So, I love Sephora but this place left a bad taste in my mouth. I came in looking for a specific shade of Tarte foundation. When I went over to the Tarte display there was a customer and sales associate standing in front of it, so I waited on the side until they were done. When I was able to make my way into the display I was clearly looking for something and the lovely associate who had just been helping an customer in the same place, completely ignored me. I looked in the entire display and even opened the drawer at the bottom ( where I'm pretty sure customers can't go). This heifer didn't pay any attention to me. As I keep looking, she comes over to another customer standing next to me and asks her if she need any help. Really?? I was able to find what I needed from another associate but I couldn't believe she didn't even ask me if I needed help. I felt like I overreacted once I left the store but I found it pretty rude, since every other Sephora I have been to usually has at least 2 people who ask me if I need assistance. read more

I went to Sephora tonight initially it was a rough start. But then Ruby came over did my Color IQ test she was very knowledgeable and honest with her opinion. She gave great suggestions on other products to buy (which I did). Even though they didn't have one product I wanted Ruby made a great suggestion for an alternative. This is the first Sephora that I've been too that offered great customer service I didn't feel rushed and when she did leave she said she would check back with me and she did. Nasty, unprofessional manager. Some nice workers but some are unprofessional. This store is frequently dirty with overflowing garbage, garbage on the actual clean containers where you get cotton pads, missing alcohol to clean products for you to try on. Will never return. read more

Very clean and friendly for a Sephora. It's been here over a year and it still looks super new. You would have expected the service to get worse as time has gone on but it has actually gotten better. You're not just walking around by yourself there's always someone nearby willing to help and usually point you in the right direction haha. It's not a one stop shop for me but its a fun stop shop :) read more

Had an amazing experience with makeup artist Stephanie. Not only did she do my makeup beautifully she was so helpful in answering my questions regarding different skin issues I was having. She even gave me a free sampler of exfoliation cream which helped me tremendously. The rest of the sephora team was so cheerful. I went in with the intention to only try on a few things when I was greeted by Jillian. She was super helpful and her makeup was done perfectly in a style I loved! She asked me lots of engaging questions and how I liked to do my makeup which made me comfortable that she would recommend things for my needs. She also educated me a lot in skincare and gave me samples of things to try out that she thought I'd like based on my taste and skin type. Such a beautiful girl and definitely made me feel like I was talking to an old friend and not a robotic sales person. Definitely will be going back to see her and I recommend asking for her as well! My only negative was there was a lady who kept interrupting me while I was with her and kept circling me while I was looking around. read more

I first walked into Sephora when my 5yo daughter walked by the store on 5th Ave and begged me to go in. Eight years later, it is still one of her favorite mommy/daughter things to do and being that the one on 5th is right near my office, I have spent way too much money at that location and the one on 42nd St. in the past 8 years. This week we walked into the Sephora in Ridge Hill for the first time. It was smaller than we're used to but that was fine. What ruined our shopping experience was that while doing our usual mommy/daughter thing- browsing and trying different things (NOT STEALING!) - we realized that we were being watched and followed around the store. I had a great customer service experience here yesterday. I came in with my makeup done, just to buy lashes and have them put on for a wedding I was attending. Michelle helped me pick out the perfect lashes and Tracy flawlessly put them on for me. Even though the store was exceptionally busy at that time, the staff went out of their way to help my fiancé make his bow tie! Who does that? This Sephora location used to be very helpful in the opening days, however the service is absolutely terrible. I work in this mall and understand working in retail. I have visited this place twice in the past year and never going again. The last two recent visits was where I asked the beauty blenders were. An associate gave me attitude and told me that it was by the cash wrap like I was stupid. I'm sorry? Secondly, I had to return this Benefit Porefessional because it wasn't doing it's justice with my skin. In the malfunction process of being refunded, the associate at the cash wrap told me, "I told you to click the cancel button twice already" and rolled her eyes at me. That action already lost my visits at this Sephora location. The customer service needs to improve ASAP. And according to these reviews here on Yelp, it's a wake up call. I have tried contacting the Sephora customer service on this location but they have not answered back. I'll stick to the location at the Westchester Mall. read more

Why bother with the unevolved hired workers at Ridge Hill Saphora who may or may not give you the attention you deserve when making extremely important and expensive beauty desicions about products you will be stuck with for a long time when right next door is Lord and Taylor. They have a long tradition of always offering complete professionalism 100% of the time in a very elegant setting for the same prices. The lighting at Lord and Taylor's for seeing yourself is better too! read more

While at this Sephora today, I had quite an unpleasant experience. As a makeup Artist, I love Sephora or any makeup giant store for that matter and visit it quite frequently to update my supply. I use many techniques to apply eyeshadow, foundation, and one is with my fingers. Now let's be honest here, at every Sephora you have hundreds of women taking the tester pots or makeup and swatching them on their hands, lips, eyes, cheeks, all with their fingers. So, I wipe my finger clean with alcohol, and wipe the eyeshadow with alcohol as well, kill any germs. i start to apply my eyeshadow with my fingers to test out the color on the eyelid bc this would ultimately finalize if I would purchase it. A blonde sales lady comes to me, "Ewwww". I look at her a little dazed. She asks me if I cleaned my finger, I said of course. Rudely she says, "Use a brush" I responded, "No thanks, I like to use my finger." "Ewwww" again she says disgustingly. Again, I look at her now like whats her problem?? You use your finger..? Yes I do.....on myself, clients.........I told her every artist is different and if she knew makeup would know that many professional makeup artist greats use their fingers almost 80% of the time too. She just stood there with her rudeness continuing on and on to the point where I just got disgusted and no longer wanted to purchase. I understand what she was saying, but dont tell someone ewww especially if they are a professional, And the way she handled the customer service aspect was a total fail. Approach is key. If you dont approach someone well, how can you be expect to treat them well? I would have reported this woman to Management but I have a good heart so Ill let her slide. I hope she reads this and learns how to better repond to her customers, especially with someone who has worked alongside big Makeup Artists, :) read more
