephora's selection, wide range of prices (you can spend a lot or a little depending on what you want), and nice sales help that this has worked! read more

Did you know that the Sephora at Washington Square is the only one in the state of Oregon that offers 90 minute Personal Beauty Advisor Consultations at no charge with a minimum $125 purchase? Well, neither did I, until I saw a little flyer at the register one day while I was making a purchase. It was then, I realized that this would be the PERFECT Christmas gift for my 12 year old tween, who is recently obsessed with beauty, and yet a total beauty novice. I called to make an appt and talked to the advisor, Joanna Del Cruz. From start to finish, Joanna was a complete professional and a delight to work with. When I booked the appt, Joanna took the extra step of putting together a box full of sample goodies, so I'd have something special to put under the tree for my girl. She loved going through them and testing them out. Before the appt, she sent me a beauty questionnaire, to ensure she'd be ready to provide my daughter with the best level of service. I can't tell you how much my girl enjoyed the pomp and circumstance of filling out her profile for her "personal advisor." And when we arrived, I was thrilled to see she had set up a station with a sign saying "Reserved for Yasmin", full of goodies designed just for her. Over the next 90 minutes, she made my daughter completely comfortable, while giving her expert advice on skin care, makeup application, and products appropriate for her age and skin type. She was funny, nice, and the experience was all that I hoped it would be. As a personal beauty advisor, now that she's met with my daughter, she's working for her. The perks go beyond the appt. Moving forward, she'll keep in touch about new products, be available for questions and to make recommendations, and act as a personal shopper. Best gift ever. My initial reaction to hearing that Sephora was going to grace the 'burbs was shock and dismay. Drive to Beaverton?! Methinks not! But drive to Beaverton I have, to visit this pantheon of beauty stores. I do love Sephora, don't get me wrong. Many an hour has been mis-spent at work perusing their online store. And online is still where I still choose to buy, most of the time. Why? Better samples, for the most part, and generally I can get free shipping. But its nice to be able to hit the store to experience the products in person or to return something. Why they didn't locate downtown is still a mystery to me. hint: join their shopper bonus program, they give great freebies and a gift on your birthday! UPDATE 1/25/08: Having recently been to another Sephora store in So Cal, I am giving Sephora their 5th star, even though they are still in Beaverton. The sales staff actually made me personal samples in cute little pots of 5 different eye creams so I could compare. In my book, this is above and beyond and deserving of 5 stars. YMMV. read more

So for my birthday I got a $50 sephora gift card. But what to spend it on? Brushes? Perfume? Makeup? The options are endless. So I walk into Sephora and look around. Not sure what I'm looking for, until I catch a glance of myself in the mirror. Foundation. I need new foundation. Right about that time one of the friendly ladies in the black coats walks over and asks if I need help. Yeah, I need foundation. She asks a few questions and takes me around to look at a couple brands. She then leaves me to play and calls for a "color matching specialist" to help me find the right shade. I'm a bit scared when the lady in the blue eyeshadow walks over. But after a few questions, she's able to put me at ease. I'm a 120 apparently, whatever that means. She applies the foundation and hands me a mirror. Wow, is that me? This stuff is amazing. No high pressure sales. No trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. Just a bottle of the most amazing foundation I've ever tried and a staff that really knows what they are talking about. This is why I go to Sephora and this is why I will keep going back. read more

