    We hired Laura to help us design and coordinate for the month of the wedding. We had multiple virtual meetings to nail down the vibe we were aiming for. We communicated that we wanted a minimally wasteful and sustainable event and Laura was able to work within those confines to make our day look and feel magical. Through Serendipity and Laura, we could utilize the Aisle Planner platform, and this was a really easy way for us to organize and pass everything over to Laura and her team on the big day. It had a really neat feature for us to make a seating chart for our wedding venue's exact layout. It also allowed us to see the progress of our checklist as a project management tool. The platform was very versatile and allowed us to stay on top of wedding planning in the months leading up to the big day. Laura had to leave us for maternity leave but left us in wonderful hands, and we trusted that Laura would have someone else as equally professional and amazing as Laura.

    Laura and her team did the design for our wedding and it turned out gorgeous! It was the most incredible experience to see my vision for the wedding brought to life. This team is highly creative. At our first meeting I gave them the vision I had in my head, and the next time I met with them, there was a mood board that showcased this - But it wasn't just my vision, they had added to my vision and made it even more beautiful. We are over the top happy with Serendipity Events. Laura was so very personable, professional and just awesome. Serendipity also has some pretty great pieces to check out for rentals. We had these huge glass lanterns that were absolutely gorgeous at our wedding. I highly recommend Serendipity Events for your event or wedding! They made our wedding the day we always dreamed of.

The first was to go over the incredibly helpful planning materials TLC provided, where we shared our ideas for food and décor. Kirin not only listened but gave us excellent vendor recommendations. Every time I reached out after that, she was quick to respond with thoughtful advice, which I deeply appreciated. The second meeting was for final details, and Kirin went above and beyond, staying an extra 30 minutes to make sure everything was just right. She even handled an unexpected fire drill with ease, truly going to bat for her brides. Little did we know, that wouldn't be the last "fire" she'd put out for us! As a DIY bride, some of my décor didn't quite go as planned due to the wind. Kirin and her team were quick to jump in and fix everything, making it look beautiful. The biggest mishap of the day was our 8-foot floral arch snapping in half. Instead of apologizing and moving on, the TLC team cut the floral noodles off and attached them to a wooden arch provided by the venue, all while I continued to live my stress free life of getting pampered. She kept me updated which I also appreciated so that there were no surprises. On top of that, Kirin's team ensured everything ran smoothly--from paying vendors and sticking to the timeline to keeping us fed, hydrated, and stress-free. They even made sure no one got too rowdy and cleaned everything up so we could simply enjoy our day. All we had to do was return the next morning to pick up our décor. My only regret is that I only get one wedding! But for any event--whether it's a wedding, corporate gathering, or anniversary--I highly recommend TLC. They are the best of the best!

As an activity, the girl who previously worked in my position found Party Hats Entertainment and I'm so glad she did! Fiona and her husband Steve are a dynamic duo, full of life and passion for their work. The team, located in San Diego, drove to Alhambra. They showed up on time, with all the items they needed. Unfortunately, our numbers grew last minute and we did not update them. Luckily, they brought 20 extra hats! They definitely came prepared with everything they needed-and very self sufficient. Fiona and Steve had everyone in the room wearing hats. Their tables were full of adults, excited to decorate their own personalized party hats. They are very interactive with all the attendees and extremely personable. My favorite part? Steve decorated his own monopoly themed jacket! I loved that they went with the theme and really incorporated it into everything, even their own clothing! I will definitely use them again for future events!

I've tried a variety of their beer over periods of time and my order is usually good. Last month I went for my bday and had a Japonesa and Mexicana, both were delicious and yes, I probably misnamed them. I also got to see some Lucha Libre and local band, it was a good time. Anyone saying there's attitude and lack of service don't understand how to come correct.

This place was recently on a 15 day suspension I believe for a loud volume disturbance (their music could get pretty loud) and given a fine to pay. So the owner lashed out on Instagram, talking about they won't stay quiet and no one can silence them and that no one lives here only rats (even though her business is in a residential area) lol. Proceeded to post a go fund me and ask for the community's (or I guess rats, b/c that's all that lives here in the owner's words) support in buying mocktails while they were on their suspension (and they raised about $5k on their go fund me). It's been quiet and not very busy these weeks. I guess I'm really irritated because why are you asking the community for money that you called rats? Also because this was about a noise complaint probably reported by a neighbor (because it would get really loud). There is trash left behind by this brewery because they allow people to walk out with drinks and litter their plastic cups in our streets. There should be a garbage can provided by mujeres outside their facility. Also, all the reviews here drawing attention to the rude bartenders and it is not being addressed. It continues. I am appalled to have been served that way those 3 different times and some of us have been living here longer than this business plopped in the middle of us. Truly hope that this business does better going forward. a reasonable noise volume, provide a trash can, and friendly customer service. I have heard they host many wonderful community events. I have seen several vendors selling in and outside the business. It gives vendors in the community opportunity and that's wonderful. As well as hosting events to bring awareness of important issues people are experiencing in the community. I hope the next time I choose to go I am welcomed with a friendly demeanor, and not like Im a pain because truthfully I am not, but this whole situation really was not cool. It's a little too expensive for me to also receive attitude that I didn't order with my drink. Especially when I brought no attitude to your bartender. Being welcoming to people can go a long way. From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d'oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d'oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I'm so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. Abbey is a one-stop shop for anything you need for your event. We booked the photographer, DJ, photobooth, and all the catering services through Abbey. This meant, we only had one point of contact for the majority of the wedding. So convenient! All our guests had such a great time. The food was exquisite, drinks were tasty, photobooth was a hit, and dancefloor was LIT (shoutout to Brian, the best DJ). We hope to have an excuse to plan an event with them in the future!

The only rough part about it…read morewas a Padres game happening around the same time so parking was rough and expensive and you would need to park a bit far to get something cheaper but expect to pay a decent amount for parking. I personally have never heard of this location until attending my high school friend's wedding here and wow, I don't know how much the venue cost was but the space itself spoke for itself and was so nice! My friend had both her ceremony and reception in here and the way everything transitioned and was set up, I truly enjoyed was amazing by the views and space itself as they even had stairs to back areas where the bride and groom can put their things. A bar was located on the opposite side of the venue and restrooms behind as well as a nice sitting area near it. Loved the yummy hors d'oeuvres that was served too! The bacon wrapped scallops were the best!! Not sure how the packages for weddings work here but given the space inside for all things possible and being across the street from Petco Park, I'd say this is a nice spot to have weddings at!!
