We recently purchased a home and started having problems with our septic system (water pooling around the tank) and called Sequoia Septic for assistance. I was going through my home warranty company which required that the chosen contractor was both licensed and insured. Jorge reassured me that he was so I booked him to come assess my situation. His service fee was $100. He recommended that the tank be pumped to better visualize the problem, which we did costing $500. From there he recommended that we contact the seller of our home to have the company who installed the tank come do the repairs as it was less than a year old and was likely an issue with the installation. When I was submitting my paperwork with the home warranty company they required me to submit the contractors license number for reimbursement. I reached out to Jorge and he said that he did not have a contractors license. This was a surprise to me as I had confirmed this directly with him prior to being hired. He told me he responded "yes" when I asked if he was licensed because he has a business license. I felt deceived by Jorge. Did he really think that I wanted to know if he had a business license? Since Jorge was not a licensed professional I was not reimbursed the $600 from my warranty company. I would have never hired Sequoia Septic for the job and would have gone with a licensed contractor if Jorge had been honest with me from the start. read more

The gentleman that comes out to do our service is wonderful! He has been helping my parents for years with his services. Today I went to my mother's and the toilets, shower, and kitchen sink were all backing up-ugh! And it's raining and how many days until Christmas? I told my Mom to call Sequoia right away to see if they could come out before Xmas. The owner answered and said that he was on vacation but would find someone to help us. He then called back in 5 minutes and said not to worry that he would be out tomorrow! At 8am-now that is super, above and beyond service! Bless him! All the family is coming for Xmas and this could have been a disaster if not for Sequoia! There are good guys out there.... 12/22 They showed up at 7:15am, pumped the tank and still weren't pleased with the results. Highly recommended! We have a pit with grinder ejector pump by the house that pumps uphill to the rest of the septic system. The pump would not shut off. I called three local companies; left messages at two and only George of Sequoia Septic answered directly. He said he could come the next day and promptly arrived as promised, removed the pump, tested it, determined the problem was blockage at the pump intake, and removed the blockage and restarted the system, all in less than an hour. The other two companies suggested that the pump probably needed to be replaced; instead, Sequoia saved me a couple of thousand dollars by getting to the source of the problem rather than speculating. read more

Excellent service from Sequoia! Yesterday my toilet overflowed and then water came up through the bathtub too yikes! It was a Sunday so choices were limited but I called roto rooter to come out. They said that I needed to have my septic tank pumped and that's what was causing the back up. So I started researching septic companies and called about 6 different places Monday morning. Sequoia was the only company out of the 6 I called that returned my call. They called me about 15 minutes after I left them a message. ( side note: it's now 1:30pm and still none of the other companies have called back!) When you have water coming into your tub and can't use your bathrooms you want someone to call back quickly. So after talking to sequoia he was able to see my before noon, from phone call to arrival was 3.5 hours, that's amazing service!!! He pumped the tank because it was full but also showed me that a clogged pipe inside the septic is what had caused the back up. He cleaned everything out and assured me everything will work as normal now. He was so informative, courteous, on time and fast/ efficient , I will use them for all our septic needs and highly recommend. Great work!! read more

Got a neighbor recommendation to pump out my septic tank so called George and he was here pumping my tank a couple days later. Very prompt and friendly and his cost was reasonable. The tank hadn't been pumped in many years and took 2-3 x longer than normal so George could have charged more than he quoted but didn't. I had George Jr come out the next morning and install 2 septic risers so now I'm ready to have George come out on a regular basis to pump the tank. Highly recommended! read more

I just had Sequoia ( Jorge) come out to pump 2 tanks on my property in Sebastopol. He was incredibly thorough. One of the tanks had some problems both with access and an accumulation of dirt in the bottom. He took extra time to assess the problem and pump out everything he could.
