I love this Sephora and am surprised to see it doesn't have a higher rating. While parking can be a little challenging due to the crowds at Tempe Marketplace, it's fairly easy to access. As far as Sephoras go, it's mid-size so doesn't carry every single product line, but has a great selection and isn't overly loud -- a few locations I've been to have had club-level music! This store is always clean, well-stocked, and well-staffed. The people working here are great! I'm not a huge makeup person and they always listen and help me find products that fit what I'm looking for. And I do not know how they do it but they are amazing at color matching! I am always so off and they do a great job. I always enjoy my shopping experiences here. read more

"VERY EXPENSIVE" Trying these new products out and seeing if they are worth the money. Hopefully they will make a difference on my skin. They get 4 stars because they signed me up for the credit card and they made the mistake of putting the total on the credit card after I asked them that I would pay for it separately with debit. They couldn't fix it and told me to wait for an email. I have not gotten an email so now I have to wait on hold and call customer service. read more

I love Sephora and all the products they carry. However, each and every time I walk in there, whether it's to shop or pick up an online order, I am met with rude employees. Either they hate their jobs or they are thrive off of being so mean to customers. It honestly makes me dread going there. This Sephora has some of the best trained staff out of every location in the valley. They will spend lengthy amount of times with you and give honest recommendations on products. If they don't have something they will genuinely check stock for you to make sure they don't have it and order it for you if not. I've never returned a product recommended to me by staff here. I'm a VIB rouge member and visit this sephora at least monthly and the staff here never disappoints. Everyone is gorgeous too. read more

I know there's a stigma at a lot of makeup retail places that the associates make you feel inferior if your makeup isn't on point, but not here! I walked in to get a replacement for my foundation and mascara and the ladies were so helpful and listened to me. I was offered new products, but if it isn't broke don't fix it. I don't have prior experience with bronzers but they were helpful in tips for someone just starting out. Alison was so sweet and helpful from just looking around to checking out. There was another associate there that was just as sweet and helpful as well but I didn't catch her name. I ended up leaving with more than I originally went in for, and I'm excited to try it all out! read more

Every single time I walk into this Sephora the associates won't leave me alone and about 7 of them kept asking if I needed help and it feels like I'm being watched like I'm gonna steal the stuff or something. It honestly was pissing me off. I was in there for the vib sale and just wanted to peruse the aisles and see what caught by eye without every single associate on my ass. Everyone stay away from this place. 10 different associates will repeatedly bug you and it's obvious they think you're suspicious looking. Take your precious coin somewhere else. read more

I came into this store today to return or possibly exchange a foundation due to the color not matching. I couldn't find the receipt for the life of me but I remembered I used my personal credit card and linked my purchase to my Insider Beauty account. The employee who "helped" me told me right away that there was nothing she could do about it and that I would need to call Sephora customer service. I called from the parking lot and the customer rep told me that just by giving her my phone number, she was able to find my purchase... The customer service rep told me to go back in and ask the woman to run my phone number or email. I was not about to waste my time twice. Long story short- drive a little further to the Scottsdale Fashion Square and go to that Sephora. They just processed my return and apologized on behalf of the Tempe location. I just hate that I wasted my time and gas by even going to that first Sephora. read more

I always try and give this Sephora a shot but they just never seem to have the items I'm looking for in stock. I came in for a set of eye lashes and normally my go to brand (Huda) is out but this time they had it!! Yaya. The only reason I didn't buy anything is due to the way a sales girl approached me. I was looking in the Sephora brand eye-lashes area and there were about 4 different sets and that was it. I tried to open the drawer below.. maybe I wasn't supposed too?? But I closed the drawer due to it being empty. Jasmine then came around the cash register yelling over the kiosk if "I needed help finding anything" but her tone was anything but helpful and nice. I then asked if the store had any eyelash sets, she responded my pointing to corners and kiosks but didn't make the effort to show me... till I asked. After showing me the not wide selection which is fine I decided not to buy. Customer service is everything, especially when a customer is looking for an item. read more

Usually have a pleasant experience at this location . However today making a return was ridiculous . Opening a perfectly sealed unopened package and questioning me 6 times on why I need to return it . Never had a problem with returns before and this girl that helped today pissed me off beyond belief . I will probably stay clear of this location for awhile . Had a last minute beauty crisis when Ulta canceled my hair and makeup appointment day-of my service. I stopped in JCP hoping for services at the salon and to at least maybe get help with a look for my eyes or contour or something. After explaining my situation to the manager, Summer, she quickly jumped into action with her associate Alex. These ladies were AMAZING. They were so kind and accommodating, they squeezed in some extra time to complete full-face makeup so that I was wedding-ready! I was given compliments on my makeup all night long! Alex is very knowledgable of her products, she was able to help other customers locate items and make recommendations, all while helping me with my look. I feel confident with the products she recommended that I will be able to re-create my look in the future. I will 100% return here for my future beauty needs.