I just love the bright lights big city of Sephora. And the supersaver in me loves that you can RETURN USED MAKEUP without a receipt or the box! I know well the suckness of getting your glass case of wonder home to realize that amber glaze sparkle shadow looks like *ordure* in normal lighting. Anyway, they often have deals and the brands they carry sometimes have special collections at fab prices. Keeping in mind it's all pretty expensive, but if you become a member of the Beauty Insider Club you get free stuff on your birthday and tons of samples with your online orders, and some other perks. Better yet (back to returns) you get full price on your used returns.. I wouldn't try to pull a tube-all-used-return-with-bad-excuse thing, cause thats just bad. I found the perfect foundation for my sensitive skin here. The lady who helped me was very helpful and she rocked the "lots of make up" face. I signed up for their rewards card the same time as my sister. She signed up with different cashier. She got a free mascara and I got NOTHING. My cashier sucked. My sis said it must be because he was a guy and too embarrassed to ask me if I wanted a free mascara or lip gloss. I've been reading all the bad reviews, since I'm going to be writing a bad review myself, just to see what other's have experienced. I really do appreciate the honesty and vulnerability that others have written about their bad customer service experience. One thing that I'm going to do is not sugar coat it. Plainly put, there's a lot of fucktards who work at Sephora. I only get helpful, genuine, sincere service 10% of the time here, from a very small handful of staff. Last time, there were at least 17 employees (lost count). Three were at the cash register, two at the entrance to greet people, and perhaps 4-5 were really helping other people. That leaves about 7 people to be available to help if anyone needed it. First off, no acknowledgment whatsoever when I walked in. Ummm, isn't that your job, greeters at the door?! Even when I walked by the greeters several times they did not smile nor did they ask me if I needed any help. After standing in an area for about five minutes trying out different colors, I can see at the corner of my eyes three staff talking to each other at the end of the aisle no more than 4 feet away from me. I know they see me. Whatever lame conversation they were having must have been more important than doing their job. I walked from one makeup counter to another, with numerous sales people walking by. Not one of them helped. On occasion, when I refuse to leave without buying a product because I sat in 30 minute suburbia traffic to get here, I hunt, flag an employee myself. But the majority of the time, I leave because I don't like tolerating shitty service. But I've been here enough to get what's going on. You either need to cake on that makeup, so you like your performing on Broadway, or going clubbing, or some kind of YouTube makeup guru. Or, you fall into the 14-22 demographic. OR, if you happen to be older than 40, you get helped if you look like a country club wife. BTW, did I mention that if you're a woman of color, you most likely won't get helped? I noticed that with other customers of color. That leaves the rest of us. Professional women, mothers, aunts, etc. who are willing to spend loads of money on quality products. I think I'm worthy of your fucking time cause my money goes to your business which trickles down to your paycheck. But if you incompetent airheads don't I am worthy of that then that's your problem and you should shove that angled brow brush up yours. Note: As noted before, this happens most of the time. For the staff that have helped me in the past, thank you. This post is reviewing those teeny bopper wannabe staff members, for this Sephora store in general for not training staff well enough, and for hiring idiotic talk machines in the first place. I love the products at Sephora. I don't like the customer service. There are certain products I can only find at Sephora and that is the reason why I keep returning. Every time I have walked into the store, I'm rarely greeted by an associate. There have been numerous times when employees are engaged in personal conversations. Sephora - my make up go to place. I act like a kid in a candy shop when I'm here. My eyes widen and I'm in my own little world ooh-ing an ahh-ing at every product that comes within my peripheral vision. Sometimes I need help from the employees and sometimes I don't. So sometimes I get the love from them like how Costco employees want to give your their samples and sometimes I just get ignored like a piece of litter on the freeway. But it's okay because I like to shop on my own and if I do have questions I'll flag one of you down. Most of my beauty go-to's are pretty much found from magazines and I check them out as I'm in the store. What's cool is that if you sign up for their rewards program (free), at 100 points ($1 = 1 point) you can get a free sample of their stuff. BUT! If you save 500 points, you can get a bigger sample of free stuff! Kudos for free stuff! I like that they have coupons for you and especially on your birthday, they give you free stuff! So Sephora carries the high end brand of cosmetics ranging from hair to face to skin and also perfume. I'm always here to get my fill of Philosophy, foundation, perfume and eye make up! Horrible customer service. I had to return an item that I bought a couple of days prior, I had a 20% discount on the first purchase. I needed to exchange for the same item, just different color and the lady that checked me out wouldn't honor the discount so I had to pay the difference. Horrible customer service the lady got an attitude because I told her I couldn't understand why she wouldn't be able to do an even exchange. Nasty attitude and horrible customer service. The location is not convenient for the downtown dweller who doesn't own or use their car but for all those that don't know Sephora--you should rest assured that it is worth the trip to Tigard--for all those familiar with Sephora I'm sure you'd agree with me. Sephora is like a candy store for adult females. They carry every hip and happening brand you've just read about in the latest fashion magazine, and even a few brands you've never heard of. Best of all, they have samples of everything--so you can try before you buy. They carry makeup, perfume, skin care products, beauty accessories and products for men. Be aware: these are trendy designer products with designer prices, but the salespeople are very knowledgeable and, if you catch their attention, they are eager to help. I looooove makeup and all things that make a woman beautiful. I enjoy the selection. Sephora is great because it features a huge selection of beauty products, and just beauty products, which makes it much easier to choose and select what you want/need in one place. I really dislike the service here though. I've had a couple of good salespeople. Others are reluctant to help or are rude. Though Sephora has a good return policy, the cashiers and managers are often baffled as to why customers chose to return an item, or two items, or three. It's makeup! Some colors don't work! Some products are crap! There's this one Asian girl cashier (with bright orange blush) that feels the need to scour my return item and glare and take her precious time when helping me. She even glares when she's not my cashier. This is why I go to Nordstrom, and only Nordstrom for items Sephora and Nordstrom both carry. Hah! Sooo back story. I have a secret Home Shopping Network Problem. It draws me in... like info-mercials, but I actually sometimes buy things from HSN. Beauty things. Like makeup and skin care. It's the damn before and afters. I beleive every single word they say. Sephora occasionally makes an appearance on either HSN or QVC, and I am saved from calling in and making late night purchases, (I start to want everything after about 1 am,) and can go over to Washington Square to see items in person. Today, walked in with my boyfriend, who immediately walked back out, saying he couldn't stand the girl-smell, so I swiftly gathered up four of just about the same item in my arms to compare products. A helpful sales girl came over and told me the pros and cons, and I ended up only having to buy two of the four... Still working on shopping problem, but didn't have to pay shipping and handling. I am generally a big fan of Sephora. For years, I have visited the stores to stock up on mineral makeup & vegan/cruelty free products. While running errands near Washington Square a few weeks ago, I stopped at this location, and I was really disappointed with the service. Again, I've been visiting Sephora stores for years, and I've always loved the attentive staff ... this visit was awful. They were a little busy (it was an evening), but we were never greeted or acknowledged while we were shopping. The cashier gave me a cold greeting & didn't bother asking about my experience or if I found everything okay. I have a Sephora card, which she didn't even ask me for ... When spending over $100 in the visit, I would have expected better customer service. I will not be visiting this store again. The downtown Portland store is MUCH better! read more

