June 2025 We had contacted KC originally due to a persistent leak that occurred from the upstairs into the downstairs doorway. We weren't sure where or how to address things and KC came highly recommended for the area. Virginia contacted me initially from customer care to get an outline of what the issue was and set a time for a technician to make it out to the house for an inspection. She was very helpful with any questions that I had. Jonathan was the tech that had come out to assist. He was very straight forward and we had a discussion as far as what had happened thus far to make an assessment for the body of work. We went with the most common issue of a wax seal eroding which was causing the minor leak. If it continued to persist, then it could be addressed later. Currently, still no leak so it definitely fixed the issue at hand. The work was quick and prices set for the business. We actually had a second visit not too long following this when our kitchen sink had decided to get backed up and begin leaking water everywhere a week later. Daniel was the tech that had come out to assist. While he was setting things up for the work, he had explained different parts of the process for it, weighed costs of replacement parts, and different options on that end since we were due for another disposal. I also learned that there's outdoor spouts for the line from the kitchen, and line from the house in case things get backed up again. The work was quick and timely. Images for each job both before and after to document progress were also sent after which is a nice touch. Would definitely recommend and will use their services again I'm sure. read more

These guys know what they're doing! Had a leak from an upstairs bathroom that went thru our ceiling downstairs. Called some company? Had to cut out the ceiling, repair pipes then patch the ceiling. 7 months later it's leaking thru again. The company we used said "oh yeah you had lots of rusted out pipes and connections" I was like"why didn't you address that when we had a 5 foot hole in our ceiling???" We called them to check their work and they said it would be a month out just to look. So we called KC Home Services and they came right out within a day or two, assessed, repaired and got us on a annual service plan. Hired them to do some shower wall panels and install some shower fixtures . They did install the panels . However when they drilled holes for the shower components they did not measure the size of the holes for the shower fixtures first . They drilled THREE holes too big ! Now I'm stuck with a shower wall I can't use . There is no way to install the shower trim making it water tight . Not even with caulk or silicone . Now I'm stuck ordering a new shower wall , ripping it out , redoing the water tight backing etc . Who does this ? The technician admitted to me he didn't measure the holes before cutting . The company management has been responding to my requests. They did have the courtesy to not charge me for the work they did . This doesn't negate the fact that they damaged an 800 dollar shower panel , and all the work going into replacing it . read more

He was so professional and just all around cool, and he even showed me how to declog my own sink if needed after I told him that my 6-year-old clogs it all of the time. They never returned to do a hot water heater flush they said they'd perform. On another occasion, after my purchase of a Kozy wall heater from them a few years ago, the heater stopped working. After a few months of not working, I called KC only to be told by Virginia they no longer provide service for the heater. She suggested I call in an emergency gas leak and said spiders could have caused the problem. I refused to take her suggestion and complained online. It was then I received a call saying they would repair the heater, which they did. The initial repairman advised that repair would be followed up shortly for the hot water heater flushing. That was months ago. I never heard from them again. Virginia told me the flushing would be free due to the previous problems. "Excellent Customer Service?" Not in my opinion. Buyer beware. Needed a kitchen drain cleared. That's all. Communication and phone service was good. On time. Daniel was slick, clearly had sales training. He strongly suggested going under the house to "make sure the pipes were good" and his clearing the drain would not be in vain. He was intentionally vague about the cost of clearing the drain. After going under the house, taking pictures, he suggested the pipes that were professionally installed only 6 years ago be changed out. When pressed again for the price of the drain he quoted $359. and the replacement pipes of $3,771. I told him to leave. He wasted my time. I called a Craigslist plumber, who was responsive, professional, and did an amazing job that afternoon for $150. Although this is lower than the average cost, $359 is so much higher. I will never use KC Services and am letting my neighbors and friends know. read more

This is a good, honest, company. I was quoted by the installers of my mini split system to repair a leak and I was surprised at the cost on a system barely 2 years old. I talked to KC to get a second opinion/estimate. Well, Virginia set me straight. She had me call the other company back and tell them they needed to cover it under warranty. What kind of company does that? Me, knowing very little about mini split systems, could have easily had KC quote me and do the repair. But, they didn't want that and I really appreciate that. They saved me over $2k. And, KC has done work for me in the past, not the most glamourous thing and I didn't think to write a review about it but, I had an attic fan put in a few years back.
