I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Sephora. Back in December 2025, I purchased a gift card in-store as a gift for my cousin. Recently, she tried to use it--only to find out the balance was $0. There were no purchases made on it, which leads me to believe the card was never activated properly at the time of purchase. I've tried multiple times to contact the store directly, but the phone system just loops back to the main menu with no way to speak to an actual person. I also reached out to Sephora customer service, and instead of resolving the issue, I was told to go back to the store (which is not close to me) or dispute the charge with my bank because this is apparently a "common" issue. That response alone is unacceptable. If this is a known problem, why isn't there a better process in place to support customers? This was meant to be a thoughtful gift, and instead it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Between the lack of accountability, poor customer service, and no real resolution, this has completely changed how I view Sephora. I hope this review helps others double-check their gift cards before leaving the store--and I sincerely hope Sephora improves how they handle situations like this. read more

I came in to grab a few things, use up a gift card and get my birthday reward. No greeting upon entering, multiple employees on the floor just stare at you without saying anything, we made quite a few loops around the store and I didn't get any acknowledgement until we were standing in the checkout line. Easy to navigate the aisles and find things. Just overall a good vibe here (compared to other makeup stores around the corner). Came to this location last night with my daughter and the same employees kept asking us repeatedly if we needed help. I understand that it's their job to ask if we need help but when it's the same person asking 3 to 4 times it becomes uncomfortable.. I believe they stereotyped us because we came in wearing black sweaters yet we were the only ones in there pretty much and we ended up spending money because I told my daughter that she could get what she wanted. That is the reason that we were there. But it felt so uncomfortable. I guess because my daughter is an adult they thought maybe we were friends but no that is my daughter and I was treating her to a nice Sephora evening. Went to this store for a specific fragrance. Tried to get help, every staff I approached quickly pretended to be busy and walked away. Finally asked a woman to get the large size of what I needed. She rolled her eyes and turned away with a high sigh. I told her I would no longer be needing her help and would shop elsewhere. No apology, nothing. I walked over to Macys and dropped almost a grand on everything so needed and was helped by the most kind and considerate person. Do better Sephora. I won't ever shop this location again. So I don't shop here a lot because I prefer to go au naturale on most days. There are some peeps who are into makeup and the whole 9 but I don't have time for that. I shop here once in a while and whenever I do, I stick to basics like powder foundation, lip gloss/liners, lotions and mascaras/brow pencils. The last time I was here, I went specifically for Patrick Starr's One Size makeup line. I got the concealer, pressed powder and the eyeliner. I had to go back and exchange the powder twice because lighting in the store isn't all that great. I may not know all there is to know about makeup application, but I do know that natural sunlight is the best light to do your makeup in. The ladies who helped me on both occasions were very helpful. They didn't seem annoyed with me wanting to exchange the foundation. Sephora is great because they'll let you return or exchange pretty much anything with a receipt so be sure to keep yours! The second time I went back, they were out of the Medium 1 shade. I still haven't gone back to see if it ever came in but it must be a popular shade because it was also sold out online. I'm giving 4 stars because I was told that I'd get an email when they got it back in stock. It's been about 5 months and I haven't received an email. I guess I'll just have to waltz back in one day to check when I'm at the mall shopping for other things. Overall, this is a nice store and one of the bigger ones out there. There's also a smaller location inside the mall, you'll find it inside JC Penney. This one is outside the Promenade mall in Temecula near Yard House. Parking can be nuts but I have my usual secret spot I always park at when I'm here. You can park on the metered street parking or in the garage. Happy shopping!! read more

