I have major dental anxiety and a diagnosis of panic disorder - so for me to give a 5 star review of a dentist is a pretty big deal. I came in last week because I have 2 cracked teeth and pain. I have avoided the dentist as long as I could but this needed to get done. They were so patient and gentle with me as they did the exam. They gave me a thorough cleaning. They explained every bit of work I would need without any pressure to get it all done immediately. I was honestly expecting my teeth to be in a worse condition than it was. I got 2 fillings that day and made an appointment for the following week for a root canal and crown. I came in today for my root canal. The tooth had been hurting in the last couple of days since my first appointment. They ended up having to do some extra numbing to get the root canal done but they always made sure I was comfortable. After the root canal, they prepped my tooth for a crown and did a filling on another tooth. I got the same day CEREC crown. They came in an scanned my tooth, made the crown, came back to make aure it was fitting well and make adjustments, and then put the crown in. I have no more tooth pain! My jaw is a bit sore from all the work they did but it isn't anything some Advil can't take care of. Since I maxxed out my insurance for the year, I will be returning in January to get some more work done. I am so glad I found this place and I plan on sending my husband here as well. read more

They were great. Had the best assistants and of course the dentist told me everything and wanted to help me.

There needs to be a zero star option. One is too many. After a few years going there, I noticed the issues were reoccurring or getting worse. I also caught on that the work was not done in full or with any integrity. It appeared as if it was intentional to get me to return frequently with issues so they could drain my insurance and also collect my co-pay and additional out of pocket fees. I found them to be dishonest and incompetent to complete any dental work I went in for, even after going in multiple times for the same reason. The doctor doesn't even do the work and he has his staff run the office no matter how inexperienced they are. I could not believe what I was experiencing. I was forced to find a other dentist immediately when my pain and damage got so bad from going to this dentist, and my teeth were not that bad when I started going in the first place. The dentist I then found to fix the other dentist's mess, began to fix it on my first visit. It took three visits to fix the mess and because the other dentist drained all my dental insurance coverage for the year, I was forced to pay out of pocket to have the entire procedure done again! Only it was done right this time. I tell you, people like this should not be in business. Thank God that nightmare is over. read more

Do NOT use this dentistry! They're customer service is very bad. I was referred to them as a secondary option from my regular dentist, now I know why. The demeanor is that they are in charge like it or not. The oral surgeon is a traveling one. He did NOT make notes on my records of what he did and had to referre me to another oral surgeon for a problem tooth. But because he did NOT make any notes the one he referred me to would not take me. So....my regular dentist called them. They said I would have to come back and see him again. Only comes in once a month. I couldn't make it the day they had open, would have cost me alot of money job wise but I have a serious problem. But the next appointment wasn't for another month. So I had to take it. I got sick the weekend before, couldn't call and cancel on a Sunday so I called on Monday to re-schedule my Wednesday appointment. They were going to charge me $100.00 cancelation fee because I didn't give a 72 hour notice! Told them I would come in sick, then they she said she wouldn't charge me the $100.00 but I would have to go back to my dentist and get referred to another oral surgeon..... so starting ALL over again, 2 months later and still in pain. By the way, I paid my bill. They also billed my insurance, got paid by my insurance and will not call me back to schedule or talk about reimbursing me the difference. Told my insurance company they would have the business office call me......crickets and the person is un-available when I call and no response to my messages. Just sitting on my money while I keep paying the credit card bill. Again...do NIT use this dentist!!!!@ read more

Garbage. Total, absolute garbage. Very nice folks, and will smile as they screw you. I have had both my warrantied front tooth crowns recemented back in like 6 times. This dentist was negligent from the beginning in deciding to do a crown instead of an implant. So, they just recement and wait for me to bite through something harder than a piece of toast, then take 5 minutes to recement it again (or the other one). So again, yes, nice folks on the surface. But the quality of the dentistry? Absolute and total garbage. Nothing like being scared at every moment that your $1,400 crown will crack out of your mouth at work, or while with a client, or at any other horrifying moment. Enraged is the only word. read more

