Randy did my haircut, and was a very nice guy. My hair does look very nice, however, it is not at all how I asked it to be. He cut it so much shorter than I wanted it to be. Before, my hair was so low maintenance I did not even need to blow dry it. Now since it is so short, I must blow try and straighten it in order for it to be presentable. If you go here, be VERY clear on how you want your hair done, or you will be disappointed. While my hair does look nice, it is nothing like what I asked for.

You should RUN, not walk away from this hairdresser. I needed to get a simple haircut and color. I came across a Groupon for B Andrew Organic Salon & Spa. The salon is located at 2050 62nd Ave North, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. The salon owner Andrew had good reviews and I saw his Groupon on the site for over a year so I thought I would give him a try as a new client. When I called to schedule my appointment, Andrew told me, "Don't buy the Groupon. I will do the service for the same price as you see on Groupon." I knew it would help him out so I didn't purchase the Groupon. When I went into his salon on March 1st of this month, I told him that I wanted to have my dead ends cut off and my hair dyed chocolate brown. I told him that most importantly, I didn't want any red in my hair at all. He said he understood and proceeded to just begin telling me how he hates all people who buy his Groupons and wish he never had them as clients. He also continued ranting about how he hates everyone in this world along with stories of his financial problems. It made me feel very uncomfortable but he seemed friendly so I didn't say anything about it. After Andrew cut and colored my hair, I was in shock when he took me back to his chair. My hair was copper red. I felt like I was on a prank TV show. He told me that he should have had me look at a color swatch when I came in and that he forgot. He said he would fix it so I let him proceed, even though my gut was telling me to leave. I wish the botched hair color was the worst of my issues that day at the salon. Andrew dyed my hair again to try to fix what he did. While the color was sitting in my hair, he stepped outside. Immediately after he walked back in, the entire salon filled with the smell of cigarettes. I realized that it was coming from Andrew after he put his fingers that reeked of cigarettes in my hair. After the second dye, my hair was then red on the roots and a brassy brown on the rest of my hair. I left the salon thinking what I was possibly going to do to try to fix this disaster. After I washed my hair, I immediately noticed that my hair began breaking off all over my head. Andrew overprocessed and FRIED my shoulder length hair off. I now have chunks of hair right below my forehead that are only a half an inch long and stick straight up in the air. My beautiful hair is now a damaged frizzy tragedy that I can't even brush through without it breaking more. I texted Andrew and told him what happened and I asked him if I could come back to the salon to show him my hair and he told me that it wasn't his fault and that I should put olive oil in it. I couldn't believe my ears. I told him that if he wasn't willing or wanting to help me fix what he did, then I wanted to be refunded for the service because it was going to cost me hundreds of dollars to even try to repair the damage he created. Andrew then completely ignored my texts and calls. After a week of trying to get a hold of him, I left him a voicemail and told him that I was going to have to seek legal counsel if I didn't hear back from him. He immediately called back and went into this psychotic rant about how he did my hair at a discounted price and it took an hour and a half of his time and that he is done with me and won't be helping me in any way to try to fix what he caused or refund me. After yelling at me for two minutes, he hung up on me before I could even say a word back. I have never been talked to in such a degrading way. This is a business owner who has owned this salon for many years. I don't know how he hasn't been shut down yet. Andrew never replied to me after his tantrum, never even look at my hair after he destroyed it, and never refunded me for the $66 service or the $20 tip that I left him. He has since pulled his Groupon listing down after I told him I will be reporting him to Groupon, BBB, Square, Yelp, and my credit card company. I am not sure if he just gave up on caring about his job and salon but he is not a nice person and certainly not one who should own and operate a business. A child could have handled this situation better than Andrew did. I am so devastated by this experience that I had to reach out and let others know. I don't want him to be able to do this to anyone else.

I arrived on time (early even) was put in the room promptly then was left all alone for a good 15 minutes - which was 10 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for. Once my facial started, my spa specialist (the spa director) was texting with her phone on vibrate (far from relaxing). My hour long facial ended 15 minutes early resulting in my facial only being 35 minutes rather than the hour I paid for. If you are looking for anything other than added stress, don't go here!!

The salon seemed pleasant, professional and clean. I'll call the nail tech Sasha but I'm not positive on this memory. She was friendly but gossiped unprofessionally about other clients and her previous employer. I accepted a glass of red wine, chose my polishes and settled into a nice massage chair. Sasha dropped things every 2 minutes. She did not trim my cuticles. She did not exfoliate except in the most cursory way. She did not rinse the extremely soapy water from my feet, she just rubbed the suds away with a dry towel. She smeared the polish all over my nails and cuticles, then brushed at it with alcohol to clean it up, squirting it all over my arm at one point. I was left with smears and bits, honestly it looks like a ten year old did it. Meanwhile, she did not wrap my finger nails to remove the gel polish because "we ran out of tinfoil and anyway I can do it really fast later". Doing it fast entailed scraping away at my nails with an emery board then asking me to submerge my fingers in a bowl of acetone for about two minutes, then scraping the polish off with a cuticle pusher. It feels and looks like the top layer of my nail came off too. I think I was in shock by now. I was not invited to wash my hands and the base coat went on with ground up nail and old polish along the edges and under my nails. She smeared the color on 7 of my fingers before I stopped her; I even saw some of my old color on the edges. Someone else (a very compassionate and professional woman) took over and expressed dismay at the state of my poor nails. More soaking and scraping and vigorous rubbing with an emery block/buffer and I was able to escape. The owner "Liann" obviously witnessed all of this but did not approach me or say anything until I called out to her to relate my concerns. She looked at my nails and said sorry and asked what I wanted. I said I certainly don't want anyone to try to do my nails now or ever, it's too late and not possible to fix them at this point. At this point I had been undergoing this incompetence for just over TWO hours and I just wanted to leave. Sasha had the nerve to say my nails were damaged and that is why I was unhappy. Yes, my nails are thin. How does that justify smearing polish all over my cuticle? I gave them my coupon but did not leave a tip. Even mediocre service deserves 20%, and I tip more when I'm really happy but I was leaving with my toes looking like a blind person did them and my fingers damaged and unpolished. I was embarrassed and traumatized by this experience. My nails are still sore the day after. I will never return and plan to file a complaint with Hillsborough County. I question whether "Sasha" is even licensed. I don't care about the money, it was a small amount, but I would rather stick a fork in my eye than return to Renu Ultra.
