I had just help my mom pack up her house and knew I needed to get a massage soon after. I made an appointment at Serene Retreat Spa for a CBD Massage. I discussed my areas of concerns with Tonja before the massage (which was mostly my tired legs from lots of trips up and down stairs). I didn't even mention the knots that frequently appear in my shoulders. Didn't matter. She handled them ALL. Not painfully, but intentionally resolving some adhesions with a multitude of pressures and modalities. I never tell people I have a degree in physical therapy going into a massage. But I can tell you, she understands musculature, the power of massage and massage techniques to address concerns. I am extremely excited and grateful I found Serene Retreat. Worst service ever... they are rude and liars. DO NOT COME HERE. They don't answer phone calls and they pushed us away because I had a child with me. It would've been helpful if they told me when I called that they didn't allow kids, but they didn't answer my calls. And they denied rescheduling my appointment, and that I had to pay extra 45$. My wife and I had the couples massage as an anniversary gift in November 2016. Really enjoyed it! Deep Tissue massage was amazing. Best massage I've had. Champagne and chocolate strawberries to enjoy before. Facility smells great and its very clean. Both therapists were very professional, polite and nice. They have awful customer service and will call their customers liars if they don't get positive feedback. Very unprofessional and their customers attack other past or potential customers based on their opinions. Very rude and would never recommend anyone go there. Save your money and go elsewhere. Do not EVER go here, they do not answer the phone and have the worst customer service skills I have ever seen! I have advised all of my friends/family not to visit and I would advise you all of the same. They are very unprofessional and refused to service a friend of mine and even refused her a refund for no good reason, except for the fact that they judged her based on appearance/presence. There is a lot to be said about this place. I called maybe 4 or 5 times, and my calls went un answered. 6th time I called and finally got a snippy lady who acted like my phone call wanting an appt was putting a crimp on her whole day..at work...at a SPA. I just wanted a simple massage to treat my stay at home momma self. I needed tos score my appt won a credit card. I get that, I do. People don't cancel or show than your workers are out their monies. But I had the BIG feeling that even if I cancelled per their policy, I would just get charged if the wind blew them the other way. Or if the person answering the phone 8 calls later stubbed her toe. Also, since they never answer phones, they probably purposefully don't answer phones with clients phone numbers close to that cut off time so that they lose out on cancelling. Here on vacation and I'll be going somewhere else for sure. And apparently others have had the same phone issues. So, proceed with much caution. read more

Received a gift card from my sister as a birthday gift and so glad she did!!!! It was hands down the best massage I have ever had!! I made my appointment online which I love. I arrived 10 min early as stated on their website. I was greeted by Tasha who was also my masseuse. She was very kind and attentive. I explained to her all of my troubled areas in my back and upper shoulders and she paid attention to every spot I told her about as well as other spots I didn't even know I hurt! Tonja was awesome!!! I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and she adjusted to my needs perfectly. Unlike other massage companies, Tonja really focuses on the high tension areas and knots. What I love most is that Tonja adjusts the firmness of the massages throughout based on what areas need more and less. Whereas other places, basically just rub lotion on your body. NEVER COME HERE!!! I am never coming back to this place, they are terrible. I had come 10 minutes before the appointed time and the staff was busy with someone else. So I finally am seen 20 minutes past my time and go to the room as instructed. I am on the table and ask the lady if they can add an extra 20 minutes since it wasn't my fault and they started late. She said no and left the room. Finally she comes back, and keep in mind I have no idea what's going on with this place, and hands me a phone saying it is the owner. I was confused because I hadn't asked to speak to the owner yet. Anyways the owner informs me I can come back for the extra 30 minutes at a later appointment. Now I am a bit upset because I've already paid for an hour and I'm not even getting that. I give the phone back to the lady and continue to just lay there until she got off the phone. When she came back in I informed her what the owner had said and she just looked at me and said NO! I said excuse me, and the therapist said that she had just got off the phone with the owner and that she didn't say that. I said why would I lie, the owner said I could come back for another appointment. Then she told me she wasn't playing games and to get off the table, keep in mind I am undressed. I didn't know what the problem was, but this place is full of sh*t and I would NEVER recommend!! So I asked for my money back and they refused to give it to me since it was a Groupon. I was already pissed at this point, but I finally got the hell out of there. This place was nasty anyways, who knows they might have hurt me during the massage or something if I ended up staying.
