Horrible customer service. I have been here on 3 different occasions, tried to give benefit of doubt. Never tried the food, but judging from what other reviewers have mentioned I wouldn't want to try. Not a beer girl, had their seltzers and they were pretty good. Both ladies who served me were so rude, must have been the same ones who served a lot of the bad reviews on here. This place was recently on a 15 day suspension I believe for a loud volume disturbance (their music could get pretty loud) and given a fine to pay. So the owner lashed out on Instagram, talking about they won't stay quiet and no one can silence them and that no one lives here only rats (even though her business is in a residential area) lol. Proceeded to post a go fund me and ask for the community's (or I guess rats, b/c that's all that lives here in the owner's words) support in buying mocktails while they were on their suspension (and they raised about $5k on their go fund me). It's been quiet and not very busy these weeks. I guess I'm really irritated because why are you asking the community for money that you called rats? Also because this was about a noise complaint probably reported by a neighbor (because it would get really loud). There is trash left behind by this brewery because they allow people to walk out with drinks and litter their plastic cups in our streets. There should be a garbage can provided by mujeres outside their facility. Also, all the reviews here drawing attention to the rude bartenders and it is not being addressed. It continues. I am appalled to have been served that way those 3 different times and some of us have been living here longer than this business plopped in the middle of us. Truly hope that this business does better going forward. a reasonable noise volume, provide a trash can, and friendly customer service. I have heard they host many wonderful community events. I have seen several vendors selling in and outside the business. It gives vendors in the community opportunity and that's wonderful. As well as hosting events to bring awareness of important issues people are experiencing in the community. I hope the next time I choose to go I am welcomed with a friendly demeanor, and not like Im a pain because truthfully I am not, but this whole situation really was not cool. It's a little too expensive for me to also receive attitude that I didn't order with my drink. Especially when I brought no attitude to your bartender. Being welcoming to people can go a long way. Please be nice to your paying customers and the community in Barrio. Will update whenever I next choose to give a 4th benefit of the doubt. read more

Can't say how much I love this place. The feeling of community it provides not just drinks. So many amazing events and local vendors. Also a view of the Coronado Bridge. Anytime I'm in San Diego, I try to make it to Mujeres Brewhouse. I appreciate the art, the beer and most of all the sense of community. I've tried a variety of their beer over periods of time and my order is usually good. Last month I went for my bday and had a Japonesa and Mexicana, both were delicious and yes, I probably misnamed them. I also got to see some Lucha Libre and local band, it was a good time. Walked in and it seemed somewhat busy and by the reviews we assumed it would be. They had their ordering area above an open patio so we grabbed our drinks and headed down. After sitting for about 10 minutes or so we had some woman rudely ask if we were here for the event (there were 0 signs or banners indicating there was anything going on) and we said no. She then went on to ask us to leave the only seating area this place had to offer because there was a private event going on. Had we known we wouldn't have a spot to sit we would have never gotten a beer. Had a pug meetup here. They closed off the outside courtyard area for us. Nice big space, would be perfect for other meetups or parties. There is also a small deck just outside the brewery room. Went to a lil concert here and it was fantastic. It was held in the lil side area, the big barn looking wood doors were closed and it was super intimate and just perfect. I really appreciated the little bar in there too - just for us so we didn't have to go all the way to the top area. The owner is very friendly and there's always different events happening here. I just wish I lived closer to this gem! Only complaint is I wish there was stairs or something to walk from the top beer area to the bottom outside patio area/ the walk around on the sidewalk is a bit annoying and inconvenient but not the end of the world. For bigger events- it would be dope to have wait staff who took drink orders so there aren't long lines for drinks but it's been here a while now and it seems to be working for them. I love this place! The beer options are also getting better. They always get the cutest cups too for drinks- super fun! Please open a spot up in north county- we want local fun up here too!! Mujeres is a female-owned brewery and a local staple located in the Barrio Logan area serving a variety of beers and drinks and hosting local events. The business also supports different causes, including the Border Angels which looks to reform the rights of migrants. Drink-wise: As noted earlier, Mujeres serves a variety of drinks including different styles of beer, seltzers, and Micheladas. My favorite beers from them lately have been their Japanese lager and the Mexican lager. The IPAs have good flavor and aren't too strong. The Mango Tamarindo Michelada with the chamoy straw was very solid (coming from someone who isn't a strong fan of miches). I haven't had the pleasure of trying the seltzers yet so no review for those. Ambiance-wise: The interior of Mujeres is relatively small with limited seating, but the exterior has a wide space with plenty of seating in the patio or biergarten area. The very notable parts of the ambiance that really stick out are the color palates, decor, and of course the murals all in Barrio Logan fashion. Ask about the story behind the murals when you get the chance. In terms of liveliness, it probably depends on what day or time you go; as there could be a crowd on the weekend or events, or very chill. Service-wise: You order your drinks at the front bar which are poured at order, and you find your seating. The owners and employees here have been excellent and welcoming every time I have come here. I haven't done this yet, but you can buy the servers a shot of I believe one of the seltzers which is always fun to build a customer relationship with the business. In summary: Mujeres is on my list of go-to spots, and I have been a patron of this brewery for years and find it hard not to visit every time I'm down in Barrio. There are few good biergarten style breweries left in San Diego and Mujeres is one of them. The ownership and service are amazing and support a great cause, the beers are excellent, and the ambiance is top tier. I recommend visiting Mujeres and in general the Barrio Logan area to any who have not been. Swing by on a sunny Sunday, grab a nice pint (or Michelada), and just enjoy the vibes. read more

