I came to get a pedicure this past Wednesday and to say the service or lack of was beyond rude and unprofessional is an understatement. Now I must state that it was not the typical type of service I was use to receiving which is why I started coming here to get my nails and toes done. On last week I came in and was told there was about an hour wait and to leave my number so they could call me when someone was available. Perfect. I went to run a quick errand and came back to sit in my car. When the call came that someone was available I said thank you and proceeded to walk into the shop. I was acknowledged and directed to a foot spa. I sat soaking for a while when someone was called to do my pedicure. She ended up assisting someone else that came in after me. Long and short I felt that in itself was rude and unprofessional and removed my feet from the tub and left. I have attempted to write this review all week and just getting to it now on Saturday. I have returned to the spa to get the pedicure I wanted. Per the norm I picked out my polish and was Lawrence directed to the pedicure area. After 10/15 min of soaking the technician that I thought was suppose to do my pedicure my last visit came over --- I told her I didn't want her to do my pedicure and why as to how the events unraveled from my point of view the last time I was there. The conversation that took place at this time is why I chose to return. Things happen for a reason and this is why I believe I couldn't complete the review for this time. It turns out the lady that came In after me had an appointment with the tech I thought was suppose to do my pedicure. The tech wasn't upset with my reaction to my last experience and our interaction was calm and respectful. We discussed the events and was able to move forward. My pedicure was amazing as always and my toes look great. I am glad I came back and will return again. Thank you for continuing to provide excellent customer service. read more

I have no clue why the bad reviews.... while traveling I had some time to kill before the airport and had to get my nails filled. This was right off the highway next to the Carrabbas location I frequent. It's large. Inviting and the owner, Haan was quite welcoming. I told her I had to catch a flight in 2 hours and she and another woman worked on my nails and toes at the same time. Talk about wonderful service! An excellent pedicure as well. EDITED REVIEW I got my nails done last week... It is now Wednesday not even a full week after I got a fill with a gel polish and a gel polish pedicure Three of my nails lifted and popped off. How the hell does that happen when you have acrylics and a fresh fill????? I will not be recommending this salon to anyone in the future. I recommended it to a friend who lives in Douglasville and her gel polish is peeling off her toes as well. I wish I could have my $85 back read more

I wanted to give this place a negative one but the ratings wouldn't allow it...DO NOT USE THE TRASH ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!! I showed the picture I wanted and an 8 year old with a clip board helped me pick the color... I provided the color to the technician and a picture of what I wanted.... I got something totally different than what I asked for and nail polish was all over my feet ... the owner was super rude when confronted about the issue and got offended and told me to stop talking to him .... The manager tried to fix my issue but the rude owner had to have the last word and kept wanting to argue so I left the establishment .... If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The lady that did my toes messed up, then got an attitude I asked her to fix it. The nail tech that walks around in heals was messing up the design that I wanted (which was literally an outline around my nail) when I pointed it out, she said she didn't see anything wrong. When a customer says they are unhappy with your work, fix it or maybe suggest something different if you can't do it. read more

Finally!!! A relaxing, calming and quiet nail salon. Today was my very first visit. I was instantly greeted upon entering the salon. I was then offered a drink and told to choose my polish I requested a much needed pedicure. I was shown a menu of services and chose the Essential Pedicure which was priced very affordably My pedicure was done by Troy He was very nice,quiet and gentle. He did a great job without being rough on my feet. I was even able to take a quick nap as he worked. There were no strong smells of chemicals, thank goodness. The tools used on my feet were new and opened out of the pouch in front of me. The place is all white and very clean. I enjoyed every minute of my service. Im so glad that we now have such a place here in Douglasville. I wil without a doubt return very soon!! read more

That place is unprofessional and the owner was very rude to us. My daughter and I got eyelash extensions done for her bday, we looked like drag - queens!! They told us to come back the next day to get them fixed, we arrived and were 3 hours in the salon, cause the eyelashes were hard and painful to come off. the owner Chris arrived and kicked us out without any explanation, nn renewal and no refund was granted. The place next door helped us and took my daughters lashes off within 5 min... I am an out of towner, but I want people know about the treatment that we received. Totally uncalled for. Serenity nails, this was anything but a serene experience. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the smell of acetone and monomer liquid, due to poor ventilation of the space. The staff was unpleasant. I went with my mom and her friend. My mom is disabled and her friend was recovering from a procedure. We just wanted some pampering and our normal spot was closed on Sundays. My mom's friend had a technician who instead of giving her direction, would yank her toe. The technician messed up the polish and when our friend said something about it the technician started to mouth off then our technicians started to yell at her in a language we didn't know. The hostile tech walked off, my mom's tech finished our friend's pedicure while my mom just sat there, then she was finished. We all had to pay full price. To say this is one of the worst nail experiences would be an understatement. read more

