I've been meaning to write this..great experience! Easy to book an appointment and the owner was very responsive. I went there a few months ago and it was amazing! Very comfortable atmosphere and more importantly the massage was great. The aromas they used in the oil was not too strong and didn't smell cheap like some places. They put a hot towel over your feet while they work on your legs and then a diff one on your face when you lay on your back and cover your eyes. It's the little things that go a long way. I had a 2-hour massage with Marya to help relieve some of the muscle stress I've been experiencing from unrelenting Crossfit training. Booking online through the studio's website was really easy. I was greeted on time by Marya; she met me in the lobby and spent quite a bit of time asking about where I needed work and explaining to me how she was going to go about the treatment. I'd never had that level of education during any spa treatment I've ever had -- I really appreciated that personal touch. The treatment room was wonderful -- very spacious and pleasant with a lot of nice extras, e.g. hot packs to help loosen tighter areas of my body. Marya has some serious power -- this girl really dug in to my roped out muscles and was very communicative about the amount of pressure she was using. I have never had a massage therapist that did that good a job at getting deep into my muscles. The two hours went by way to fast! After the treatment, Marya told me how to hydrate to maximize the benefits of the massage. She mentioned that the massage studio has a membership plan, but did not push it at all, which was nice. Overall, I would absolutely go back to this massage studio and let Marya work me over again! The only downside to Serendipity is that it doesn't have the "extras" that a spa does (e.g. showers, pool, relaxation room, etc.), but it is extremely clean and pleasant, and if you are just looking for a seriously awesome massage, go here and see Marya!! read more

I am not a stranger to massages; however, I have now been to Serendipity Wellness Studio twice to see Jenna. First, I had a Lava Rock and then an Ashiatsu Oriental Bar session that Jenna recommended as I really enjoyed a deeper workout. Jenna is, hands down, the absolute best. From the first few minutes, she made me absolutely comfortable and she leverages her substantial experience to relax tired/knotty muscles. Even more, Jenna recognized that I could benefit from her Ashiatsu work over a more traditional session. Today, I am 24 hours post-Ashiatsu and I feel great - a real game changer for me and I highly recommend that session. I went to see Jennifer on Christmas. It was a gift to me. I hadn't had a massage in a year or so. I've been to massage spas before so I knew what to expect. Well I was wrong. It was a wow experience. I'm an athletic guy who figured I'd have to ask her to massage deeper and harder. I told Jennifer I like to feel the massage because I work out a lot. She was excellent and knew exactly what tension points to hit. The pressure was perfect and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. The soothing music and waterfall like sounds were so relaxing. Jennifer had a great scent that she let me choose for my head to rest near. Hard to explain but well worth it. The oils she used during massage were not too greasy and I was thankful for that. I would go back at least once a quarter due to my schedule limitations. The price was fair in my opinion. Great service, great spa, great massage. read more

I wish I had discovered this place earlier considering it's down the street from my place. I had an awesome experience at Serendipity - I saw Raja and she did an amazing job at getting all the knots out of my back and knot. She really knew what she was doing. The studio is located in these old office buildings that do not like that appealing from the outside, but once inside you'll find this tranquil space. I love how the massage table is heated. I woke up one day unable to move my head to the left because my neck and left shoulder were very tight. After a couple days of horrible pain, I booked a pregnancy massage with very little notice on a Sunday and they were able to schedule me with Noriko immediately. The room was very calming and the oils she used were very soothing. Noriko paid extra attention and worked my neck and left shoulder very well. I was so relaxed and almost fell asleep! After the massage I didn't have any more pain - it was amazing! I also noticed that the massage took the full hour and they did not factor in the time it took me to undress and fill out paperwork, which was a huge plus in my book. I recently had a massage at Massage Green Spa in Fairfax and it was not as good compared to Serendipity. The massage took 50 mins because they factored in the time it took me to undress and answer their questions. I highly recommend Serendipity Green Spa compared to other massage places in Fairfax! read more

I've been coming to see Jennifer and her team of therapists since she opened Serendipity and it has been a true gift to find such serenity so close to home. All of the therapists work hard to create a serene, relaxing space and to establish a rapport. I go to Raja for 90 minute custom massages and she is a miracle worker! I store up a lot of tension and stress in my body and she can work out all of the kinks and trouble spots so that I feel refreshed, relaxed, and calm afterwards. I have had four massages so far and I am incredibly happy with the services I've received. I made my first appointment with Bonnie based on some review mentions and have gone back to her for all my subsequent visits. My muscles are often sore from frequent workouts and it really helps with that. Bonnie is excellent at using just the right amount of pressure and asking about any particular problem areas. The atmosphere overall is pleasant and relaxing, especially in the massage room. I'm usually quite groggy when I leave and surprised I don't fall asleep sometimes during the massage. I've tried a few other places in the area and this is by far the best value. It's the only one I've been back to this many times. read more

I've been here a total of 3-4 times, and it's been great. I currently live in New York, but every time I come to visit my parents, I stop by Serendipity also. The space is small, but cozy and clean with a nice ambiance. You are always calmly and warmly greeted when you arrive. The only reason why I am rating it four stars is because I had the Ultimate Works Organic Facial with Paige, and I didn't love it. It was the only session that I left a little unsatisfied. Maybe my previous facial with Lianna spoiled me, but I didn't think paying extra for the massage was worth it. It was lackluster with light pressure. Paige was still professional and nice, but I can tell she doesn't have the years of experience Lianna has. I'm still going back, because my experience has been great overall at Serendipity. read more
