I had a pretty complicated dental issue that my other dentists in the past didn't seem to handle well so I came here for another opinion. It's a lingering sensitivity in one of my molars after a previous filling. The first time I had it looked at another dentist office they brushed it off! Then I went to another dentist and they suggested an expensive, invasive procedure. I was starting to think I'd never get it resolved until I went to Sequoia Valley Dental Group. Invisalign! I'm in my 40s and Dr Kim recognized a teeth alignment issue from preteen brace years that might have required future implants. (He was also my second consult.) The Invisalign treatment plan and care has been great! Def recommend. My recent cleaning with Nicole was great! She's fast and personable.. Teeth felt great after (without the soreness from harsh scaling). You can definitely feel her experience as a hygienist. Office is clean and bright with modern equipment. (I hate outdated and dingy looking medical offices. The office is pretty booked far out (popular!) for routine checkups, but the appointments so far have all been on time and efficient which I appreciate. read more

Dr Kim is the best of the best. Truly knowledgeable, generous, and a master of his craft. If you have any need for dental work big or small or just maintaining the one set of teeth that we have as adults, it would be silly to go anywhere else. To be honest I have a lot of anxiety when I go to the dentist office. They're always rushing and see you for 2 mins and leave you with a huge invoice and I feel dumb bc I don't understand why I need it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I saw Dr Kim last week and I think he could feel my anxiety. We ended up talking about baseball for a while and really just allowed me to relax. Told me about his family and got to know each other which at least to me showed he cared about building a relationship.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Seeing a dentist is similar to finding a good car mechanic now a days and it requires trust. I don't know what's going on under the hood so it's nice that they can explain it to me like I'm 5 years old without being condescending. I waited a couple months to get in to see Dr. Kim as I was a new patient. I've heard very, very good things about him. Unfortunately, his office is the only office that I have encountered in 20 years that demand your Social Security number for billing. Everyone else has changed for good reason. You might as well post your Social Security number to have your identity stolen. Sadly both my husband and I have experienced identity theft. It is a horrendous experience so there is not a single chance I am going to give anyone my Social Security number. I'm really surprised by some of the below reviews because I just had the best dental experience of my life. I came in with a chipped front tooth that had been poorly repaired at another office. The previous dentist just slapped some bonding on it that didn't match the color of my other teeth. It looked unnatural, and I was really self-conscious about my smile, especially since it was right in the front. Dr. Kim immediately knew what needed to be done. What impressed me most was his approach! it was clear from the start that he viewed dental work as more than just a quick fix. He didn't just repair the chip; he carefully matched the bonding to the exact shade and contour of my natural teeth. I never realized how much dentists are also artists until I saw how much care he put into making sure the fit and color looked perfect. It's not just about function; the aesthetics really matters!! My tooth now looks seamless, and you'd never know it was chipped. Dr. Kim's attention to detail blew me away. He took his time, making sure the tooth was both durable and beautiful. A lot of places might rush through something like this, but he treated it like artwork, and it shows. Being a dental hygienist for over 17 years myself, I know what qualities to look for in a great dentist. If I ever need work done, I would hands down choose Dr. Kim or Dr. Bower. Both have top quality work as well has top quality chair side manner. They are both conservative in diagnosing and really care about their patients inside and outside of the office. Dr. Kim is a phenomenal dentist with amazing bedside manner. My son, who is 8 now, has been to other dentists and has never been able to get treated even with Nitrous Oxide and his favorite show playing during treatment. We have tried everything including bribery with Pokemon cards. This review is a two part review from my two visits I had. I had to go two times for a deep cleaning. I had my right side of my teeth done with Ariana and my left side with Dr. Kim. The first time went very well. Ariana was the lady who cleaned my teeth and she would've gotten 5 stars from me. She was patient and explained everything thoroughly. When she injected my mouth to numb it she said she was going to go slow cause sometimes if too much goes in too fast it'll make you feel anxious. She did a great job and I had no pain at all following the cleaning. The second time I went was with Dr. Kim. I'd give him 0 stars if I could. He was very aggressive with my cleaning and when he numbed me he did it a lot faster than Ariana did. I started to feel very anxious and felt like my heart was thumping too hard. The whole entire time I could hear his stomach growl and he kept talking about being hungry. The first time it took about 1 hour or so...maybe even 1 hour and 15 mins. Dr Kim got me in and out within 45 mins. I was in so much pain for 4 days following his cleaning. It felt rushed...I'm assuming it's because he was hungry. I even told some family members and they told me never go with Dr. Kim. There's another Dr named Dr. Bower who I heard was amazing. When I went in for my evaluation he was very kind and explained everything. He will be doing all of my work from now on. I will never work with Dr. Kim. read more

She was charged for three extractions instead of two and they tried to cover it up and hide the money! $250 is a lot of money for an 89 old widow!! I finally did get the money back, But the treatment she has received from this dental Office since is shocking and disturbing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lizette would yell at my mother and tell her that she's going to cancel her appointment if she can't reach her To verify her appointment, even though she had her Phone number incorrect![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She canceled her appointment and now my mom has to wait 20 more days to be seen and she is in serious pain! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Kim told me personally to bring her in if she's in pain again and his office staff will not make an appointment![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And it's all because they tried to steal $250 from my mother and tried to cover it up! If you go to the dentist, please check your Bill statements, If they have no problem ripping off on 89-year-old women they will have no problem Ripping off everyone!
