We have now tried it twice and enjoyed it both times. We have enjoyed the coconut cake, mini cherry pies, chocolate cake sundaes, etc.. it has all been delicious. Wonderful ambience and service is getting better as staff is becoming more experienced. Top notch atmosphere and wonderful nostalgic vibe. You definitely will be transported back in time. The only hang up with this place is the price.. chocolate malt for $14 is a bit more than I expected to pay. read more

Serendipity is a very charming soda shop in High Springs. The interior is unique and features a self-playing piano for some lovely background music. The staff were also very friendly. I ordered a pink cow (strawberry soda and strawberry ice cream float). The soda was very crisp and the ice cream was delicious. The cup style did make eating it a little difficult. They had a wide variety of interesting desserts ranging from scoopable cheesecake to mini donuts. I was also hoping to get some of their candy, but most of it did not have labels. Serendipity's swee-ee-eet! Totally Loving this old timey soda/coffee shop confectionary's vibes. And what a beautiful space/place too with especially exemplary hospitality. Everybody was so very friendly, helpful, and nice. No soda jerks up in here ;) Coffee was excellent. As was the orange phosphate ...as if I know that is, but it was delicious. This is a beautiful little vintage soda shop in High Springs. I took the kids for a fun surprise along our road trip. One of the owners, Brad took us on a full tour and showed us the Speakeasy which is a gorgeous, private, and reasonably priced at $200 for 3 hours. It is hidden behind a bookshelf which is fun. This shop also has antiques and candy for sale. Their specialties are flavored sodas and cream sodas along with ice cream desserts, and cheesecake. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the following: it was pretty expensive, it was scary for someone with a dairy allergy (I recommend some non-dairy options outside of soda), and the containers they used for the food didn't match the aesthetic. I was hoping for real glasses and bowls for dining in but my ice cream came in a cardboard box and the kids soda were in plastic cups. It didn't vibe with the look of the place. read more

There is so much to this place. Beautiful decor, one side are rooms of beautiful antiques, and an event space that looks like an old fashioned speakeasy. The restaurant has so many treats to see. I had a breakfast muffin and cappuccino and both were delicious. Their treats are works of art. Donuts muffins little pies, old fashioned candies that match the depression glass colors. Loved this place!!! Making a stop here is a sure fire way to brighten up your day in no time. It can get a little busy, but if you catch it at the right time I definitely recommend stopping in. Overall, it was not worth the price. We ordered a float ($9) and they barely put in any ice cream. Additionally, $6+ for a soda is completely unreasonable. Also the prices on the menu did not reflect the prices charged at the register. They then had the audacity to ask for a tip on a soda I grabbed myself. I've only heard bad things about this place working in the area all i've heard is super rude staff and i've experienced it myself super disappointed when the person you ordered from completely ignores you and someone else has to get your food. 1-17-26 ~ 5pm: Visited for the second time yesterday. Could not believe 2 experiences among others in this one visit: 1) When the girl with the red hair and eyeglass frames asked if I would like a sample of a piece of pineapple cake, I was then confronted with her blue glove shoving a fistful of cake at me offering me this "sample" which I immediately refused. 2) after we left and were entering our vehicle that was parked in front of Decades on Main, the other girl working the counter with the two buns came running out at our adult daughter and asked if she took anything. Confused I asked her what she meant and she asked if my daughter took any candy. WHAT?!?!?! Never going back. We were the only 3 people in there before and after our dessert experience and my husband could not get his coffee and brownie at the same time. "Red" had taken the order but "Buns" had to bring the brownie that "Red" never brought. My husband could not enjoy his brownie and coffee at the same time, which was served in a paper cup?! I have commented on photos of your store showing lovely coffee cups and real plates but where are they in reality? Took so long to receive his change that we had all forgotten about it. This Place is amazing! A definite must visit! They have renovated an over 100 year old pharmacy into an old time ice cream - soda fountain shop with a great antique store attached. The details of the work that went into this place is incredible! The staff is so friendly and adorable in their attire. Talking to the owner I found out that everything from the ice cream to the sweets is made in house by themselves and their baker. Every thing we tried was absolutely delicious! Have returned multiple times now as this place is truly delightful !! I must add.....I LOVE grabbing a sweet treat and visiting the antique store every few weeks now! read more