WHY WHY WHY MUST I DRIVE TO WASHINGTON SQUARE TO GET MY MAKE UP??? Oh well, I least I don't have to fly anywhere like we used to. Sephora opened up sometime last year (was it the year before??) and I am SO glad we finally have one here in Oregon. It is the ultimate make up station. They carry every brand you can think of plus they have a house brand that is very inexpensive and very beautiful. The staff can seem very distracted, but if you make an appointment for a consultation you'll more attention than you'd ever ask for. I honestly don't go as much I'd like because of the drive, but that's a good thing. I'd probably spend every penny I have if I went too often! read more

Oh, Sephora! It's good for what ails you! That is, if you're a chick and a cosmetic junkie. I've been a customer of Sephora for years and years now, so when this location opened up I was pretty excited. It's nice to be able to come in and get lost in all its cosmetic wonders. Typically there are always testers available, and sections are grouped together by type of product as well as brand. Now, I'll admit I don't wear much in the way of makeup anymore. On this particular outing I was purely out for magnetic nail polish, which they are one of the few places that carry it. Haven't tried it yet but really looking forward to it! Because I knew what I was looking for it wasn't like I required much in the way of one on one assistance with my shopping experience. And with my purchase the lady at the register sent me home with a couple samples of other products. Can't complain about that! read more

