I made a walk in appointment because I wanted my nails done for the holidays - nothing extravagant but just regular polish. I didn't feel very welcome from the moment I sat down however whoever greeted me at the front was amazing I'm talking more about my technician, I just felt almost a judgement the whole time? Maybe because I was a walk in or the simple service I request I'm not sure either way the whole time in the chair just kind of felt uneasy to me. I get that regular polish chips after maybe a week however I took these pictures 3 days after I got my nails done. In my opinion this is ridiculous and I feel ashamed to have wasted my money for something that wasn't even going to last. Again I get that regular polish chips but completely falling off after 3 days??! I won't be coming back here as the last two services I have had have been subpar. The manicure itself before it started flaking off was also uneven and there was a part of my nail that was "wrinkled" and the technician didn't bother to fix it before I dried my nails waited the 10/15min and then paid left a tip and then left and went on my way. First red flag: when my usual place couldn't take me I called here and they said I can come right away. second red flag: they make you sign a release of liability for a service!!!! What!?! Third red flag: they have anti-fungal treatment on the front counter for you purchase (a-hemmm) The woman working on me brought out the CLEAN tools AFTER I ASKED TO NOT TO USE THE SOILED ONES!! He was leaving the next day for a month of vacation to Vietnam to visit his family. Knowing that Vietnam is famous for Jade jewelry, I asked him how much a bracelet would cost. When he gave me the price, I realized it would be out of my budget and we changed the subject. I had not paid much attention to the young man sitting on my left. When this gentleman finished having his own manicure, much to my surprise, he stood up and handed two $100 bills to Tom and said buy this delightful Grandma a Jade bracelet. He walked out of the salon without giving me a chance to thank him. I thought it was a joke. I had another appointment today with Tom who had just returned from Vietnam. I never really thought I would get a bracelet, but as soon as I walked into the Pink Petal Nail Salon, I was handed a box and inside was the beautiful Jade bracelet I am wearing in this picture. If you are out of town and looking for a good place for a nail fix, DO NOT come here. Called for appointment for daughter and I for full service mani pedi. Never had we been rushed so badly and it's so annoying that they are giving such attitude. And very bad strong chemical smell when you enter. My daughter threw up. Additionally, I forgot to mention they did manicure first and then pedicure, so my daughter's mani was obviously finished early and they separated us to move her to pedicure section which I had to constantly look back and check on her. I mentioned on my call that she is four and wanted to make sure she has a good experience, the lady who answered the phone assured me, however the whole experience was completely opposite. The woman who did her nails was rude, rushing and gave so much attitude. Is it just in this salon that you do mani first then pedi, for both adult and child? My daughter's service was NOT 45 mins. I had to move to sit close to her and gave her my phone for entertainment and NO ONE was there doing anything for her. If you know kids' service takes less time then you should organize better. Do not go there unless you absolutely want to risk it and ruin your mood for vacation. read more

First time visiting this nail salon. I called ahead and they were able to accommodate me within the next 30 minutes. Cass did my full set of gel x nails. She also did the removal of an old set. She was efficient and detailed. I am very happy with my full set. Ken did my gel pedicure. He also removed old gel polish. He helped with some of my ingrown toenails which I appreciate more than he knows! He was extremely detailed with my cuticles. Overall a great pedicure. No complaints, just compliments! Came here because of all the great reviews but was significantly disappointed. When I checked in before I even got into the chair I was asked which pedicure package I wanted. There was a very obvious hesitation with one of the employees about doing my pedicure. Found out it was because she had an appointment. Her appointment walked in when she was still doing my pedicure and it created a very awkward situation. I get that they accept walk ins, but don't accept someone if your quality of service is going to suffer because you want to make sure you're available for your next appointment. I pay for a service and it was rushed. Very disappointing. I would have gladly waited if I had known there was an time conflict so that I could receive the service that I'm paying for. I even tipped when I really didn't want to. Didn't remove calluses (literally paid for the package that has that) barely gave a massage (again literally what I'm paying for) and didn't trim cuticles very well. There's still dry skin on my toes. Employees sit in the chairs and put their dirty shoes on the foot rest and do not put plastic covering on the foot rest when doing your pedicure. Also the waiver makes them not liable for any dirty hands it's they have. Highly recommend not going here because of sanitary issues. Won't be going here again and if service is something you care about, I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

I got a severe nail infection - it's very painful and my doctor let me know that I might need to get my toe nails REMOVED. I removed my pedicure after realizing my nails were in pain, something I've never experienced before. While removing the polish, I noticed my nails were DETACHING FROM THE SKIN. Over a few days, the pain and detachment got worse and worse and I went to the doctor. She told me I had a severe nail infection from visiting a nail salon that didn't properly sanitize their tools. She said there is nothing I personally could have done to give myself this infection, and the timeline aligns with my pedicure. I'm getting put on medication that has a high failure rate + have been warned that nail removal is on the table. It's spread to multiple nails across both feet. I went to this salon for the first time on a recommendation from a friend (who does gel nails). I made an appointment a week in advance for a regular (NOT gel) french pedicure. Upon check-in, I was told that I was going to be serviced by a woman technician who was very skilled in french manicures. Then, a regular customer came in without an appointment and asked if she could be seen for a full set of gel nails. She then asked if the woman who was supposed to take me could take her. The front desk woman (who was very nice) said that she could not have the woman as she was doing my french manicure. As I was selecting my color, I saw the regular client get seated with the woman who was supposed to do my service. I am sure it was all about the money! A full set of gel nails is probably way more expensive than a pedicure. Anyway, then I was assigned to a man for my pedicure who first did not open a set of clean tools in front of me. So, I asked him to get a clean set. He did so begrudgingly and then tried to still use the set of already opened tools. After a bit of back and forth, he started using the clean set of tools for my pedicure. I actually had to help him clip some of my toenails to the right length as he was not really understanding the length that I wanted. The spa part of the pedicure was good, the massage and stone treatment. However, when it came time to paint my nails, the technician kept complaining that a french manicure on regular/natural nails is too hard and I should get gel nails. I explained that I did not want gel nails done and I came to them for their expertise in pedicures. He painted the white lines at the top of my nails and then painted sideways the base color to try to fill it in below the white. There were gaps between the white and pink/base color. I asked him to redo several nails which he did his best. One of my big toes has a visible splat of pink running into the white line. I gave up trying to correct everything. I settled for the pedicure and paid $67 for the privilege. I would definitely NOT recommend this salon unless you are the highest paying customer at any given moment.
