I came here for a 90 minute aromatherapy massage at the beginning of the summer, and it was one of the best massages I ever received! I am so, so picky when it comes to spas - this place was awesome. I was greeted immediately, my massage table was heated, my therapist did not try to have a conversation and encouraged me to relax, and there's chocolate in the waiting area! Overall, I think the best part about this place is that they actually massaged for the entire 90 minutes. It is so hard to find a place that actually does that anymore, unfortunately. My husband and I had a couples' massage. It was very relaxing. The massage therapists were both professional and friendly. It was easy to check in and get started. We had an hourlong massage. Both made sure we were comfortable and made sure the pressure was just right for both of us. Tried this place after seeing all the reviews. I won't be back. My masseuse was talkative in the beginning talking about the last person she had didn't know she was pregnant. Not sure what that had to do with me. When I asked her to lighten the pressure some, she said I just needed to breathe. She almost fell off the table twice. I was getting one of those foot massages. Can't remember the name. The room was a bit cold and all the lights were on. And it was awkward that the masseuse was the one that took my payment. read more

I am just back from a 90 min therapeutic massage from Jenny. It was very relaxing. Jenny is very sweet and ensures that you are comfortable. She is pretty new at the studio, but she comes across as very experienced. I asked for a lot of pressure and she surely gave me a lot. After the massage, she gave me some tips on relaxing. I saw Jenna at Serendipity Wellness Studio for severe lower back and leg pain caused by my Spinal Stenosis. After 2 months of weekly therapeutic massage, Jenna did an excellent job through a combination of deep tissue and swedish massage techniques of significantly reducing my pain, although because of my condition it will never be eliminated. She is a really good listener, very responsive, and I would recommend her to anyone who needs therapeutic massage. read more

I've had two prenatal massages with Raja, and she is amazing! The spa itself is low-key, just in an office park, but it's close to home and clean, so it works for me. The price is affordable, much more so than Red Door, and it's a great value. I plan to go back and get another prenatal massage or two before baby comes--it really helps with tension, stress, and my poor sore hips! Go to Serendipity for maintenance spa visits, not for a luxurious resort-like getaway. I recommend it! The one star off is simply for the low-key atmosphere. Fantastic place! My boyfriend and I went here for a couples massage a couple weeks ago and we were both really impressed. He had David and said he was great because he needed a really deep tissue massage (specifically on his legs) due to tear and wear from soccer. Beware of their business practices. I was given a gift certificate for a 60-minute massage. Unbeknownst to me the prices went up on Dec 1, 2018. My session was on Dec 7, 2018. My gift certificate did not have a dollar value on it - it said it was good for a "60 minute custom therapeutic massage" and that it expired on Dec 22, 2018. Turns out, the price paid was $90, but as of Dec 1, 2018, the cost went up to $102. So, after my session, the owner, Jennifer Ferdinand, told me that for the gift I received, I needed to pay another $12. Of course, that doesn't break the bank, but it's the principle of the matter. When full price is paid for a gift, and the establishment unilaterally decides to raise prices, the gift should still be honored at the price paid. Especially, when the gift certificate says nothing about price increases and it says nothing about only being honored based on the dollar value purchased. A strong case can be made that the printed gift certificate represents the contract between the establishment and the customer. And, if it says it is good for a 60-minute massage thru Dec 22, 2018 - then it should be honored under those terms and conditions. Note: expiration dates are what protect establishments from the increased cost of doing business over time. Unfortunately, after a relaxing 60-minute massage, I am confronted by the owner who smugly says, "I have covered my bases because I included this on my website." ... hmmm? Yes, it is mentioned on your website, but, NO, Jennifer, you did not cover your bases. To do so, you needed to include this policy on the gift certificate - which in court would represent the agreement between us; not what you subsequently post on your website. I gave the owner the opportunity to do the right thing, which she chose not to do. I didn't really argue the matter at the time because I didn't want to ruin the relaxed state I was in. But, in retrospect, this was a poor way to treat a customer. Now, I have a choice. To let folks know what happened, and not go back. There are many other good spas in the area. Jennifer, do you really think the extra $12 was worth it? read more