Products are great, however the staff needs to learn some mannerisms. The manager is amazing if I had to give stars just based on her I would give her, Rhonda a 10!!!! I was shamed in front of a crowd of people for wearing a see through mask. I totally get it... and had I been offered a mask that was sitting at the front door as I waited in line for 15 mins and was singled out, I would've used it happily. In fact I walked away after her singling me out. She stood right in front of me and started to drill into everybody on how nobody is touch anything, you have to ask them to handle the product (totally understand) but she then she stared right at me and said YOU need to be wearing something that can't be seen through in order to come in. Never once have I been so embarrassed at a store as everybody is staring at me and the two women whom initially had the problem had their laughs over it. I spend a ton of money here. My love. The greatest makeup store of all time. I can come in here and have no idea what I'm doing with my life and they will fix it with a product I will become obsessed with for the next month or two until I return. It's not my fault though. Every worth while brand name is here. Benefit, Urban Decay, Tarte, Dior, Makeup Forever, Anastasia Beverly Hills (the eyebrow gawds), etc. That's not even counting all the skin and hair products. Nice, helpful staff here, great store (bright, clean and easy to maneuver if the crowd isn't too huge). Good selection of men's fragrances and skincare products, much easier to browse than a department store where they will hover over you and push you to buy. Only "issue," and it's minor, is that the free gifts they offer for card holders (reach a certain number of points you get one) is that they are pretty much for women only. Obviously that is their core customer base, but I always see guys in there spending money so would be awesome if they offered more a variety. Sephora, hurrah! I have been shopping at Sephora for a long time now, but only in the last 4 or so years have I been an extreme "Beauty Insider" guru. I spend thousands of dollars at Sephora each year and I am not ashamed to admit it. Sadly, where I live now there isn't a full sized store within 350 miles, boo! The Washington Sq. Sephora is my favorite in Oregon (I've been to them all). I like the attention I get from staff, even though they're quite evil the way they convince me to buy more at the check stand. My favorite thing to do is give myself a makeover while in the store, and then buy all the products. Makeup Forever saved my life. Sephora brand eyeshadows and brushes are wonderful. Bad Girl Lash is the best mascara in the world. They'll always send you home with a bag full of goodies, including any samples of as many fragrances as you want and if you're a regular, beauty insider points gets me tons of almost full size- full size freebies. I shop online constantly and always use the codes they send me in my emails. read more

Blah, not a fan of this Sephora. The employees seem fairly clueless, slightly rude and the space is cramped. There were a couple nice employees, but for the most part they were snotty. Haven't had many positive experiences here. I buy a ton of super high end makeup as well, and I've been to some amazing Sephoras (aka Hollywood and Highland in LA), so this one just fails all over the place. Sephora has kind of gone downhill in recent years in general, but this store kinda feels more like a Target than a high end makeup store where lipstick costs $20. FAIL. read more

I try to avoid this location if possible due to negative past experiences, but I had to go in to do some returns and shop the rouge sale. I asked to be color matched for a new foundation and the employee assigned to me told me "I needed to figure out the shade I need on my own then call her over to make a sample" to which I responded "I don't know what shade I am that's why I'd like your opinion" and she basically refused to help me. I got so frustrated I gave up on the shopping part of my trip and headed over to do my return. The employee who was helping me with my easy return had an attitude towards me the entire time. I asked her a question to which she didn't know the answer, and then the employee she asked also seemed annoyed to be answering the question. I get working in retail can be difficult, and I try to have a lot of empathy, but time and time again the customer service here is lacking. read more