Visalia Modern Dentistry is by far the best dental office. I made my appointment and was able to fill out all the registration information online beforehand. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly. The staff was friendly and courteous. I needed one filling upon exam and the Dr talked me through the process and even did it on the same day! Exam rooms that offer tv channels are clean and inviting. I got a bit chilly in the chair while I waited and they had a blanket so I could cuddle up and stay warm. Ok to anyone needing dental work done. I highly recommend all of these very qualified dentist!!! I needed a root canal , had an abscess and was on and off antibiotics, Had enough and made an appointment with their specialist. He was great and the staff beyond 5 stars. My crown came off which they had done 2 years ago. In this process so I was there for 4 hours but worth every minute and worth every penny. Guess what no pain swollen jaw going down. And just so thankful they did all of this in 4 hours !!! They are very fair in pricing and have no interest financing. For all of us who do not have dental insurance. As a kid I was always nervous about the dentist. And never in my life have I had work done that didn't hurt. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now and as long as Dr. Navarro is in business I will be a patient. I recommend everyone here. My son is 4 and is not afraid of the dentist now. My husband and I had made our biannual cleaning appointment 6 months in advance, we confirmed our appointments the week of, and they decided to cancel our appointments as we were walking into the place. Mind you, we live 40 minutes away, my husband had to postpone work meetings to come, and I work nights and had to wake up after only a few hours of sleep to be at the appointment. They couldn't care less about the extreme inconvenience they caused. The reason for canceling our appointments? Dr Narvarro had a meeting to discuss the computer program the receptionists were using..... it seems like that could have been done on their own time, not while they were supposed to be with scheduled patients. Every time we come here there is a new issue. I don't think the headache and hassle are worth going here read more

My recent visit on October 12, 2019 was scheduled on a Saturday because I had a near fatal medical event 10 months earlier and can't afford to miss work, now that I am feeling better. With that said, I needed some dental work, and on this visit I needed a crown replacement. Dr. Nguyen performed a perfect procedure. She methodically informed me of all aspects of the work needed, and I knew I was in good hands. The office is spotless, and the supporting office staff is 100 percent efficient in regard to the explaining the financial/insurance details. Took my 2 y.o. to Dr. Navarro today. Wow! He is SOOO much better than Western Dental. First of all there are not a ton of patient in the waiting room. The receptionists were super pleasant. They greeted us with a smile and were helpful. Dr. Navarro was thorough in his explanation of what's going on with my 2 y.o. and is sensitive to her experience with dentists in general not wanting to traumatize her but still giving her the care she needed. My daughter was not a bit weary of him and let him do whatever needed to be done with her teeth because he puts her at ease. I will definitely be coming back. Well I definitely didn't think I would ever write a bad review about this dental office considering a year ago they were so pleasant. I started to have some questions after noticing the turn around in the office staff. The treatments were great, but then the billing process became questionable. I went in for the start of a dental implant and I was quoted an amount that per office billing professional stated I was to be responsible after my dental insurance took care thier portion. The amount sounded great and so I made sure they clarified with me the amount along with any other procedures that needed to be done and so I signed a contract with the office and since have been on time paying my patient portion. Well going in the last few visits they have revised my amounts multiple times and this is all happening while I'm in the chair ready to get the supposed procedures I am currently paying for which include the implant. Upon arriving at the office I was told I owe $700 to start the process for my dental implant I was perturbed. Well according to another office specialist the new hire is unaware of their process ? Whatever that means. Well here I am sitting in the chair again and here comes the new billing specialist and says that I never signed for an implant? Let me explain that I would never have signed for partial treatment or implant ?? I mean who would ? Lol at this point I'm like you all need to figure out your billing issues this is unprofessional! I will be taking my business elsewhere, and to anyone who thinks of going here beware with the billing quotes they all are subject to change even after you signed an agreement. read more

I came into the office and was referred for a root canal. They did a great job and even told me that they could do the crown for me the same day. I was excited because they offered to complete it during the same day, where my regular dentist was going do it over two times. The dentist came in and made my crown. I couldnt understand what he said becuase he was wearing a gas mask. Sinc e I had the crown installed the crown has fallen off twice. I think there is something wrong with the crown becuase my regular dentist doesnt want to put it back and and wants to make me a new one now. read more