I had been meaning to make it here, as I was eager to show some support for a local, woman/POC owned brewery. We finally made it in for a beer, after having some dinner and drinks up the street, and the spot has some interesting things going on here. I came specifically for the beer (there are 7 to choose from), but was surprised to see so many other beverages on the menu-palomas, seltzers, wine seltzers, beer cocktails, and more; if you're looking to get crunk, they've got an assortment of ways to get your drank on. They also sell an assortment of Mexican snacks, Michelada mixes, and clay pots filled with candy. We slid thru on what they expected to be a slow Turkey Day Eve, so the large patio was closed. Unfortunately, what I noticed pretty quickly is that the service can be a little slow. There was only one person behind the bar, and due to some of the specialty drinks that require a little longer preparation, it took a little longer than expected to get a beer with only 2 people in front of me. The guy in front of me recommended the Frutas Hazy IPA, and since I love Hazy's, I went all in. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of this brew. The Frutas was really hoppy, and unbalanced. The spot has nice decor, the bartender was very friendly, but the beer was so hoppy, I could barely finish it. Then to add in the fact that the beer was $9+ and served in a plastic cup----SHEESH! They did have a nice little taquero out front, serving tacos made with smoked meats. I'll definitely come back for the tacos, but unfortunately, I might have to skip the brew. read more

There's also a taco stand that's pretty good too. It is pretty strange that the lounge area is separated from the bar though. I came here for the vintage flea market and the lead singer of the B-side Players shared his beautiful voice. We spoiled ourselves with some vintage clothes and beers dressed with a candy drizzled rim with Cajeta which is caramel made with goat milk and crush peanut candy, also had a chelada made with lime juice and salt. We were in the area for an event and noticed Mujeres so we decided to stop by and check it out. I got a hard seltzer lemonade which was light and refreshing and my husband and Dad got beers which they really enjoyed. The space is beautiful, there is indoor outdoor patio seating on the top floor and a large open outdoor patio with picnic tables and umbrellas on the bottom floor. They have a great variety of beers and mixed sort of drinks so a great variety for every taste bud in your party. They also have some yummy snacks (chips and sweets) and plenty of take home brews and mixes too. The staff was great and helpful and made us feel very welcomed as soon as we walked in. Myself and a few friends went to San Diego on an overnight trip and wanted to find a place to grab a beer near Barrio Logan area. We found this location on Yelp and decided to try it out. The location is very uniquely decorated and very pink (but not in a bad way). It was a Saturday around noon so it wasn't too busy inside or in the very large seating area so it was easy to order our beer and find somewhere to sit. The beer selection was good with just enough of a selection to have options but not too much to be overwhelming. I got a Hazy IPA for myself which I really enjoyed with my companions getting IPAs as well. The best part was really the vast seating area with music playing outside. It's a great space to come with larger groups and enjoy a beer. I would be curious to see if it gets packed on evenings just because it seems like it would be a good venue for it.
