Never have I ever been charged extra to have my cuticles done when getting a mani. I was visiting my daughter and wanted to take her to get our nails done. I called and was able to get us both in to Serefina an hour later. I originally asked for a mani/pedi but when we arrived realized we didn't have time. So we switched it to two manicures - one with a full set. They tried several times to get us to change our mind but we simply didn't have time it was going to be 90+ minutes. They proceeded to sit on us on opposite ends of the salon. And as soon as I sat for mani they began speaking softly in another language and the upselling began. They were determined to get make back some of the $ for the pedicure we couldn't do. My manicurist insisted I get a dip instead of the gel I picked out bc my nails are too thin - they are not. More $$, but I did it anyway bc she kept insisting. Then she asked if I wanted my cuticles done - of course I do - it's a manicure. She then told me it would be an additional $10. Eva was amazing! I had to get my Gel X from a previous salon removed, and she did a great job removing it gently and not damaging my nail bed. I have been coming to this salon for over a year. Service has always been great Jocelyn normally does my nails. Today I went in and was placed with Ben, very nice person however my nails came out bad, I kept trying to explain how I like them I know he could see the frustration, long story short my nails are mediocre at best. They are different lengths different shapes lumpy and uneven I told the manager I did not like them I still paid $132.00 dollars no discount or solution I was told oh you show him a picture next time. Every few weeks I visit this place for mani/pedi gel service and never leave disappointed. The manager of the shop is always upbeat with all who walk in. Got my pedicure and nails done this morning and I was sooo disappointed. I am a very easy customer. I don't complain, i always make an appointment, I tip and very friendly. This is the first time someone did them, her name is Michelle. Horrible. Bad job on the pedicure. My fill was bad. Polish was uneven along with thickness. I'm finally at my last straw with this place. I've came here several times and I can honestly say most of the time I leave so uncomfortable and unhappy with the service from the nail techs. It's like as soon as you ask them to fix something their attitude towards you changes and they act so annoyed as if you're not paying them for a service! Then today the tech doing somebody's pedicure next to mine kept looking over at my feet and making faces! At some point 3 including the one doing my toes were talking and laughing. We (my sister and I) used to love this Salon, and we gave them our continued patronage for several years (at least 4-5). We had our regular technicians (Nini, Mindy, and Thao) that we would request, but no matter who you ended up with, they were always great. Whoever the owner/manager was ruined it for us. He yelled at my sister when we had a scheduling mixup due to illness, and he made her feel like a little kid being scolded. That's not the way you treat your customers that have been loyal to you for years. He has "rabbit ears" and micro manages everything at an unnecessary level, and just creates stress and awkwardness for the customers and nail techs alike. I compared notes with my neighbor, and she said the same thing, that he had to butt his nose in when she was asking for an explanation for what she was being charged. Well, we found out that our favorite techs moved up to Surprise (Go to VHG Nails on Bell Rd across from Winco!) and started their own salon, so now we drive an extra 20 minutes or so to give them our regular business every 2-3 weeks. It's really too bad that they weren't happy there either, and I can understand why. read more

I came in to get my eyebrows done for a wedding I was attending. I went around 10 am, so shortly after they opened. I waited about 15 min for a eyebrow lady to become available. When I first laid on the table I immediately noticed that she was a little more aggressive then my experiences with others. When she put the wax on I moved my head because it felt very hot. She said sorry and presumed to go on. When I left I noticed that I felt pain that I never experienced before. Sure enough the wax was too hot and burned my eyelids. I'm not sure if they just had the wax set to high to melt it or what but this is unacceptable. Knowing that all the pictures I took that day will be tarnished by the burns on my eyelids. read more

We've been coming here for several months now, this is the only nail salon I've been to on the west side where my nails always last soooooo long. They do such a great job! I've done both gel and dip on my natural nails and have never had an issue with cracking or peeling, the dip is always put on evenly with no bumps. Not a good visit. The guy I had had to answer the phone and ask everybody coming in what they needed and it became a lot because I spent way too long in there for a full set. He did touch up my nails when I asked but after asking twice hi start and end result is not what I wanted. The cleanup was not good and the French tips are not similar. I went to the store to get a nail file and nail polish to line them up. Will not be going back! The salon looks clean and stylish. The staff was welcoming and were able to fit me in quickly. The location is convenient if you live in Goodyear. All the makings for a good experience, right? But my nails looked bad. The nail tech looked me in the eye at the end giving me her name and saying to come back in 2 weeks for a fill. Umm...no! The nails were unevenly and inconsistently shaped. The gel/dip (she used both) was too thick in some spots and did not cover the whole nail. There was no care taken to clean up the underside of my nails. She put cuticle oil on and left me with glitter on my hands, told me not to wash my hands there. What a waste of $60. read more