All retail stores should take lessons from Sephora for customer service! They are comparable only to Nordstroms, which is saying a LOT! 2 weeks ago, I was given the task of putting together "Swag Bags" for a 7-yr old's "Fashion Show Birthday Party". I know of Sephora but don't make my way to Washington Square or downtown (for shopping) very often, so I wouldn't call myself a customer of theirs, per se. I popped into the store anyway, to see if I could get some perfume or cosmetic samples. I didn't see any on display and in public view, so I told the sales-gal my plight and asked if I they had anything that I could use for the bags I was putting together. She wasn't sure what they had in the storage room, but asked for my name, number and date of the party. I figured she was just being polite and went on my merry way. Fast forward 1 week and 6 days (the night before the party) and the Sephora store manager called, to ask if I still needed anything for the Swag Bags. I was thrilled and gleefully said yes! While Nordstroms had given me some, Macy's refused (they are one of the stores that need customer service lessons from Sephora) and the inside of my bags were looking a little pathetic. The manager, Angela, then said she'd happily put a little something together and that I could pick it up shortly. To my awe and surprise, Angela went above my expectations and made me 10 little bags with samples of skin care, foundation, perfumes etc. I don't know how many of the Swag Bag recipients are Sephora shoppers, but these little bags are sure to be a hit and make new customers out of all of them. I recently decided to make a special trip to Washington Square Sephora to check out in person a few products I had my eye on online. Walking in, I immediately noticed the store is tiny compared to the other Sephora stores I'm used to (San Francisco). Its OK - they all cant be the same! The second thing I noticed is that they don't carry Frederic Fekkai. I have never shopped at a Sephora store that didn't carry that line. I was looking to try out a particular product, so I was greatly disappointed. Thankfully, they had Carol's Daughter and Ouidad, or the trip would have been a complete waste. The sales reps also were very helpful in helping me pick out an SPF 30 and a specific type of mascara. I also left with a few samples of other products. Though the store wasn't a totally disappointment, the tiny size and lack of specific brands will keep me shopping at Sephora.COM primarily. Always call a store to see if they have a specific product in advance of making a special trip - lesson learned. read more

Dear Sephora, JCPenny is making you look bad. I wouldn't have even gone in to this location if I hadn't been gifted a Sephora gift card that could only be used in a JCP Sephora. I have free shipping on my Sephora account but instead of being able to use the gift card online with my normal account I had to drive to the crowded mall and go to this store. This location does not have enough registers. The lines are long and they did not offer me my reward samples for my bonus points. Sephora needs to fix their relationship with JCPenny. I wanted to purchase some Fenty products, so I decided to check this place out. When I first walked in, I couldn't find anyone to help me out because it was super busy. However, I finally managed to flag down an employee who walked me to where the products were located. Once I got there, there was an employee ready to assist me. The lady at the Fenty counter was extremely helpful. She helped match me to the right concealer and foundation. I ended up purchasing concealer, foundation, and some blotting paper. I will definitely be back in the near future. However, I will go on a weekday evening when it is not as busy so I can browse and look around leisurely. read more

