Nice nail salon. They spend more time on toe skin/nail area thank other salons if that's your thing. I personally prefer longer foot massaging instead. I had the worst manicure. I chose a Polish that was apparently old. The tech thinned it. It was still, too, thick. but she continued using it. Then I had a pedi - average. I asked to have them straight. No, they were round. Told her again. She tried to correct, but it was, too, late. Upon leaving I told the tech that I was unhappy with my manicure. At that point it was still very soft. Showed her a mail that was smudged. She said she would fix it. I told her it all needed to be redone. She said "next time choose another Polish". Wrong answer! I have been going to Serene Nails for about 3 years and the three sisters and their team do a great job. Whether it is a fill or a pedi my nails always look great. In the last year I was struggling with traditional acrylic and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. No matter how short I went I seemed to break them very easily. The sisters (Jenny, Ivy and Francis) put their heads together and tried different methods to make them stronger. Finally landing on liquid acrylic (at least I think that is what it is called). I have been using it for the last couple of months while my Jiu Jitsu still struggles, my nails still look great! read more

Third time coming here as of today. I've lived in the area for 3 years and went to Lynn's Nails prior, but highly suggest this place. It's a family owned business and everyone is super fun and friendly. They stay pretty busy so I definitely advise calling in advance for your appts vs walk-ins. They also still require face masks so come prepared. I see Jenny (sister of Frances) who is so nice and sweet. She's in with the trends and fun neons, jewels, hand drawn prints and coffin shaped nails. This is why I switched places because they have SO many options. I typically find what I want on google and Jenny impresses me each time and does it exactly as my photo! Their pedicures are awesome and relaxing as well. I've been getting acrylic nails for almost 30 years and this is the only salon that I've ever been to where my nails have lasted 3 to 4 weeks until I went back for a fill. They use high end products and take the time to make sure your nails look fantastic. Their prices are little bit on the higher side, but are still very comparable to the other salons in the area. However, I'm actually saving money since I don't have to come every 2 weeks. I highly recommend going to this salon. All of their nail technicians are very good. My mom took me here for a pedicure. She said she read good reviews on Nextdoor and wanted to try it out. A mother and daughter were the ones giving us pedicures. They were both so sweet and did a wonderful job. My mother and I had a great experience, and our feet felt and looked amazing! I always stick my feet on my husband's legs at night to warm them up, and that night he said my feet were so soft! It was definitely because of the pedicure. I rarely get my nails done (hands or feet), but anytime I do, this is where I will go. Although after this experience I will try to make it a point to go more often. read more

I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. My pedicure was the worst I've ever received. The older male who did mine wouldn't even out my crooked toenail because he "already applied the topcoat." I told him I would gladly wait til it dried to be filed but he started on someone else's nails. After waiting 20 minutes, I figured he wasn't going to bother fixing anything. I decided I'd rather leave everything the way it was and come here to show others what pride they take in their work instead. As soon as I stepped in the sun, I noticed the topcoat was totally gritty and my cuticle trim was a joke. I decided I'd be better off having my usual go-to place Pink Petals on 92nd and Shea fix this mess. I'll never come back and advise others to look elsewhere. I went twice. The first time they upsold me on a callus removal and mani and I said ok even though I do both myself regularly. I don't know if I'll go back anytime soon since the last time I was charged full price for a pedi that I requested as express due to visitors and my agenda, when I inquired about no nail color or lotion I was told that I pay full price for however far they get in the pedi. So 28 is an express pedi consisting of nail color removal, trim with a cuticle clipper(ugh!) And shaping with a cuticle cleanup. read more

But then at the end of my appointment when I'm about to pay the total is 79 not including tip. I was a bit disappointed actually. My normal nail tech at another location is out of town for a month. I researched nail salons close to my place... I looked at reviews and finally decided on this location and made an appointment with Jenny who had amazing reviews.... Jenny did not do my nails. They had a new tech (2nd day) do my dip. It's bumpy in places and one nail has already chipped. I was really hoping I'd have the great experience everyone else has had with Jenny. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this salon. The front desk staff and 2 women who were standing there when I walked in were very nice but the gentlemen who did my pedicure was less than friendly. First of all I at with my feet in the water for at least 20 minutes before he came over. Then I noticed all his tools were the same ones he just used on the last person. During my service I noticed he was spraying them with a clear substance which I hope was alcohol. He also kept touching items that were on the ground then would go back to doing my pedicure. When trimmed my toenails he used a cuticle cutter and never filed them so all of them are uneven. The worst being my right big toe (see picture). He was very aggressive on trimmed my cuticles, so much so that he cut deep enough for me to have a little scab form on the bottom right corner of my right big toe (see picture). And finally, he hardly muttered a word to me....to get me to switch feet he would just use his pointer finger and tap my foot 3 times. Overall, I felt like an inconvenience to my nail tech assigned to me and the $44 I paid for the Love on Top pedicure wasn't worth the results I got. I wanted to like this place, it get glowing reviews but I didn't experience any of that. Maybe because I'm not a regular client? read more