When I walked in, I immediately wanted to walk out due to the lack of people in there on a Thursday. I asked for a simple service since no prices were posted. They asked for me to be seated at the end seat, where a male was watching tv on his phone. Took him 3 minutes to acknowledge me. When his episode went to commercial he looked up. I really do not like to be negative but I was there today and this was the worst service I have ever had. The staff was so unfriendly and they all act like they were hiding in the back. None ever even spoke to us but the lady doing the pedicure and she could not even speak English or understand anything I was saying. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Awful service! I walked in with my daughter and handicapped mother in law to get manicures. When we walked in we were not greeted. The only greeting was "what service you getting?". I told the gentleman three manicures. He says have a seat. So we sat down then he says about 10 min later go to the station and sit. I said ok I'll let my mother in law to first. He says "whoever". I'm still just taking it and not saying anything. So I took my mother in law to the station and my daughter and I went back to the waiting area. Then a young lady tells us to go sit at the next two stations. We proceeded. Then the same rude gentleman says to me "I need you to move down". I then asked him not to be rude to me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I walked in for a pedicure and SNS I picked my color and everything was fine until the lady doing my pedicure was more concerned about the commotion around he and nipped my toe to the point of making me bleed she didn't do the one time this was done two times. I expressed my concerned told her to leave my toe alone. She seemed upset that I didn't let her continue touching my toes I didn't make a big deal about because I knew there was no point to try to make it better the man doing my SNS said that the gel on my toes would not be charged however he lady doing the pedicure use the gel but didn't cure it with the light so it was like regular polish so I really didn't get gel so now my toe is Injured and I have messed up polish I will be reporting them to department of community health because I did see then clean the tool with which I was made to bleed the lady simply put them back in her box which is concerning I hope the owners know that the tech represent their business. read more

This nail salon sucks!!!! I've had two horrible experience's here. The first time I came in and signed in and waited about 20 minutes before they "attempted" to do my nails when another lady walked in that apparently had an appointment with the nail tech they gave me. They then told me I could go after her. I dont understand why they would give me a nail tech that already had an appointment at that time. Its COMMON SENSE NOT TO DO THAT! So i decided to give them another try months later. And boy do i regret it!!! On my second visit after waiting for 10 to 15 minutes (mind you they weren't busy) one of the lady's asked me to pick a color out and have a seat. Well after doing all that. I sat there and waited... And waited.... And waited.... No one asked if i needed my nails done. No one offered to do them. 2 of the nail tech's looked at me and proceeded to go on about their business! So i took it upon myself to just walk out and get my nails done elsewhere. I can't say enough good things about this place. Serenity Nail Bar and Spa is a very clean nail salon operated on the highest hygenic standards. They don't use jet tubs that are known to harbor bacteria & other such bugs, and you get a new nail file and buffer that they seal up for you to keep after your mani/pedi. The staff is great and the salon is beautiful, very refreshing, quiet and a good place to relax while getting pampered. I really like this place! read more

The extra for gel polish was a bit disheartening, but I haven't gotten my nails done in awhile so I don't know the going prices. This is my go-to nail salon. It's clean, quiet, and lives up to its name. Everyone is friendly and I have never had to wait long. They always offer you a beverage. I like that there are different levels of manis and pedis depending on how much you want to treat yourself. I got a gel manicure for the first time recently and it is flawless. I went in on a busy Sunday, and Cindy got me in right away! She did such a great job on my nails! I got a regular full set, coffin style. They were so thin, they looked like my real nails. I broke one the next day (I fell because I am clumsy) and she did a touch up on the polish on all of my nails and the repair for free! I also got a pedicure which was nice, but I wish they had the massage chairs. I liked that they had different scents of sugar scrub and lotion to choose from. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! My daughter was given a "gift certificate"(not coupon) for $100. to Serenity nail she used $61. return to use the$39. balance but was not allowed to use it. Aweful business practices to take money (for coupon) without rendering the service. One of the male employees was rude, I asked him for the name of the owner he refused to give it to me. The pedicure service does not measure up to what we are accustomed to. Serenity also advertise in their brochure that they offer messages, only to get you in to find out that they don't. My daughter tried them because she was given the gift certificate but the next time we will go back to FRIENDLY NAILS (Thornton Rd.) where I get good customer service and they honor the gift certificate you purchase.