For someone who avoids the dentist like the plague, I couldn't be more at ease while here. From the time I walked in the front door, they have made me feel very welcome and at ease with every part of my visit. The young lady at the front desk during check in, is very friendly, and also explains how everything is going to go with your visit. X-Rays were a piece of cake with tech who helped me, and very high tech from what I've been through before. The Dentist takes his time to talk with you, to learn a little about you and explain the procedure you are going to have done. This morning I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Tabel. I have been dreading doing this for the 17 years I have been told I need to do it. I have had a lot of anxiety about getting this done, but I am glad I finally did it and had it done by him. He really is a great doctor who made me feel very comfortable from the moment I met him. He took his time explaining the procedure to me and was great throughout. I am nervous about getting put under and some consults I have had in the past the doctors always tried to talk me into it. He was great and accommodating with giving me nitrous instead with no issue. I highly recommend this doctor. All of his staff was just as great and really made me feel comfortable as well. read more

This Review is solely based on my own experience. Where do i begin.... About a month ago i resourced to yelp to help me find a new dentist, due to that i am new to the area. I came across VMD. I went to their site and submitted an appointment request via their online email method. Minutes later i received an auto reply, email saying "Our office team will contact you shortly to confirm your appointment request". Weeks past no one called nor emailed me back. I then decided to call and still no answer, left a voicemail. Again nobody called me back......I called few days later again and i spoke with Brian. He informed me that my email never made it to their inbox. Furthermore, that they hadn't checked their voicemail in days....Thats when things start to go down hill, but still was willing to give then a chance. So i decided to book two appointment, one for myself and the second for my spouse. Since he is the insurance holder, they started the new patient under his name. Brian proceed to add my appointment, however, he added me as a dependent. Not as a new patient. I ended the call and went to the office, there was Brian and he confirmed the above once again. While i was there i gave him my DL as well as my Insurance ID. His response was "i don't need the insurance card" I started to wondering how is he going to figure out my copay and if they do accept my insurance provider. Nonetheless i booked the appointment and i verbally told him the insurance name and ID number. Right before i left i ask that he contacted me to inform me about my copay. He contacted me few days later with the following. " Mr Saldivar we don't have your insurance on file, therefore we can't determine if we accept your insurance nor what will your copay be". I laughed because I kind of knew this was going to happen. So i still gave him the information over the phone. Minutes later he said your copay will be $30. I said okay thats doable. Fast-forward to the the day of the appointment. Brian calls me 45 minutes before my appointment, as a follow up on my copay question. I told him, Brian you did tell me my copay was $30 on the last phone conversation we had. He proceed to say that was only a guesstimate. This time around he said my copayment was $45. Needless, to say 40 minutes before my appointment, while on the phone with Brian i decided to cancel my appointment. The issue was not the copay. The issue was the whole mis handling of information and setting up as a new patient. I didn't get to meet the great dentists, these other reviews speak of. Hope future patients have a better experience. read more

Very clean and modern office with a great staff. The Dr. is very professional and explains everything to you. The exam was quick and the cleaning was great. I got two crowns done in office! I don't like having to make another appointment for the same issue. Each room has direct TV so can watch a show while waiting and getting work done. The lobby has a small child play area and free coffee! Another great thing I enjoy about this office is that it does not smell like a dentist office! read more

I have some crazy dental anxiety and because of that, I went some time without seeing a dentist. As you could guess..... had a lot of work to be done. But Dr. Navarro and his staff have helped me through all of that and have done some amazing work in the process. They put my fear at ease and honestly treat me better than any other dentist I've ever gone to. I've had 2 crown cases done now (3 crowns/5 hours per visit) and he helps me through the whole process. i have contacted this establishment and asked them to please bill my champ va insurance, since i discovered that in spite of the horrific experiance, the dr said i could die, and with my abcess being medical my insurance will pay all but 25% if they will simply give them the right info. i have had no response, and am talking with smile generation, i am ready to wrap up this almost year long horrifc traumatic experiance but need the office to respond to my emails and bill my insurance. read more

Right when I walked in the receptionist smiled and greeted me. Check in was quick and I met the Dr after a few minutes. They are very nice and accommodating. All procedures are explained before they start and they ask to make sure you understand everything before moving forward. They have great recommendations for your treatment plan and really work with you to make sure you are comfortable. All prices are reviewed with you and they have flexible payment options which are really great and accommodate my needs.
