The store is amazing with a wide selection of cheeses, desserts, ice cream, and a eatery for sandwiches. We ate the farmhouse burger, and the honey bacon sandwich. They all come with chips and pickles. Cheese tarts tasted fresh and the lemon ice cream was creamy. They have a factory in the back to handmade their cheese which was nice to see. So many people I know absolutely rave about September Farms, and I can see why. It is an Amish run business in a quaint small town in PA that makes all of their food from scratch. First up, I went to the coffee shop and ordered a spotted mocha latte, which so happens to be one of their most popular. Honestly, it was one of the best mocha coffees I've had In a while. Not too sweet, but sweet enough to where it doesn't feel like you're drinking straight up coffee. I also went and ordered a bacon grilled cheese from their sandwich shop. I just got the standard side of chips and pickles. The pickles were definitely house made, and I want to say that the chips are made in house, but they also did taste like ones you could get from a bag. The grilled cheese was good. A little greasy, but then again it's a grilled cheese with bacon. The workers here are very friendly and seem willing to go out of their way to help the customers. I am not sure if I would go out of my way to go to September Farms, but if I am ever in the area, I'd probably stop for a coffee. read more

Husband and I have been dining here for many yrs almost every Friday for dinner. Everyone knows us we spend a lot of money every Friday and we like all of the employees. Things are changing they have changed some recipies, that we have been purchasing for yrs. One is the quesadilla that sells for ten or eleven dollars. This product always had a decent amount of chicken and cheese and sauce and we purchased on every Friday along with dinner. That's over it's an empty shell with practically no cheese or chicken or sauce and the shell is terrible. Tried it twice thinking it was a mistake .It was not and it's terrible. I know times are changing and everything cost more. The prices have went up and all the important ingredients are fading away , and that makes sept farms status quo . Even your amazing wraps have taken a big hit. And you no longer serve the rottiserie chicken. We would rather pay more than lose the quality of your food. I try to go in with an open mind, but leaving annoyed yet again. $4.79 for French fries that come out lukewarm and old looking. It's busy so why? So I take them back up and they said they'll make a new batch for us. Waited forever - went back up to ask and girl is like oh no, hold on I forgot. Goes back to food prep area - talks to younger food handler back and forth and he says he has some sitting there but she says they're not hot so she dumps them back in the frier real quick and brings them out on a plate - I told her I don't want double dipped fries. I would like new hot fries. How hard is it to make fresh hot fries for an order. Less talking back in food prep area on a busy night might help. This place is just a tourist trap and nothing more. Super cute place that I'm sad I've been passing by for years! Finally stopped in around 730am on a Monday morning and the restaurant already had a crowd on hand. I browsed the pre packaged goods, purchased a to-go breakfast sandwich, and stopped at the bakery counter on my way out. I picked up a salaried caramel donut and a whoopie pie. I love donuts, I eat them somewhat frequently, and I will say that this donut was HUGE and also in my top 3 best donuts ever. The dough had that nice chew, but was still light and airy. The caramel and chocolate on top were delicious and just the tiny bit of coarse salt sprinkled over it made the flavors all mesh perfectly. I'll be back for that donut, specifically. The breakfast sandwich was on a bun and I was skeptical at first, however, pleasantly surprised. The inside of the bun was toasted and it held up for the entirety of me eating the sandwich. Came here for the first time for breakfast with the family on a Saturday morning. What's hot - Options. There appears to be something for everyone- baked goods, nuts, pretzels, ice cream, breakfast, sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, cheeses, spreads, etc.... However, I'm uncertain whether their options are vegan friendly. - Price. From what I saw, their options are pretty reasonably priced, especially given the amount you're paying for. For example, their veggie omelette is $8.99 and includes toast. Their breakfast sandwiches are generally less than $10 and are pretty good portions. Definitely enough to get you full. - Service. The morning we came, they were offering free samples of roasted nuts (specifically sugar roasted cashews), which were warm and yummy. Their ice cream is available in the morning, too! Nothing wrong with that! It's nice to have that as an option. - Quality. Pretty delish. I ordered a veggie omelette and there were plenty of sautéed veggies in the omelette. Cheesy, too. No skimping on ingredients, which we definitely appreciated. - Portions. For the most part, what they're selling is pretty reasonably priced. However, I don't recommend their hash browns. They're definitely not made in-house and they're small. - Playground. There's a small playground to the side for the little ones, which is definitely helpful. What's not - Seating. It's outdoor seating. I didn't see any indoor seating, but maybe I'm missing something. - Health and safety. No one was masked. During this time of the pandemic, it's reassuring when businesses that regularly interact with the public take extra precautions for everyone's health and safety. Good stop when on a Lancaster road trip, but nothing special. Very touristy, the gift shop/country store has the same jams and candy that everyone in Lancaster County has. My biggest problem is that I just don't like their cheese, I've tried often, it's underwhelming. Considering it's their own product, it's also very expensive, i.e. looking at the cheese shop prices. We ate at the sandwich shop, it was ok, pretty much everything is fried. I had some fried corn ball, which I never had before, that was delicious. We also tried their hot food, and all three of us had the crabcake dinner...2 nice size crabcakes (filled with crab not filler), french fries, coleslaw, cornbread, and a small cheese sampler of their cheeses (3 small cubes) and it was all excellent. Interesting place that is combination farm, market and retail store. How odd to see what appeared to be an Amish girl working the iPad register at the cafe. We ordered two sandwiches to eat on the front porch. Order and they hand you a beeper and you come in to pick up. Sandwiches were well prepared - nice Reuben and a turkey sandwich that wasn't particularly memorable except that it was good. The highlight were the cheese curds with dipping sauce.