DANGERZONE. I am a person of great restraint, but I could seriously drop a grand at Sephora in 10 minutes flat. Makeup, skincare, fragrance and high end hair products. I don't think it's necessary to buy expensive everything, but quality fragrance, lipstick and eye shadows are musts. Nordstrom is great when I just need a new bottle of perfume or a new shadow-- but Sephora is one stop shopping. I am a VIB rouge and an avid Sephora shopper and this is my favorite store to date. I have had average customer service at both the downtown store and the clackamas store, however this one has always been a lovely experience. Whether I'm wearing a full face of makeup or I just came from work bare-faced, someone always greets me when I come in. I have also found that the employees are very friendly, and love to strike up a conversation about whichever brand display you are standing in front of! All of the employees are very knowledgeable and are always willing to help as well as very good about making sure you are always taken care of! I went in here when they were pretty busy, but I was still greeted and asked if I needed help with anything. It went downhill from there though. I really needed help finding a foundation for my skin as I am extremely pale and have very dry skin. I also have a very red face and lots of pimples, so I needed something full coverage. They used the Color IQ to get my skin tone I guess (it didn't tell her or she just disregarded it, not really sure what happened) and searched the foundations for those recommended for dry skin. She just picked the first one that popped up and told me this was the one I needed. I was given no other choices. It was something I had never heard of and was very skeptical about. She didn't know much about the product except that it was apparently the only foundation that would work for me. After telling her I'd think about it, I started looking at some foundations I'd heard good things about that would be good for my skin. I asked the same girl who had helped me earlier if I could get a sample of the foundation I was currently looking at. She told me it would look horrible on my skin and I shouldn't even be looking at it and I needed to get the other one the computer recommended, which made me upset because I had searched through soooooo many reviews of that product and had heard it was really good for dry skin, but I guess she knows everything. She could tell I was upset and she couldn't think of any other foundations to recommend so she handed me off to a different employee. This girl took me to two different foundations that she recommended but when it came to matching me for the right color so I could get a sample, she went on about how since my skin is red I'd need a yellow toned foundation to cancel it out. Yellow. On extremely pale skin. Also since when is yellow the opposite of red? But I digress. I told her I am going to be the lightest shade and that anything with yellow in it is going to make me look really orange. She continued going on about how I needed yellow and something darker, so I let her pick the shades she thought were best hoping somehow they'd match. Sure enough, when I got home and applied them, my face looked orange and way darker than my natural skin tone. I'm pretty frustrated with the experience and I don't like that they just rely on a computer to tell them what products to recommend. None of the employees seemed knowledgeable about the products. Perhaps it isn't their fault, it's the management for not training them, or maybe the employees just don't care. Either way I'm extremely displeased. Damn. Still the worse customer service ever at this location. Useless clown faces. I dropped in to grab a lipstick and get out but nope. They ran out of the shade I wanted and I wanted them to check if there's some in the back.. no help. I saw some employees, went after them but they were busy or really into browsing and walking swiftly away- staying totally elusive, never making eye contact. Ok. So I resorted to standing in line at the cash register for help. I'd go to the one in JC Penny's but that one doesn't have Vincent Longo.. and they are much nicer over there And not stingy with the samples. Again with the weirdness of the free samples here. All other sephora's are generous with that stuff except for this one still. Whats up with that? I asked for one with my purchase cuz 3 were out on display by the register (usually you get 3, even with online orders) and the lady hesitated... long ass pause, reluctantly asked me if I was a beauty insider. Which you don't need to be.. but I am. Long story short. I know never to even inquire next time at this location, which you usually never have to at others- cuz she made me feel like she didn't want to give them out. ugh. I'd rather test my patience and order online. This place sucks. They are always out of stock and I use various brands, Nars, Urban Decay, SmashBox, etc.. extremely flaky, never helpful, ever elusive yet there's plenty of them prancing around. First time coming in last night and it was my birthday! I had ever been to a full sized Sephora, I had no idea this was there!! I had been going to that mini one in JCpenny for the last year, walking into this store was like a kid walking into build a bear. My heart stopped. Everything was very clean and beautiful, a very good example of what I expect from the Sephora brand. Every single person I talked to, (which was probably everyone because I was there for two hours looking through everything!) were SO nice and incredibly helpful and seemed happy to work there. Even though I was there until 10 minutes to closing, everyone was happy. (I say that because I typically try to go places early because people are usually more grumpy at the end of their shift at most places, these girls still acted like they had just started their shift!) The lovely perfume women who I VERY much wish I knew her name, I just feel so awkward looking in that area for a name tag so I couldn't even tell you if they wear them, she was extremely helpful and kind even though I took AN HOUR of her time. She was more than willing to help and even offered to help me again when I left and came back and was looking more at perfumes. I came in wanting Chanel no. 5, which I had never smelled before but knew it was an absolute classic that everyone raves about so it HAD to smell amazing, and was disappointed with the scent. It just wasn't for me. She helped me by asking what I typically wear and the smells I like, (which this was my first time REALLY buying perfume so I didn't know very much) and helped me sample a lot of different perfumes and told me the tones it it and about the brand. I was deciding between 4 different perfumes for about half an hour and I felt so bad, but high end perfumes are fairly expensive for me so I definitely didn't want to impulse buy and she seemed very patient, non pushy, and just very happy to be working there. In the end I admitted to her that I LOVED one of the perfumes but I was worried that one of the undertones in it would make my BO smell worse/mix with it when I sweat. It was a beautiful scent but just not on me. She sprayed it on my arm to get a better idea and smelled it and was able to understand more of how they wear on me, and so she thought for second and suggested a similar perfume but with different notes, I believe that it was peony VS jasmine or something similar. That perfume was Chanel Chance and I fell in love!!! We ended up going home with that one and I could not be more happy. Usually when you spend 100$ you're a mixed emotion of happy and nervous about your purchase, but after spending an hour with her and REALLY making sure it was right for me, I'm 100% happy. While we were there we were also able to have someone just quickly help me look for a conditioner for my frizzy dry hair that I'm trying to bring back, and a good moisturizer!! I got samples to try out at home. Everyone is so happy to help. I will ALWAYS go to this Sephora from now on. Sorry that this review is so long but I had a GREAT experience. read more
