This is a new place that had just opened. And I visited a…read morelittle over a month ago. I went there beucase recently my fingers were starting to feel stiff and uncomfortable. Especially when I woke up in the mornings, they were very stiff. I explained that to Dr. Lee. He was very attentive and one of the main causes was probalbly the blood circulation. And I told him it was maybe because I played a lot of golf recently and he asked me to stop playing for a few weeks. So after one single treatment, the stiffness in the morning was gone. It was very surprising. A bit of discomfort still remains, but I am trying to go a few more times, and I can predict that that will probably go away. For me it was definitely worth going. After less than 5 minutes in the room, he informs me I have some kind of bacteria that I've brought back from Mexico and prescribes me high dose antibiotics. He didn't even ask me what other medications I was taking before prescribing them. I had to do the research on my own to figure out that I could have possible heart failure if I mixed these antibiotics with another medication I take daily. As if this wasn't enough, less than a month after my visit, I get a bill from the office informing me that I owe them for my visit because my insurance has refused to pay it. I immediately called my insurance and they have no record of the claim and say that as soon as they receive an invoice, they will pay it. I hang up with them and call the doctor's office. They tell me that they have billed my insurance 4 different times for the visit....in less than a month?!?! I seriously doubt it. I inform them that my insurance is more than willing to cover the visit but they have never received the invoice. They tell me they will send it again. Now, 3 months later, I get a notice that they have sent me to collections for not paying my bill. I got one notice from them...ONE! And I was in touch with their office immediately after receiving the first and only communication from them. They clearly have my address as they sent me the first notice and God knows I had to write my phone number down enough times to give me carpal tunnel syndrome. They couldn't even call and let me know they still couldn't get through to my insurance?! These people clearly care only for money and nothing for their patients.

The staff REFUSED TO READ THE AUTH. They had to go back to the VA which took months. Diagnostics are preauthorized. The staff refused to look for it and in the end got several letters telling them it was preauthorized. This was early OCTOBER! End result, I did not get the MRI until Feb or March! WTF! So their being lazy denied me care for five to six months. The Dr. requested PRT plasma rich therapy. It was aproved. AWESOME! Again their staff didn't have it, I had to download my records and send it to them and call the VA to resend it. No problem right? WRONG! I can hardly walk by then and its only gotten worse now. The Dr only gives me steroid injections that no longer work. Whats the point? Last visit, I say good news, and ask, "So what is the treatment plan?" \ She begins ranting, when I bring up the PRT, "The VA authorized it, but they won't pay it...they won't pay what its worth." WTF? You have an auth and a contract. She now says, "Amniotic therapy is what I want to do, but you have to pay for it. Because the VA won't!" WTF! She had an auth that was aproved and now she doesn't want to do it and wants to do something that is not and that insurance won't cover to be paid under the table. That is highly questionable. I again ask, "What is the treatment plan." Again she rants, "I ordered braces and that which you will have to pay for....thats the plan." To date there have been no requests for braces and no request for additional care. At the conclusion of that apt, I ask, "So how long before a followup" she replies, "As needed" that is not an answer. Since steroids no longer work and there are no requests for braces or other care. So she is doing unethical practices in my book. Buyer Beware! I have reported them to the inspector general and they are now very interested.

She remained patient, answered my many questions, and helped me to understand the processes around me. When she departed for lunch, Maria assisted me with water and a snack. I was struggling with my medical assisted devices but she bought them to me without hesitation. I do enjoy customer service done correctly! Chris was whom who took me back to see the doctor. He was kind, considerate, professional and kept the humanity in the processing of measurements, testing and preparation for the doctor. He was sincere in treating me like a person, not another number patient. A gentle touch goes a long way! Dr. Dizay was also kind. She had reviewed my chart, had questions, testing and was prepared. She was efficient, timely and compassionate. I can see how good leadership, begins at the top. Only suggestion would be to inform at scheduling there is a significant packet to fill out before seeing doctor. I could have benefited from bringing someone with me to help fill it out, read or even write. I wasn't sure my documents were as legible as they could have been with my pain while sitting and writing. Overall, I would return. Patients in the lobby were greeted by name and seemed upbeat and pleased with the care.

But I've waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to get a room, not even considering actually speaking with the doctor. The doctor recommended a medication that's not covered under insurance as a first go -WTH. My insurance denied my request for imaging due to lack of medical information by the doctors; the insurance stated what needed to be said which - is the whole point of why I am being seen. Every follow up with the office, I was told it was submitted etc. yet I received the actual paperwork and it wasn't until I filed a complaint with my insurance that this was handled. They think they have passive patients who will let this stuff slide. If you want to be seen timely and get what you need, I wouldn't recommend at all! I have to give a minimum of 1 stars but I'd give a -1 star if I could.