From a lot of the other reviews I'm reading about this location, it seems like place has problems. My problems started when I approached two employees who were chit-chatting with a customer. Neither employee was helping the customer, they were having a personal conversation. Finally after looking back and forth at the 2 employees several times (they absolutely knew I was there), one of them finally turns to me looking a little annoyed and asked me what I want. I asked if one of them could color match me to an Anastasia foundation. Instead of helping me, one of them got a cringy look on her face and the other one says "well, I'm a manager, so I'll find someone to help you". Then she tapped something into her phone and turned back to her personal conversation with the customer and the other employee. I stood there wondering why she couldn't just help me, but whatever. Anyway, I stood there for 3-4 minutes, which is a long time when you're waiting for help, but no one ever came to help me. I just watched several employees walk around aimlessly. I finally had to approach another employee to ask for help, but she was very unenthusiastic too as she brushed some product on my cheek with this bored, dead pan look on her face. I had to pull information out of her because she seemed very uninterested in helping me. Well, I found out later from the register associate that she was a "brand rep", so her disinterest in helping me with a different brand made sense I guess - to her. So, now it's time for me to get on line and when I finally get to the front, I'm waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting. Do you want to know why ? I'm waiting because there was one associate ringing customers up. There were 4 registers and ONE person helping check out a line of ten people. There was another associate standing next to her the entire time talking,, so I assumed (incorrectly) that she was being trained by the first employee. NOPE, wrong again. This second employee was busy having a personal conversation with the two dudes being rung up by the first associate. Mind you, both registers faced the other direction, so both employees backs were to the line. I can only assume that they figured we couldn't see or hear their personal conversation. Wrong once again. Finally, after she's finished talking to dude #1, she turns around to see me looking extremely irritated and she calls me over. She then tries to be overly friendly because she can see how upset I was, but at this point, it was too little too late. I just wanted to get the hell out of there with my $100 purchase. I've been a Sephora customer for many years and I've never experienced such terrible customer service, ever. It SUCKED on every level. I know I'm not exactly the ideal Sephora customer demographic as a 57 year old female, but sheesh, at least try to fake a little enthusiasm. Well, at least the two makeup buying dudes got some enthusiasm, way more than I did. Sephora needs to do better and that manager definitely should've done better, in my opinion. I just moved to the Murrieta area and I honestly don't want to return to that location. How much worse could it get ? I definitely don't want to find out. read more

Every time I walk into this location, I am quickly reminded why I should not spend even $1 here! I came in close to opening yesterday, so was the only shopper. Despite being the only customer, I was never asked if I needed help, the employees were in groups talking about personal things (some topics no one of the public should have to hear) and when I did go to ask someone for help, she held up her finger and pointed to someone else. She didn't even have the decency to speak to me. These people are the most rude and unhelpful customer service reps I've experienced. I put my products back and decided to buy elsewhere. Absolutely 5 stars for makeup artist Sophia. I went in for the 75-minute makeup lesson, and she went above and beyond. She does a consultation and listens to exactly what you want. She found an amazing foundation that matched my skin perfectly and explained in detail what she was doing step by step. I was able to purchase the products that she used, what a bonus. This Sephora is the busiest location I have ever seen. They were out of stock of so many things! I stopped by because I wanted to try some lip color from Rare Beauty. They were completely out of pretty much everything from this line. No problem I'll get a vegan eyeliner. They were out of that too. I got some kind of lipgloss from Too Faced in one of the two colors they had in stock. The staff was friendly when they rang me up & it's not their fault this location is so popular. I will order online or shop in another store next time tho. read more

I am Giving this place two stars only. Simply because they are fully stocked with tons of products as it's very clean. BUT their service is terrible. They have only one person on the floor and two on register which r tremendously slow because the line wrapped around one of the aisles. I went in on my birthday to redeem a birthday voucher AND hand in mind to buy this yellow hair straightener that I'd been wanting. However I had some questions and needed help. I saw a gentleman helping out a customer, I walked around to see if I could find someone else but there wasn't. I waiting a few minutes to see if he would be done but he wasn't. Long story short I waiting 10 min to get help, no one else came out. I had an obvious look on my face that I was looking for someone who works there. So another 5 min went buy and nothing. All in all I was in the store for a good 20 min and ended up leaving. No birthday reward or new hair straightener. My recommendation would be to have someone sitting @ the door greeting customers and offering their assistance. i don't normally leave reviews for sephora bc i frequently shop there so much but i had one of the greatest experiences this monday. my sister and i were approached by Lady who asked if we needed anything and i was telling her that my foundation always tends to oxidize every-time no matter what brand i use and my skin is SUPER PALE. she proceeds to ask me which ones i've used and recommended YSL. she matched my