I enjoy getting massages on a regular basis, but even though this has always been the case, I can say I was never really 100% satisfied, until I came to Marissa. By far, the best massage therapist I have been to. I have been receiving regular 60 minute to 2 hour massages from Marissa for 3 years now and will never again go to anyone else. I enjoy Marissa's deep tissue massage after a long stressful week. Or, if I am tight and sore after long gym sessions, I urgently make an appointment with Marissa for full body cupping or an Ashiatsu massage (this is a must try!). IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING, MARISSA ALWAYS HAS A MASSAGE TO MAKE MY BODY FEEL BETTER. Lately I have added face cupping or lymphatic face massage to my sessions. Marissa is an absolute gem! Professional and courteous, she runs an excellent set up. I know it can be hard to find a decent massage therapist, but I was recommended to her by one of her long time clients, and I will be a faithful client to her for as long as she has hands! As a new client she offered me a first time special rate, but her regular prices are more than fair. More importantly, she doesn't push a monthly contract like some other chain places that I've been to, who needs that kind of stress when you're trying to relax! I opted for the 1 hour deep tissue massage that included some special tools to help loosen up years of shoulder and back pain. I've had MANY massages in the past, and none have made me feel as relaxed, or as mobile as the one done by Marissa's hand. You can call or go online to schedule, I chose online scheduling, which was best for me and couldn't be easier. She is very knowledgeable and answers any and all questions, no matter how silly they may seem (and trust me, as a first timer, I have plenty.) Her studio is tidy and intimate, which is perfect for me because after a long day the last thing I want to is to deal with more people than I have to. I am so happy that I trusted the other reviewers and booked an appointment. I had an Ashiatsu massage and hands down...or should I say feet down..lol..the best massage of my life!!! I felt so amazing afterwards. Shoot...it's been almost three weeks now and I still feel great. No more pain and tight muscles. She literally ruined it for all other masseueses. I found Marissa through groupon and was scared at first to book because I wasn't sure what to expect. I had a prenatal massage previously at Massage green spa but it was nothing special or pain relieving but this massage was totally different . I felt very relaxed and comfortable thanks to Marissa and she did a great job applying pressure on those areas that were most tense . Marissa is simply the best at what she does. I was very hesitant about massages until I was in severe pain with an arthritic shoulder requiring complete reconstruction over 2 years ago. Kaiser had me getting a quick 5-10 minute on the shoulder and around it and charged me $50 every 2 weeks. My wife had bought me a gift massages for an hour and thank God Marissa was the therapist I got as she has changed my life to have a 90% pain free shoulder. It still needs a complete reconstruction but I can function and delay it for years hopefully as the doctors want. My wife now sees her Sodo and she hates anyone touching her but is being helped by Marissa's very customized massages. She specializes in so many areas and is always training in new ones to build her knowledge of her craft. I guarantee you will not be disappointed and you will need this in your life.
