I used this caterer for my wedding. They were an hour late to our reception, so my wedding ran behind. My family had to start placing and folding napkins on the tables, which is something we paid them to do in our contract for labor. Additionally, it took them 2 and a half hours to serve plated meals to our guests (129 guests). It was an absolute nightmare. For the day of, the banquet team was awesome, in particular Javier, who made my husband feel incredibly taken care of and supported (even when he wasn't quite sure of all the answers!). Working with Krystal as our catering manager was an absolute dream as well. She was gracious, understanding, and prompt, making me extremely confident in her managing our event. She even had wonderful suggestions for best practices, as we did decide to move forward with a micro-wedding during the pandemic. Her recommendations for the menu were spot on, and were so well-thought-out in regards to our wedding party having quite a few allergies. She also was instrumental in helping us pick out our linens, glassware, and china, which was such a nice thing to not have to worry about coordinating with another company (and they were stunning to boot). The food was phenomenal, the banquet team was a perfect balancing act of giving support but not being intrusive, and it made our big day that much better. After our original caters went silent on us 3 months out from our wedding, I reached out to Serendipity based on a referral from a trusted source. We worked with Krystal and from start to finish, every interaction was personable and professional and her response time was exceptional. Krystal always made us feel heard and was conscious of our budget, proposing multiple fabulous menu options that would work in our price point. Fast forward to the event, the staff was absolutely incredible and we received many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was. We served passed apps, a bbq station and a charcuterie grazing station. Krystal was also flexible in working to provide enough options for our guests with dietary restrictions. We held our celebration at a private residence and the staff exceeded expectation on set-up, breakdown and guest experience, leaving the space immaculate upon their departure. We had Savory Fare cater or wedding this weekend and they were incredible! They helped us customize our menu to exactly what we wanted and their staff was organized and attentive the entire evening. There was never a moment during the reception that they were not checking on us and our guests to make sure we were happy, full, and had a beverage in our hand! My husband and I have only the highest praise for Savory Fare Catering! Everything was terrific, and this was under somewhat challenging circumstances. We planned this event from 500 miles away, and the weather was uncooperative, to say the least. The food was delicious, and the service was professional and friendly. Everyone we encountered- Jennifer who worked with me over the phone, Angela the owner, Eva the event manager and the waitstaff at the party-were so helpful and nice. We hired Savory Fare for a rehearsal/welcome dinner for 100 guests the evening before our son's wedding, with an additional 50 guests coming later for drinks and desserts. It was supposed to be a party that flowed from house to a veranda to the gardens. But the rains from Hurricane Joaquin changed those plans! Angela, Jennifer and Eva met with us at our party site on the day before the event. Their expertise went to work, and the party set-up was changed for everything to be inside, and it worked out perfectly. I'm sure most of the guests didn't realize it wasn't 'Plan A'. Most importantly though, the food was outstanding! We served pulled pork sliders, grilled chicken and vegetarian stuffed peppers along with salads and cookie/brownie platters for dessert. Savory Fare was the perfect choice for our brunch wedding reception! Not only was the food served hot and delicious (um, hello? the bacon was even crispy!!), it was also set up beautifully! Such a wonderful presentation, and the service was even better. Jennifer was so helpful all the way up to the event in answering all my questions, making helpful suggestions, and working with our budget and dietary needs. Our venue owner said even the amount of food they provided was perfect - we didn't run out early, and weren't left with a ridiculous amount of leftovers. I used Savory Fare to cater my wedding on 10/15/2016. Jennifer helped me plan my menu based on my wishes. She was accommodating to my requests and offered suggestions when appropriate. In addition she made sure I had ordered the right tables for the reception, which was a huge help. The day of the wedding went without a hitch thanks to Jennifer's hard work in advance and Eva's hard work as day of coordinator. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a brunch menu, so I was fearful of dry eggs and limp bacon. But I was more than impressed by the quality of the food, presentation, and service. Eva stopped by a few times to make sure everything was to my liking, but managed the day independently and flawlessly. I highly recommend using Savory Fare to cater your wedding or special event.
