I was a new patient (and from out of the area) and therefore I expected the typical routine of having to go through a full examine, consultation, x-rays, etc. This is what usually causes me to 'put-off' going to the Dentist. Although I understand the necessity, sometimes I feel it's just a bit much and overwhelming. I had a small need/concern with my tooth and Robert Hodous took me right in, addressed and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at the fact that he didn't push a 'new patient' work up on me and make me go through all the motions before fixing the problem. The front desk's communication, billing, insurance, and scheduling made me go find another dentist when I had a hole in my mouth...it was less frustrating than hearing the different versions of what they were selling. Twice there were calls that were going to "fix" everything...those left me being blamed for their miscommunications (one direct lie and a chain of miscommunications). The other review that complained about billing was about the same for me. It is unfortunate because like I said, the hygienists are awesome. I should have noticed that the last positive review left on this site is from 8 years ago.

They gave me a full exam and when I had some cavities, the process of getting them filled was quick and painless! I also did the ZOOM whitening treatment and the results were phenomenal. The staff was SO friendly and answered all my questions with a smile. I felt so welcome every time I stepped in the office and I am so happy to have found a dentist I can trust and actually look forward to seeing.

When appointment was complete I asked how much I owed and they said nothing. A month or so later I got a bill for 150 dollars. Then another month went by and it went to 270 dollars with them not getting back to me on my original inquiry about the first bill. I was a little busy at that point and it took a month or two to follow back up and I asked for visit dates and insurance billing history cause I was going to look into it. After a week or so of looking into it I found out they called my wife behind my back and coerced her into making a payment with them for the full 270 amount. They lied and told her it was for her previous appointment because her insurance was messed up. Very unethical business practice to intentionally deceive husband and wife patients against each other in order to get a bill paid for a couple hundred dollars. Will NOT be going back and looking into options to get this resolved in other ways.

Not only were they scary and pretty much yelled for me to put my hands up (i raised to let them know they were hurting me) and then when i said the drill felt too hot on my teeth she basically called me a liar and i quote her words "it doesnt hurt youve been numbed". didnt even take a break to let it cool just kept drilling. for somebody whos fearful of the dentist it was super traumatizing and unhelpful. not even soft spoken when i was obviously scared. but here i am a year- year and a half later looking for new dentist who have to perscribe me medication to ease my anxiety of going at all because this experience confirmed all my fears of going to the dentist. Also not sure of the name of my doctor here but she was a woman- was also suprised whoever was assisting didnt have anything helpful to say. my friend who had taken me to the appointment told me i was brave for staying seated because any dentist saying theyre not putting you in pain when they clearly are is ridiculous! as someone with severe dentophobia i asked my friend what they thought and my friend agreed that i wasnt being irrational and they could have handled the situation better. (they were in the room with me) keep in mind this was an appointment for a FILLING! shouldnt be such a bad experience.
