Well let's start off with the fact that I got lost going there. For some reason, my phone took me to Franklin Blvd. WTF. So I was getting stressed because I was going to be late. When I did get there, and it was probably 15 minutes late, she was super nice about it, and still let me get my full hour massage. I did purchase a groupon-and it's totally worth it. The online scheduling is super easy, and she is quick to return emails if you have any questions. Like somebody else mentioned, it's in a general office building with not a lot of signs indicating so. It was dark when I went, so maybe I missed it...but once you're actually physically there and getting the massage it's heaven. Let's go over what else I could have done wrong that night. Getting lost. Check. Being late. Check. Forgetting to turn my phone on silent. Check. Forgetting to turn off my 8:30pm daily alarm. Check. So here I am super relaxed and feeling good and my phone starts going off. She was nice about it and said forget about it, it's a nice sounding alarm. Lol. I thought it would turn off eventually...it didn't. So picture bells chiming for ten straight minutes. Hey the massage was still great! Then towards the very end of the massage (which I would have been done if I wasn't late) my husband calls so now a harp starts playing, but he mistook a 'groupon massage' for a 'craigslist massage' and called me five straight times to make sure I was still alive. lol. I have been going for more than 6 months after finding her Groupon and have never been dissatisfied. It is always such a treat because Kaelyn is so sweet and makes you feel welcome and immediately relaxed. I get the 90 min massage which is perfect! Kaelyn is very good at reading people, if you like to talk she will talk, but by default she will give you a nice quiet, almost meditative massage. She also will find your tense parts and adjust the massage accordingly to pay more attention there. Her new facility is in an older Victorian style house up the back steps. It is clean, comfortable and well appointed, water/tea is also available. Parking is on the street but there always seems to be plenty as it is a very quiet street downtown. Kaelyn is absolutely fabulous. I found her through a Living Social deal for 3 massages at a great price. Every massage has been wonderful. My first massage was a general, all over massage that left me feeling great for days. My next massage she focused in almost exclusively on my shoulders and upper back and I was the best kind of sore after leaving, where all the knots I didn't know I had been carrying were relaxing. Finally, and perhaps the massage that speaks most to Kaelyn's skill, was my massage earlier this week. My arthritis was giving me trouble around a couple of joints and so I didn't want her to give them the deep massage she normally provides. She still gave me the massage I love everywhere else but when she got to my problem areas, switched to a "lymphatic massage" style - much lighter strokes working to get the blood moving. My range of motion in my elbow was significantly better after leaving Kaelyn and has continued to be good for me this whole week! Her space is calm and peaceful. If you're looking for a spa, this isn't it - but the waiting area and massage room aren't lacking, just quietly relaxing. She always has water and hot tea available for before or after your massage. And she starts every massage off with a hot water foot soak/massage. She also has great hours in the evening and an easy online scheduler for making reservations and canceling, so you never have to play phone tag (which I hate!). Absolutely love Kaelyn! Found her with a Groupon and have been back three times. She's great at customizing to your needs and tensions. I love the atmosphere of her studio on S, immediately calming and soothing. She starts out with a foot soak/massage to get you to relax and find a quiet place in you before the full massage. I like this because I'm not one to jump on getting undressed and on the table right away. The foot massage brings you to a place of comfort first, perfect. The full bodywork is my favorite, and she does excellent work on my shoulders and back (the worst! I'm sure for many). Fluid with good pressure. I absolutely recommend her!!! Massage was lovely but dealing with the money part with her was a pain and I will not be returning. I bought her promo through Yelp which paid in full for the massage but then in order to book an appointment I had to pay $30 (in case I didn't show up she would keep this money). I didn't like this but had already paid for the massage. I spoke with her on the phone and she said she would refund me after the massage. The last thing you want to deal with after a relaxing massage, that you have already paid in full for, is being told I should just leave that money there for my next massage (which I had not planned on yet) and then having to say no, I want the refund as you said you would do. The refund took over a week to get to me and then my money is now in PayPal, not back to my credit card like I used to make the payment. I now have to link my bank account to PayPal to get my money back and wait 2-3 more days in order to avoid a fee. This is such a hassle and I will not be coming back. read more

I would definitely recommend a massage here. Though the facility is not the fanciest (it is in what appears to be a general office building), the massage speaks for itself. I started off with a foot soak and massage which I didn't even know was included. It was amazing, especially after a long day of teaching. I then had an hour and a half massage using my livingsocial vouvher, which included a head and neck massage. It was a very effective massage, working out the knots in my shoulders. My only wish is that more was done to my head, since I find that very relaxing. But I was too entranced to ask, so I guess I can't complain. read more

I really enjoyed my experience. I received a lymphatic drainage massage for the first time. I did this to reduce swelling post surgery. I wasn't sure what to expect as I have only done standard massages. My appointment started with a foot soak and massage that I dosed off during. Then we moved to body work wear she started at my head and worked down. For this specific massage the touch is very light and uses tapping and gentle strokes to get the post surgery fluid moving. It was soooooo relaxing. I go for another one next week and can't wait. I was sure to drink lots of water before and after. I believe that it has reduced some swelling and discomfort. read more

I first was introduced to Serene Relaxation back in 2017.  I interviewed many Doula's and after meeting Kaelynn I knew right away that she would be the best fit person for my family and I.  The maternity massages were excellent as well.  I was always asked about strength especially since I was pregnant, always focused on my needs and was very patient with me.  When I found out I was pregnant again I instantly reached out to Kaelynn and let her know of my needs and she was once again right by my side and there for me each and every step.  This 2nd time around we were at the beginning stages of our shut downs and restrictions due to the Pandemic 2020.  This was difficult time but Kaelynn was always there for me each and every step.  There were many instances where she couldn't be with me in person because the hospital would not allow it and also times where we could not meet in person for general follow up and questions I had.  In these instances we did Zoom calls voice and video, emails, texts and I will say Kaelynn always made me feel like she was right there with me each and every step.  She was always super supportive, thoughtful, kind and open to any of my thoughts and decisions that I shared with her.  I must say Kaelynn is hands down the best support system anyone can have and I would not change this for anything.  She did a phenomenal job during my pregnancy and post pregnancy and she truly is a blessing. read more