foundation and recommended a primer, and had me try the urban decay one and i fell in love w the YSL. I am new to the area and was coming from a 6 hour road trip to attend a wedding. I realized I forgot my mascara and lashes. I received minimal help from the greeters by the door about where to find things since I wasn't accustomed to the layout. They were only interested in their conversations with each other. And was brushed off for the next customer. Honestly, I was dressed like a bum so I felt like I didn't meet criteria in this fancy area. Their saving grace was an associate named Barbie who had overheard my needs and pointed me in the direction of the product I needed and even suggested a better product that came in a set. Shoutout to my girl Savanah for coming through with great makeup! At first I was worried I was too talkative for her, but we ended up getting along so well. I am NOT a big makeup wearer (I only do eyeliner, lipgloss, and maybe mascara on the reg), so I tend to give the artists free reign as long as I stay closer to natural, and further away from 'geisha'. Since I was going to a wedding, I wanted full coverage and to look classy. When she went a little too pink on my eye shadow, I asked her to change it, and she did it without any hesitation. I felt bad because I knew she had worked hard on it, but she had no problem making it right to make me feel more comfortable with the look. I really appreciated that. She asked if I preferred to do my own bottom eyeliner, which made me feel better, because I get antsy when people try and do it. Want to warn everyone that Sephora has a $ limit to how much you can return in total (in store and online) in one year even if nothing is opened and therefore, not tried. Since not everything is in store anymore, the store sample are bacteria traps (see a recent article in Daily Mail), it's just more convenient to order online, and the company itself promotes shopping online with their constant emails, this is a warning to everyone. I legitimately am the highest level which is only achieved by buying and KEEPING a certain dollar amount of merch. I buy a lot. Sometimes I keep it, sometimes I return it having tried it, and sometimes I return it just knowing it won't work once I see it in person or have tried a different color but just don't like the product. However, they make NO distinction in store whether it's been tried or not. So it ALL counts against you. Their policy doesn't state an amount, they just tell you you're not allowed to return anything for 365 days even if you have outstanding online orders. You're sunk. Just a warning for those legitimately trying their products not any of you "perpetual use the product for an event or a time and return" shady people. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE!! My daughter and I walked in 1 minute before they closed. Pretty inconvenient to close at 6.m. during summer break. (That's a whole separate issue) The girl who greeted us at the door made sure to inform us "we're closing in 1 minute" There are so many other ways that could have been said. While we were in there (for a total of less than 4 minutes) we were approached by 3 different associates rushing us along asking "can we help with anything because we are closed" . The main focus was on kicking us out not assisting us with anything, Never in my life of shopping retail have I ever been treated that way. The cherry on top was getting to the register and having the associate with purple hair who rung me up rolling her eyes and making faces as I asked what color the birthday gift box I selected was. She was clearly irritated. When I pulled out my gift cards I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown. She made a few huff and puff noises and was RUDE AF. The experience in its entirety rubbed me the wrong way. I will be ordering my products online from now on. The store was dirty and the associates were RUDE. No one wants to shop in a store with rude sales people.....plain and simple. What a piss poor representation of the Sephora brand. Terrible customer service at this location. 1 working the cash register and a handful of workers standing around. They all have that ability to help checkout customers. The employee with a butterfly neck tattoo had no problem checking me out on her handheld device when I was holding a bottle of Chanel perfume last week. Today she rolled her eyes and stood there moving her hands in a calm down fashion to a customer. Do yourself a favor and go to another location where the employees do not act in this fashion. I had a hydra facial recently and had amazing service. Everyone is so sweet and helpful, Cristy (I probably spelled her name wrong, I'm sorry!) is sooo awesome and professional. She did my facial and helped me pick some skin care tailored to my needs. She was super down to earth and just all around great to talk with. Amanda LOVED my 7 month old daughter Brooke and spent so much time making us comfortable, and Brooke fell in love with her. Amanda is a mom herself and she played peek a boo, loved on her, and it was such a beautiful thing to see. Even the male manager who I forgot to ask to the name of was so sweet, brooke dropped her toy twice and he got it back to us lol Everyone is great. Super helpful, super sweet, and make you feel so welcome. They even let me run to get brooke a diaper change and let me feed her a bottle while I had my facial done.
